Awful experience! Ordered prosciutto sandwich. It arrived on a week old, rock hard baguette without any prosciutto! The dinner salad had watery bleu cheese :dressing that had no taste at all. Apparently, the chef can t manage the simplest recipes.

We've been here all week in Lake City, this is hands down the best food and atmosphere! Similar to Toad Suck Bucks in Arkansas. It has the right combination of food, drink, personality to make for a relaxing time!

The service is on point. We had the German smoke braut, and the chicken Sammy was great. Cold beer and great setting. Come back every year when we are in this part of Colorado. Good eats!

The food and service were ok and therefore received the 3 stars. BUT the problem was the dog next door. He barked at patrons non-stop and the smell was horrendous. Several patrons left before ordering and we took ours to go. So the experience was easily a one star

We ve come here almost every summer the past few years. The outside seating area is fun and festive. I wish there was more space around the fire pit area. The drinks are good and generous. Food is pretty good too.

The food is good but the portions are small. I ordered the cheese steak with pasta salad and the salad came in a slightly larger version of the ketchup containers at McDonald's. You could legitimately throw it back like a shot of liquor

Went back for dinner and the pasta was similar. It was probably only 1/3 cup uncooked that they used, which isn't much.

If you're hungry I would look elsewhere

Wonderful friendly staff. Everyone asks you if you need anything not just the person who took your order. Wonderful way to to business. Love the food. My favorite place to eat. My husband and I will definitely be back

We dined inside, plenty of fresh air. Waiter spoke up when people entered without masks. Good job man! Fresh food from Mahi mahi to bison. Kids told me that they would definitely go back! Topped off with a smooth Alaskan Amber ale. Nice day to wind down our day after hiking and paddleboarding at Lake San Cristobal.

Would have given 5 stars as the first year we ate here it was awesome! This past fall we stopped in again while camping and the owners were out and it showed in the quality of the food. Service was awesome!!!

Had an interesting experience here half really bad and half pretty good. Don't order the blt (blandest I've ever had) but the burger and fries is good. Also, there is dog seating but be wearing of wait times for it.

I didn't really want to like this place due to the insane concentration of Texans here and the fact that the server did not know which breweries their beer came from. To my surprise the Philly cheesteak ended up being really delicious with lots of mushrooms and really soft bread. The food also came out super fast Back of house was on point.

Cool little saloon with a story. Alfred Packer ate some people, or at least that's what he was accused of. Pulled BBQ pork tacos were good and perfect for a light meal. Mix of tourists and locals made for colorful bar ambience.

We chose this place based on a dark, twisted sense of humor that was titillated by the name. We are quite glad we did too. There was no 4G, no 3G, and barely even cell reception in Lake City today. The lack of cell-phone wielding locals everywhere we visited gives me the impression that this is a usual state, but it meant I couldn't check in at the time of my visit.

Having grown used to this digital appendage, and the inadvertent self-isolation that goes with it, I was a bit surprised by the boisterous parties at the multiple full tables and bar having cross-conversation. The servers and bartenders joined right in, reminding me very much of the few pubs I had opportunity to visit in the UK. For that old-fashioned ambiance alone, a stop here would be recommended.

The Bison Burger with bleu cheese I devoured was quite tasty. I did have to slather it liberally with condiments as it was not the juiciest of burgers ever, though that may also have been remedied by a different choice of cheese. The fries, which Raz talked me into and we paid a little extra for, were very run-of-the-mill.

Raz's scalloped potatoes, on the other hand, were inspired and delicious. The Pork Osso Bucco that they accompanied was melt-in-your-mouth tender and my mouth waters at the memory. The sauerkraut also on that plate Raz described as "the real thing" and "the good stuff," but I can't judge that since a bite of any sauerkraut pretty much causes me to pucker just short of total face implosion.

We also shared the Stuffed Mushrooms for a starter, though I saved description for last since they were the best. I only vaguely looked at the description of the dish, leaving my tongue to guess the recipe. There were so many subtle, complimentary flavors in the stuffing that I happily failed my self-imposed challenge. If we find our way back through Lake City at some point, I'll come back and order 2 sets of the mushrooms for myself and call that a perfect meal.

They had cold beer on tap and a big selection on the menu! We stopped by this place after it being recommended by someone we met out hiking in the area. We had the cheesy pull apart bread, bison burger, philly sandwich, and chicken sammy . All were very good and I didn t get pictures before we chowed down because after a few days camping we didn t waste any time. Eveththing was really good and had a lot of flavor. They have a huge outdoor patio with a fire pit.

Nice casual friendly place. Tried to order steaks two days in a row, they were out so ordered duck instead. They are really the only restaurant after 8pm in September. Southern vittles close around 8pm.

I had the Colorado burger, cooked to perfection! The jalapenos were roastedwith just the right touch of heat. The coffee they brought for dessert was one of the best cups I've had at a restaurant. I will be back.

Real food, awesome, attentive service. We ate in the saloon, as the outdoor grill is waiting for spring, or maybe summer.

First of all, they're open, and even better, the food and entire experience was great! If you're a Packer fan, so much the better. Look for the sign, "Packer Saloon", in the Enos Greenfield Building, circa 1876.

Family friendly, we have a five year old.

Pizza (brilliant and not greasy)
Burgers (unexpectedly awesome)
Sandwiches
Salad (fresh, not from a prepacked bag)
Burrito
Can do vegetarian
They use an oven instead of a frier, by the way.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. We were so happy to hear that there was some place that we could have our dog. But when we arrived with our dog they told us we had to leave because they were having technical difficulties and they were only serving on the inside of the restaurant. There were three other tables in the dog friendly area being served with their dogs however.

Outside seating and they did a great job keeping everyone away from each other and were very careful in handling as far as I could see. We always eat there when we come for a summer visit and the service is always great. I highly recommend the French dip. It's my favorite

Decent beer selection but terrible food and service. Burger was ordered medium, it came out a charred hockey puck adorned with brittle crisps of burnt bacon. It was sent back uneaten but they still tried to charge us for it. Carrying away dishes from the table, the waiter spilled ranch dressing across my dad's lap and walked away without saying a word. I still feel sick from this meal.

Chose place because they allowed dogs on patio. Unfortunately they had only 3 tables for dogs. And they put people without dogs at those tables. We had to wait an hour (with our dogs) to be seated, then 50 minutes for food. The iced tea was good. Doubt I ll be back.
