Great little place for the family, perfect for affordable lessons.
Great little place for the family, perfect for affordable lessons.
Love this for family skiing. Affordable and friendly, great instructors, warm/rustic lodge. Second year for our season passes, excited for the snow!
Great little ski area, fun family affordable place for kids to learn. Have been going there for over 40 years. Stays the same.
Great little ski place. Nothing fancy, like the big guys, but for a fun day with the family, or to learn how to ski - great place. Very affordable, friendly staff too!
Had Dinner at Grouse Houes .Very good food, Bartender was great.
I love Otis Ridge. It's a great place for young kids to ski!
Really great local mountain always have a good time.
This place hits a sweet spot for what it intends to achieve- an inexpensive, accessible spot where kids and novice skiers can build technique and confidence. My kids have attended weekly winter classes for the last 2 years, and I can certainly appreciate how far they've come along. Super rustic, family owned. Dont expect much in amenities. Staff is attentive and in tune with needs of the younger demographic.
It's amazing. Especially for kids. Snow is consistently great.
Wonderful family friendly ski area. We love this place
First time skiing with my family. Lessons were terrific. Staff was friendly. A lot of fun. We will be back soon.
Love the garden shop! And Jaime was so sweet and helpful
More of a large hill than a mountain. Good for beginners. Facilities and equipment looks likes it hasn't been updated in 50 years. Price was ok, but still not "cheap."
Awesome little mountain excellent beginner mountain
Ski camp was always fun growing up, weekends with old friends, camp fires, and snowboarding. The camp itself is old but we never seemed to mind, we were too busy having fun. The lessons are top notch and kept everyone progressing, and we always had great skiing morning through night. Great location only 15 miles off the mass turnpike exit 2, about 2.5 hours from boston and nyc. A great place for kids to escape the city and learn to ski or board.
Great little ski area. Perfect place to learn to ski in a non intimidating environment.
You can't go wrong skiing at the Ridge! Otis Ridge has great terrain for all abilities of skiers & has a much wider variety of runs than one would expect!
A glance at the modest trail map shows only the basic terrain offerings on the mountain. What isn't shown is most of Otis Ridge's more difficult terrain including the double chair lift line, the abandoned j-bar lift line, & the lower part of "John's Cliff". Another feature that isn't shown is the many glades hidden all across the mountain. The largest glade is in the woods to the east of the double & has a good pitch as well as some decent cliffs. Other gladed areas are located off of almost every trail.
The novice skier will instantly be at home at Otis Ridge with two separate novice areas as well as the long "Acorn" trail from the summit. Intermediates will enjoy the wide "Bob's Bowl" as well as trails such as "Robber Oak", "Knox", and "Dutchman" which is narrow with many banked turns. Expert skiers will find a wide variety of offerings in the glades, off map trails, & runs such as the wide "Slalom", the classic New England cruiser "Ridge Run", & the rough, ungroomed "John's Cliff".
Otis Ridge has a very laid-back casual atmosphere in both the lodge & on the mountain. The two level lodge has large windows facing the slope and a wood stove in the middle to warm up by. The ski shop & rentals are located in a building right next to the lodge. On-mountain food can be found at the cafeteria in the base lodge as well as at the Grouse House which is located in the base area at the end of the "Acorn" trail.
I highly recommend Otis Ridge to anyone looking for a great day of skiing at a great price (check Liftopia for even cheaper tickets)!
Great, low key place to learn to ski for kids and adults. Friendly staff!
Calibrate expectations and enjoy the conditions, friendly staff, low price and easy to reach location. Totally stress free!
Not a huge mountain but good small runs well groomed and close by. Great family atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Tiny little family ski area. No crowds and it's inexpensive. Its just TINY.
This is a wonderful, affordable, family friendly place.
Really nice! No line for the lift and everyone is friendly. Perfect resort for family.
This place is very good especially for beginners. It has a small hill with separate lift for beginners. It also has a much bigger hill. Once on it you can either go on a longer easier slope, go on a shorter harder one and so on. In all I really liked it. Also it has a VERY friendly staff. Like when I almost fell of the lift they stoped it and helped me back on.
This is a great place to learn to ski or snowboard. The mountain is small but it has a wide range of terrain to challenge any skill level. There is well established ski school with good options for lesson packages. Otis Ridge is very family friendly and I have no worries allowing my kids the freedom to ride without me.
Fun for families and beginners. Super chill; friendly staff.
Cheap and steep!!!!
Wonderful place for children of all ages. Great place for anyone learning to experts.
They even have night skiing which is hard to find around here.
Otis Ridge is a great local ski area, I ve been skiing here for over 10 years and even though I live in Vermont still make sure to visit every season. Otis has a classic feel to the area, and still has a T-Bar! The trails offer a good mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiing. In addition they have 2 options the Grouse House Restaurant and the cafeteria. I highly recommend visiting, plus it s very affordable with $20 mid-week skiing.
Otis Ridge is a good value skiing seems to be pretty good my son goes snowboarding never too crowded buildings is old but staff is friendly
Great place to ski for beginners . Smaller hill. Inexpensive ticket prices friendly staff. Basic fast food menu.
Otis Ridge is an accessible, family friendly ski resort. I can t say good enough things about the ski camp for kids. After only a few lessons, my five-year-old daughter went from hardly been able to stand up to going down to run by herself. There is always a high ratio of instructors to kids and everyone is as friendly and helpful as can be. Did I mention it s way less expensive than other ski schools in the area? We drive an extra 20 minutes just to come here. Two thumbs way up.
Great little place, perfect for night-skiing for cheap rates. Lift guys are nice and patient with kids. Rental guy is kind of a jerk but I am sure he has his reasons. Will continue to visit as long as the snow flows.
Good for the price but not much better than that. You get what you pay for.
Love this place! Great people! Love that the kids can't get lost.
Not crowded, great prices, family oriented. Waits for lift look long but go fast
Great family skiing. The staff is very helpful to the new skiers in my family.
Love it up there. Helpful staff, and not too crowded.
This is where I learned to ski back in the 1970s as a little boy. My son also learned to ski there. It is a small ski area, that is perfect for learning to ski, and also ski for fun! If you want to make great memories, go here!
Great place for the family. Not the tallest nor longest but great fun for everyone. 10/10
Family friendly, not for ski snobs this is about having fun and learning. The lessons program is well run and affordable along with full outfitting in the ski shop rental ,you won't have to struggle with gear and racks.
If you want to show off your outfits or obnoxious skistyle ,PLEASE,go to another bigger ,well known mountain .Otis Ridge is quiet, affordable, well run, well groomed, some of us just want to ski and that's where we go.
Good customer service but bad/hazardous trails conditions. Only 1 chairlift, and 1 T bar lift. Warm weather may be part to blame, but multiple parts on the trail are icy and melted with water. No fence/net protection even for green trail and there are big stones/rocks along the trails. Hazardous conditions are likely cause injury if people fall.
I'm still teaching myself and this is definitely the place for all levels. The French fries are really good too. Lol
This is a great place for families. The staff are patient with kids and careful about safety on the pony lift. Our instructor, Jon was very patient with us.
Cozy family ski area. Everyone knows everyone. Great for folks starting out to ski.
Great place for beginners to learn and great value too!
