I don't know what happened, but they either sold again or got a new cook. Yakisoba was awful and all onions maybe 3 carrots and 2 pieces of broccoli. The meat wasn't even mixed in like usual. I ordered the Cucumber special roll, got the regular one. The gal who took my order must be new too, she couldn't wait to get off the phone while taking my order. No more, bye bye Oshima.

First time having sushi at this place as we are doing errands in the area. It was very delicious, the service is quick and friendly. The amount of rice in the roll is on point, nice plating and the food is fresh and decent at a good price. We are very satisfied and will come back.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the sushi here!! Best sushi I ever tasted, and the workers are always nice and respectful plus the service is always really fast! 20 min wait time MAX but that s never happened to me. My sushi is usually ready within 10-15 minutes.
We love the food at Oshima. We do a lot of takeout but dining in this is wonderful as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the wonderful selection of rolls, but we do eat the bento box is quite often it's the best value around. I can highly recommend each and every one of them. My personal favorite the salmon is always spot-on.
Great friendly service, delicious fresh sushi, non-pretentious atmosphere... it's all great! My faves are the Monster Roll (omg, I could eat this for every meal), the Shrimp Crunch Roll, and the Philly Ya (which is currently on special). They are following full Covid restrictions for masking and social distancing.
Loved it and it close. The chef was very thoughtful of me not have tea. That goes a long ways for me. Just because I do not drink alcohol does not mean I would like my drink cup entry.
Restaurant is not up to date on latest covid regulation with respect to max capacity. Food quality dropped significantly since covid. I shouldn t be served stale food because customer traffic is reduced due to covid. Explicitly asked for fresh made sushi and was served stale. When I asked waitress she tried to justify and explained that it was fresh made but became cold and stale by the time she served it - didnt make sense. Second attempt was clearly more fresh but tasted weird. Not to mention the attitude we received for the rest of our time there. Have been a regular customer there but will definitely be my last time there.
The Miso soup that came with my meal was fantastic and the green tea I ordered was spot-on. The gyoza was really well-made also, although the dip with it was kind of lacking in flavor. The entire meal was relatively cheap compared to most sit down restaurants, which was nice. The interior was nice and the wait staff was friendly as well. I was also pleasantly surprised that they provided chopsticks without me having to ask.
As for the negative aspects, the sushi menu has two parts, standard a la carte sushi and premium sushi. The premium sushi has the ingredients listed under it but the a la carte sushi does not. The sushi is named using common nomenclature so I ordered something I have always liked. However this role did not come the standard way I was accustomed and included ingredients I personally do not care for at all. it happened to be an order my friend shared and he did not mind having more so we did not have to waste the sushi, but I felt bad. Not only that, but despite dictating we would like separate checks, and being two separate people, they put two different orders of the same sushi on the same plate. When we mentioned this, they did not offer any reasonable alternatives (like providing an extra plate) but instead seemed like they did not know what to do. My beef yakisoba, despite having big juicy pieces of steak, tasted otherwise bland as well.
All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I think I'd be better suited to spending my money elsewhere.
Good sushi. Not the greatest I've had, but very good for such a casual setting. I got the sushi combo A (rainbow roll + 8pc chefs choice nigiri). Rainbow roll was a little heavy on the cream cheese for my taste, but that's my biggest complaint about the whole dinner. The ono was great. Fast, friendly service. Good ambiance. Casual, but not loud. Will definitely be coming back.
This is hands down one of the best sushi places in the area. Service is always great and fast. Food comes out fast and delicious every time. LOVE LOVEEE!! The monkey balls app is one of my favorites and I've never had a roll that I didn't like. If you like sushi you'll love this place.
Looking for a good sushi place? Look no further! Awesome rolls and friendly staff. Asked them to customize a roll and they had no problems with it. You would be surprised how many places around here will tell you they can t add crab on top of a Cali roll...The scallop & lobster roll are amazing.
AMAZING food, super quick service and reasonable prices. My new favorite place. Only problem I had there was that the wait staff tended to hover over your shoulder and urge you out as quickly as possible. Even though it was no where near closing at all, and my party had only been there ten minutes or so.
It was the best restaurant, but now it is the worst restaurant. The food is no longer fresh . It's been my favorite restaurant for a while, but I'm not going to go to this restaurant again
This place was FANTASTIC. The wait staff was attentive, the sushi was fresh and well put-together (the yellowtail and salmon nigiri in particularly heavenly - so buttery and delightful.). We will definitely be making this our regular sushi spot!
Really great and decent priced sushi. The other food is just as amazing. I even had my birthday party here in January. This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in town.
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The servers were so great here! I couldn't believe how delicious and fresh the sushi was. Usually every sushi is just filled with California roll which is cheap and not so great. These guys make real sushi at a good price. I will be back for sure!
So we love this place... It is our #1 go to sushi in Everett... Prices are good.. doesn't break the bank. Everything is always fresh. Friendly staff...
Nice atmosphere, the most attentive person was the young man with braids. Sushi was inconsistent in structure, the Mercedes roll (back) was the right size to eat easily but fell apart as soon as you touched it, the las vegas (front) was huge to where one piece had to be taken in 3 bites making for a messy experience, the flavors were average, plate presentation was very nice, but for all of that I say it was over priced. Probably won't come back to this one.
Tasty local sushi place! When I came here, I wasn't expecting sushi that was amazing, but I ended up leaving feeling very satisfied. There are a lot of good sushi places down in Seattle, but Everett? This place is probably one of the best up north.
The service was courteous and they seated us very quickly. The place is fairly small and everything seems homemade.
This place never disappoints, I just love it. Sushi combo D & Mixed tempura is my go to. But you HAVE to get the sashimi salad w/ 1/2 salad & 1/2 rice.
Delicious sushi, tasty variety, decent prices. All around, pretty good. We had to drive for half an hour before we got to eat it, probably would have been better fresh, but that s on us. Always a favorite sushi place in Everett!
Absolutely in love with the sushi @ this restaurant. It s a little whole in the wall but it s inexpensive with great food and very helpful and friendly service every time. Family friendly as well!
So many amazing things to choose from. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. Will definitely be a regular here. Friendly staff and knowledgeable about the menu and choices.
This place was amazing the food was fantastic the price is more than reasonable for the amount of food you get the staff were all amazingly friendly and even had a great conversation with another customer at the bar truly a great experience I can't wait to go back to try something or other dishes I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some good sushi and friendly staff
Sushi was good, the servers were ok. Unfortunately the lady who took my payment was very unprofessional. I paid for my meal and I grabbed my card and she said "wait" and just took my card out of my card and slid my card for the second time. I asked her "did you just charge my card again?" And she responded with a no. I am looking at my statement I have 3 chargers from the restaurant. She must of slid my card two times before I noticed. Never going back.
First time being here. WOW it was so much better than expected. Very friendly and helpful staff, modestly priced for how much food you get and the quality of it. Definitely will be back.
