Gym and pool is very tired and in desperate need of a revamp. However, the staff are lovely and the personnel is of a higher standard.

The rooms are really cold in winter, the food is OK but expensive... The place is nothing special.
Great golf course, gym, swimming pool, restaurant and other facilities. Very friendly staff.
Been going for 2 months now and can't fault it. The gym is well equipped and never too busy. Nice size pool and jacuzzi very good for just chilling out. Bar is excellent and has stunning views over golf course which is also one of the best around. The course is extremely well looked after and I'd definitely recommend. Haven't stayed in the hotel so can't comment.
A great place nestled in the green hills of northempton, quite an elite place, small but very welcoming hotel rooms
Booked in on a last minute deal room was comfortable and breakfast was good!
Decent course, not too challenging bar prices bit steep!!!
We had our wedding breakfast and evening reception at Overstone and couldnt fault anything! The staff were amazing, nothing was too much. We couldnt have wanted anything better for our wedding. Aarons support on the day was outstanding. Pascal- the food was outstanding! Thank you!
Good location for business people on short visits to Northampton
Played on the 27th Dec, couldn't believe how hard the green keepers had worked to keep the course open which was most appreciated by all. We all had a loveley breakfast, staff were brilliant. We all had a brilliant day's golf a few beers and a meal after. All in all we all had a great day. Thanks to the green keepers and staff for a loveley day.
Went with a member to swim and use the spa facilities. It was great value and the facilities were nice. Clean and tidy. Great staff.
Just had a great lesson at this lovely resort golf course with pro Luke Barney. Look forward to playing this course soon.
We had a very average breakfast at the clubhouse, the golf course and general ammenaties are very well kept
Lovely course in fantastic condition. Rain beat us tho.
Very small room. Rooms were in a separate block. No vegetarian margarine. Butter or nothing for breakfast.
Dreadful, cramped noisy room, very dated decor and fittings, you could hear the slightest footstep from room above, internet barely usable, avoid unless you are playing golf there
The swimming pool is lovely here and the new showers and lockers are a very nice upgrade
Poorly run, dirty small accommodation. I took photos of a filthy bathroom and got in contact not with a complaint, more a concern...I have heard nothing from them. Customer service at breakfast was brilliant but over all very poor and would not part with my money to stay there again.....disappointing to say the least.
Excellent golf course, some delightful holes and great facilities after your game. I love the terrace overlooking the First and Tenth tees.
Complete package everything from the welcome to the goodbye. The restaurant was amazing with views over the golf course and the food was lovely.
Course is looking great at the moment, new owners investing in the course and it is showing.
Golf course was great facilaties Ok room needed a better clean and some maintance jobs resturant food very good staff very pleasent.
Really gorgeous place, very classy and upscale. Golf course is an absolutely beautiful view when eating breakfast or lunch. The gym was nice also, although smaller than your typical gym. Shower was a bit small and hot water was limited but everything overall was amazing. Lovely place to go with a partner.
Wasn't happy with the rooms/apartments at all. Nice surroundings and pool spa area clean and quiet.
Delightful setting and staff. In particular Tia was extremely helpful in the restaurant.
Sandwich for lunch, according to the menu, "garnished salad', came with two slices of tomato.
Very friendly and golf course was in top condition. Well worth looking visit.
Great little golf resort. Service in restaurant left a little to be desired but know this is being worked on. Great for walks and swimming
Great location near Northampton, great views, great club house with extensive menu, reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Lovely leisure facilities. Didn't use golf course. Double room basic. Great breakfast.
Beautiful country setting golf course with a club house, restaurant and bar. Gym and small swimming pool with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Fantastic views from the pool. Wide range of exercise classes on offer. Gym staff motivating and knowledgeable.
As a member, I find the club friendly, inclusive and welcoming. The course is great most of the year. The bar is nice and a good selection of drinks and food is served.
Beautiful setting Food very good Drinks a little expensive
If bunkers had more sand in them then it would be 5 star
Spa day and afternoon tea fantastic treatments 10/10 lovely afternoon tea good quality great price. Facilities on pool side dated and tired looking hence the score . Staff all lovely especially the spa staff they couldn't do enough to ensure we had a nice time
Was a regular gym member and stayed here for a wedding reception.
Bar area was lovely. Brilliant walks/views and obviously great for the golf lovers. Chalets are nice and new/refurbished, food was on point, signed up to the gym here but cancelled after several months as it was quite small and it got overcrowded, good swimming pool and sauna, on the whole a positive experience worth visiting.
I enjoy using the gym here as it's smaller and not full of people showing off. But, it's getting tired and in need of a fresh coat of paint and minor repairs
Nice golf course, changing room for golf visitors is cramped
Nice independent resort, good spa and pool and good restaurant facilities
I have been a member of the leisure-gym side for quite a few years now and it is one one my favorite places to be. Its set in the grounds of the old Overstone House (now a burnt out shell) and the views from the clubhouse and grounds are very attractive. It's now mostly a golf course. The gym facilities are OK and there is a smallish swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The bar area is pleasant with a log fire in the winter. They serve a good cup of coffee and prices are about average.
Where to begin... rooms are tiny, cold, dated and basically windowless, except for the one small window with a light outside it that will not turn off. Can hear my neighbours talking and using the bathroom. Wi-Fi in rooms non existent, staff frankly don't care. Bedrooms are a walk away from reception which is concealed in amongst a weird holiday-home cabin development without any decent signage. More like a no-frills motel than a spa hotel. I will not stay here again.
Edit to add that the non-caring-about-wifi-staff are otherwise lovely and the food in clubhouse is delicious. Gym is well equipped, if you like cardio.
Summary - visit for a meal, maybe even become a member, but don't bother staying here.
My home club. Recent improvements, more rough, greens in great shape, have improved it no end, decent test of golf. Bunkers still leave a lot to be desired, only real negative about the course. Relaxed and friendly which is a huge plus.
Course in v good condition. Very expensive in the bar
I stayed one night in this hotel during December for a work trip and was so relieved to leave. The room, if you can call it that was basically a dirty little box room which didn't retain heat... So in winter, with snow outside I was freezing and barely slept. Given the price it was a rip off! The only positive was free breakfast (although there was little choice). I would never stay here again!
