After a lot of research, I shortlisted SBS - UOW for comparatively affordable costs and quality education. I have applied for Master of Science (Logistics & Project Management) and yet to receive the offer letter, I will be having 2 years of experience in IT industry before joining this school in Trimester 3, 2016. But before may I know how's the job prospects in Australia or any other nation after completing the above mentioned course from SBS (considering only prior experience in IT but not in Logistics or Project Management)

If you get your PhD from this ridiculous institution just be aware that it will have no credibility, as a doctorate from the shonky university that awarded one to anti-vaxer Wilyman, makes your PhD worth less than a PhD from anywhere else in the country. Haha, save your time and money and go to a Sandstone University.

Loved UOW, I am about to graduate from a commerce degree and the uni is so clean, modern and the lecturers are very helpful especially during stressful exam periods. You'll love the relaxed vibe of it because it is not so busy and in the middle of CBD.

A pretty good uni. Although they can really give students some help with directions of building 19...
And also the dormitory's wall's noise cancelling is horrible. I live in the iHouse and I get waken up by people cooking in the kitchen EVERYDAY for AT LEAST ONCE between 1~3 am.
And also the dorm's internet service is absolutely TERRIBLE - very low bandwidth (I usually only get 67 kb/s with the highest record of 124 kb/s) and very expensive ($30 for 25G... seriously? even Telstra is cheaper!) considering the rent at the dorm is already unreasonably high.
And also my lecturers never/seldom interact with international students which kinda bothers me...
And one of them judges students by whether they use Macs and iPhones (although pretty sure he's joking for most of the times)
And the signal of Freedom@UOW on the top floor of the library is also horrible...
And this might seem racist but I've been verbally abused by Muslim students (judging on their way cloths and/or burka) twice on campus for not-being-a-Muslim
And lack of support for LGBTQ students.

But nevertheless, great uni, great staffs & great environments. And I love the uni's cinema!

Great University. I've been to a few tertiary institutes, this trumps them all in terms of atmosphere and the quality of the education. As a relatively new university, I expect UoW to grow greatly in ranking over the next few years.

TRUST ME! Never go to this University if you wanna graduate from here. They will try every single way to fail you just because they need your money.
Don't you see the new buildings that were built in the campus. They are NOT for your lectures and study. They are just like business men who run a company. They invested your tuition to make more profits. If you wanna invest some in it, then study at this uni. If you study ICT or CS in UOW, I can promise you that the subject materials in this University are totally USELESS! The professors use materials from other uni to teach you, almost all lecture notes are created based on the Google search.
If you can learn those by searching materials on Google, why would you need to study at UOW. Furthermore, The assignments are extremely hard for you to accomplish if you don't have any programming background. They teach you programming like you have already known it. They tried their best to teach you as less ass possible on lectures but the assignments require more than you learnt from lectures.

I have done Bachelors in Business Sciences (Accounting & Finance) and am very interested to learn about Business Information Systems, ERP Softwares, their implementation in business environment, maintaining, expanding these systems.

Hence I got interest in UOW's Masters in Information Technology since it says it a program for students with any background. I need to know would I be at some serious disadvantage for not being of an IT background?

Or there would be too much programming involved in it?

The University of Wollongong is a tremendous place of learning. I've only been here a couple of weeks, and already I feel what everybody has been saying for years -- it's one of the best universities in the country, and possibly the world. With a huge variety of courses to choose from, you're sure to find something that suits you. I can't recommend the University of Wollongong enough. Five stars out of five.

This is not an educational institute, just a business company that failed students just to get more money. I had to waste $28000 for fees just in 6 months. Too much costly study but donot give value to the education, money is a matter for this university. I can t describe in some words that how I had to sacrifice with mental and financial torture. Some day, I was broken that much that I felt low confident, because after lot of hardwork and study, this uni failed me 2 times. And again forced me to enrol again for more money. Please guys never get erolled in this business company.

I have been supporting University of Wollongong over the past few years on engineering simulation and how to extend the capability in the betterment of society. I must agree the facility that has been created within the uni is second to none. It has sophisticated robotic cells, well equipped manufacturing facility, well established laboratories all within the campus. The executive team is well aware of the current needs of the industry and are not leaving any stone un-turned . All the best.

Greedy institution. It all comes down to money with this university. Excessive fees, mismanagement of one's privacy by incompetent staff members and a terrible administration that can never have anything done correctly and on time. Very disappointing!

Honestly love the place, but reception is pretty ordinary. Vodafone carries through most of the place, telstra everywhere, but most carriers have it rough. I'm testing amaysim tomorrow.

Unfourtunately, I did not have a great experience at UOW. Although I had some great lecturers during my time, a number of academics and most of my tutors were quite unprofessional. They lacked interest, experience and education. The tutorials did not have a proper structure and it felt like we were doing nothing most times.
It is also not a great University to go to if you are from overseas, My friend and I experienced racism towards us, whcih is is unacceptable.
I strongly regret attending this University. However, I hope that things have imporved at UOW.

This school does not wish for their students to graduate. All the 1* reviews are more genuine than the 5* ones, since the 5* ones offer nothing but a mere generic statement saying how great the school is compared to any other school.

I was a student here 4 years ago, and the teachers did nothing but create problems for me. I knew what I was doing. I was an international student but I had a solid English background. However, the teachers constantly oppressed the student, ensuring that they do not score above 70%. It's almost a trend throughout the school, and the vast majority of students acknowledge this. Furthermore, when you ask the teachers to give you a reason for his/her unreasonable grading, he/she will just get mad and give you some bad reason such as "the whole essay is wrong", or "the formatting is entirely wrong".

I got suspended 1 week before final exams and my apparent graduation. I am an International student. I lost my money, I lost my MASTERS DEGREE, I lost everything because bunch of 50 year olds decided that I can't help with assignmets to some one else. THEN AFTER SUSPENSION THEY CANCELLED COURSE MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO EVEN RE-ATTEND IT! You are definetely now welcoming international students. I think SMH and some local newspaper gonna love the story. I will call every name, I remembered everyone from every comitee meeting. I also will prevent as much students as possible to even think about visiting this uni. The only good about uni is some teachers, but administration and top managment - they must be put to name and shame, and I will do everything that in my strenght. REMEMBER, 1 WEEK BEFORE FINALS AND APPARENT GRADUATION! SUSPENDED!! TOP SCORE STUDENT!!! WITHOUT ANY VALID EVIDENCE. You will not treat any international student like that after some good news stories, trust me.

Founded in 1951, University of Wollongong is a public research university located in the coastal city of Wollongong. Nice and clean surrounding....... building structures and facilities are also good....... helpful staff and professors. Tuition fee is also moderate for international students as compared to other good universities in Australia. Huge campus and very close to North Wollongong Station. University buses also run to and fro from station to university at no cost..... no doubt one of the best university in Australia
