This place hits a sweet spot for what it intends to achieve- an inexpensive, accessible spot where kids and novice skiers can build technique and confidence. My kids have attended weekly winter classes for the last 2 years, and I can certainly appreciate how far they've come along. Super rustic, family owned. Dont expect much in amenities. Staff is attentive and in tune with needs of the younger demographic.

Ski camp was always fun growing up, weekends with old friends, camp fires, and snowboarding. The camp itself is old but we never seemed to mind, we were too busy having fun. The lessons are top notch and kept everyone progressing, and we always had great skiing morning through night. Great location only 15 miles off the mass turnpike exit 2, about 2.5 hours from boston and nyc. A great place for kids to escape the city and learn to ski or board.

You can't go wrong skiing at the Ridge! Otis Ridge has great terrain for all abilities of skiers & has a much wider variety of runs than one would expect!

A glance at the modest trail map shows only the basic terrain offerings on the mountain. What isn't shown is most of Otis Ridge's more difficult terrain including the double chair lift line, the abandoned j-bar lift line, & the lower part of "John's Cliff". Another feature that isn't shown is the many glades hidden all across the mountain. The largest glade is in the woods to the east of the double & has a good pitch as well as some decent cliffs. Other gladed areas are located off of almost every trail.

The novice skier will instantly be at home at Otis Ridge with two separate novice areas as well as the long "Acorn" trail from the summit. Intermediates will enjoy the wide "Bob's Bowl" as well as trails such as "Robber Oak", "Knox", and "Dutchman" which is narrow with many banked turns. Expert skiers will find a wide variety of offerings in the glades, off map trails, & runs such as the wide "Slalom", the classic New England cruiser "Ridge Run", & the rough, ungroomed "John's Cliff".

Otis Ridge has a very laid-back casual atmosphere in both the lodge & on the mountain. The two level lodge has large windows facing the slope and a wood stove in the middle to warm up by. The ski shop & rentals are located in a building right next to the lodge. On-mountain food can be found at the cafeteria in the base lodge as well as at the Grouse House which is located in the base area at the end of the "Acorn" trail.

I highly recommend Otis Ridge to anyone looking for a great day of skiing at a great price (check Liftopia for even cheaper tickets)!

This place is very good especially for beginners. It has a small hill with separate lift for beginners. It also has a much bigger hill. Once on it you can either go on a longer easier slope, go on a shorter harder one and so on. In all I really liked it. Also it has a VERY friendly staff. Like when I almost fell of the lift they stoped it and helped me back on.

This is a great place to learn to ski or snowboard. The mountain is small but it has a wide range of terrain to challenge any skill level. There is well established ski school with good options for lesson packages. Otis Ridge is very family friendly and I have no worries allowing my kids the freedom to ride without me.

Otis Ridge is a great local ski area, I ve been skiing here for over 10 years and even though I live in Vermont still make sure to visit every season. Otis has a classic feel to the area, and still has a T-Bar! The trails offer a good mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiing. In addition they have 2 options the Grouse House Restaurant and the cafeteria. I highly recommend visiting, plus it s very affordable with $20 mid-week skiing.

Otis Ridge is an accessible, family friendly ski resort. I can t say good enough things about the ski camp for kids. After only a few lessons, my five-year-old daughter went from hardly been able to stand up to going down to run by herself. There is always a high ratio of instructors to kids and everyone is as friendly and helpful as can be. Did I mention it s way less expensive than other ski schools in the area? We drive an extra 20 minutes just to come here. Two thumbs way up.

Great little place, perfect for night-skiing for cheap rates. Lift guys are nice and patient with kids. Rental guy is kind of a jerk but I am sure he has his reasons. Will continue to visit as long as the snow flows.

This is where I learned to ski back in the 1970s as a little boy. My son also learned to ski there. It is a small ski area, that is perfect for learning to ski, and also ski for fun! If you want to make great memories, go here!

Family friendly, not for ski snobs this is about having fun and learning. The lessons program is well run and affordable along with full outfitting in the ski shop rental ,you won't have to struggle with gear and racks.
If you want to show off your outfits or obnoxious skistyle ,PLEASE,go to another bigger ,well known mountain .Otis Ridge is quiet, affordable, well run, well groomed, some of us just want to ski and that's where we go.

Good customer service but bad/hazardous trails conditions. Only 1 chairlift, and 1 T bar lift. Warm weather may be part to blame, but multiple parts on the trail are icy and melted with water. No fence/net protection even for green trail and there are big stones/rocks along the trails. Hazardous conditions are likely cause injury if people fall.
