I visited PacGal the other day with the hopes of purchasing a ring. No one even said hello upon walking in. After looking around for a bit a friendly sales lady was helping me try some on and taking me from one display case to the next and offering me helpful advice on which ring looked better. I was on the verge of making a decision when another of the staff came up to forcefully remind the sales lady that she had to "Go to lunch". She abruptly left, at which point another dour and lifeless looking saleswoman took over and simply waited for me to finish looking at the rings so that she could put them back. It is obvious that they couldn't care less if anyone buys anything at all. They don't seem to have any incentive to make a sale. One got the impression that the employees were simply waiting for the clock to strike closing time so that they could leave. The first lady was helpful and enthused about potentially selling me a ring. I got the impression that the other employees were annoyed that she would even try to sell anything. What a great business model! I like the showroom. There are many beautiful items there. Some of them reasonably priced, some expensive. The selection is great. The service was as if they got people from the department of licensing to work at an antique mall. I don't mean to sound harsh but I simply wouldn't want to buy anything off of a bunch of unfriendly jerks anyway.
