Having come to so many shows over the last few decades, I must report that the quality of the shows is a wonderful thing. Come and enjoy top quality theatre at one of our nations premiere community college venues

The performing arts theater is part of Alan Hancock College. The performances are college students who are taking various courses in the arts. Such as acting, dancing, singing and so on. Anyone with a high school diploma or GED can sign up for college courses.

Fabulous theater company, doing top notch work on the Central Coast of California. We enjoyed their recent production of Peter Pan. From the great sets and technical details (the flying was very well done), to all the actors showing tremendous aptitude and talent, it really is a jewel in Santa Maria. Go check them out!

We've been enjoying PCPA for decades. We've loved Fiddler on the Roof, Forever Plaid, Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Urinetown, Little shop of Horrors, Hairspray, My Fair Lady and more. Mostly in the outdoor Festival Theater in Solvang. This production of the Little Mermaid was somehow a whole new level of achievement for PCPA. The talent, the sets, the props all of it was up there with the very best we've seen. And I don't mean, the best we've seen from just PCPA or other local theater companies, I mean among the best, period.
Specific mention to the costumes, ridiculously creative fun and what a variety!
The other highlight of this production is the fact that so much activity was between the floor and the ceiling. It gave a fullness to the experience, like adding an entire dimension when compared to everything happening on the stage floor. Ariel and Flounder were fantastic but Sebastian stole the show. #BravoPCPABRAVO

It was amazing as always. We have NEVER been disappointed by the productions from PCPA. We've been going for the last couple of decades and I personally would rather see a play here than one at the larger theaters in Los Angeles.

This incredible group of talent NEVER fails to dazzle! From beginning to end the shows are executed with professional perfection. It's magically wonderful and the performances captivate. Every time I attend, it's a thrill of awe at how phenomenally these shows come together. We have a treasure here. I'm sure I'm not staying anything that hasn't already been said, but DO NOT MISS THESE PRODUCTIONS! They are bliss! Take the time and see The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I ve been going to PCPA since grade school, and it is one of my favorite parts of the Santa Maria Valley. While I typically see summer plays at Theatrefest, I love heading over to Hancock to stay up to date on the latest plays during the winter. Support PCPA!

Best live theatre on the Central Coast!! They put on stellar productions, the actors/actresses are well trained and very entertaining. They are very professional. You can order concessions in advance for intermission, they also offer wine now. Robin Williams trained here and the current resident Actor who plays the main character in many of the productions George Walker, is so mesmerizing to watch....I may be partial since I went to High School with him but he is seriously talented!

PCPA is a gem on the central coast. Their productions are top-quality. I really enjoy how the seating is intimate in all of their theaters. The production is set up to address almost every seat in the house. We have seen a couple productions recently and they are all good. I highly recommend PCPA for quality theater in a small setting.

One of the best attractions in Santa Maria on the Hancock College campus. Productions are always well done and priced well. Both musicals and plays are offered. Seating may be hard to navigate for those with mobility challenges.

Seeing a play at the PCPA with my family each Christmas is a cherished tradition from my childhood. I'm always impressed by the talents of the actors, costume designers, set designers, directors, and everyone else involved. They have always surpassed my expectations.

Every performance is unique. Many talented people in all aspects of theater from lights to sound to sets to costumes to actually being on the stage. It is amazing what they do. Definitely worth the cost. As an actor for community theater I need to see what an audience looks like from the stage.

I went to see the Crucible. It was an amazing performance I was blown away. The set design was simple, but ingenious. My only complaint was that the seating a little cramped. But it was worth it!
