Our six kids enjoy the science center. Exhibits are substantial enough to occupy half a day or more. Laser shows, science shows, small and very personal planetarium are all wins. Butterfly house is amazing. The "Tinker Tank" is by far our kids (and my) favorite. Membership is a real deal. Loses two star because they're prone to strongly shaming you being human and therefore the cause of all that's wrong with our planet. One IMAX movie even clearly stated that we've done irreparable damage and we're past the point of no return. Evil Humans!

My 4year old loved it. Even Grandpa and Grammy had a great time getting amused with science exhibits along with my 4year old. My family super liked the butterfly exhibit. The planetarium and the dinosaur exhibit were also very well done. There was a science show wherein they were showing multiple effects of light and sound among other things. All on all, it was a great experience and we hope to be a member soon.

IMAX picture and sound is superb

IMAX picture and sound is superb
Wish they would allow advance seat selection
Still, not a bad seat in the house, really
The 3D effects work great at this scale and with the screen so close

If you ve gotten the CityPass, you can choose between the Pacific Science Center or Chihuly. We ended up doing both because after 6pm the admission price drops by $10 for Chihuly. As a group of adults, we collectively thought the interactive exhibits were well done. The planetarium show curated by Dr. Bill was excellent. We had fun picking out constellations in the night sky. It s a fun place if you have extra time and like hands on activities.

The displays were nice and still looked new. A few things were out of order, but that's too be expected. The only problem was almost all, if not all, of it was geared towards young kids. I was expecting at least some of the displays too be a little less basic. So it's not for me now, but for families with young kids it is.

You will only enjoy yourself if you have the mental coefficient of a rat. Or also if you come with children between 5 and 9 years old. In any other situation the museum is a waste of money and time.

Best place for kids

Best place for kids
Tons of activities. Membership prices and one time use fees keep increasing and adding up. But it is very good for kids and safe for families. Be ready to pay around 25 dollars for parking on top of everything else and if you are in Seattle center long, you can use the food center which is outside pscc

Great place that is set up with some good thought. Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. There were even volunteers that were extremely helpful. Kaitlyn was one of these volunteers who actively engaged people to learn more about the planets. I'm very impressed with keen educators such as herself to share her wisdom with the general public. She will go a long way and it's wise of the Pacific Science Center to identify such brilliant individuals that will steer or future to brighter paths. August was the Bubble and Illusions show host who did a fantastic job as well. The script and execution were incredible. We look forward to a repeat visit soon. Even the check-in guy at the front, John was super friendly and made a great first impression. Thanks for a wonderful way to spend Canada Day!

Became a member because I like science and thought it'd be worth it when I was purchasing Pompeii exhibit tickets. But now that Pompeii has left town, it seems the only thing the Pacific Science Center is interested in over-enthusiastically promoting whatever snot and poo-related science extravaganzas they have going on. I like snot and poo as much as the next guy, and I get that engaging kids is important, but come on. There are other areas of science that are plenty interesting and they ignore that.

I ve brought my 2 year old daughter here at least 6 times this year. It s a great place for adults and kids alike. They offer preschool planetarium sessions which are great for the minis. The armory just down the way has great lunch options as well.

Lots of activities and a variety for all ages. They have a buttery garden. They have virtual reality. A touch tank. They have a toddler play area. Lots of free and extra cost shows. You could spend a couple days there. My kid was upset when we left. #reviewsbyelijah

It has a lot of interesting displays and it has many hand on stuff. However I think the displays are for younger kids like 6 to 9 year Olds to play around with it. It still has a lot things that you can learn and try.

My family loves going to the science center. From the butterfly habitat, to the planetarium, to the dinosaur exhibit, to the live science shows. There's plenty of cool stuff to capture my kids' attention. With a family membership, this is always a great place to stop by on a rainy weekend.

The Pacific science center is always a joy to visit! The exhibits there are all very interactive and they often rotate their showings. I really enjoy the butterfly museum and the various physics sections of the science center. Check out the laser dome for cool music showings too!

For the price there wasn't a lot to look at and some of the exhibits were greatly outdated with some not working at all. They have updated some of the exhibits but still have a bit to go. If you're a family living in Seattle with young children it's something fun to do. However, as a traveller and having visited other amazing Science Museums, this one just didn't cut it.
