Edgewater Systems. Review

The worse service imaginable. The front desk staff make me so upset I literally have anxiety attacks by the time I see the therapist. If it weren't for my wonderful therapist I would not come to this place ever again, but my therapist is the best. The state really needs to oversee the employees here. I'm going to school for healthcare and studied medical law and ethics, there are so many things wrong here. I'm probably about to lose my therapist because today is going to be my last day coming to this facility.

I have gone there for 5years
..The head ppl are very unprofessional and unethical and will not help you if you report them .. They will retaliate and When you complain again to next in charge Mr William's he will not follow up with you on the matter although..He will tell you he will call you back and he never will I've been waiting over to months about a matter
.You ask to complain to CEO that block that... Stay way best advice..

This facility Work for me. And I don't see how if it work for me it can t work for anyone else. People don't like to follow rules especially as adults but this place will give you the tools to mentally reset your mind and body. If you are coming in thinking you can just legally get high your problems are with you not the staff.

The therapist I was seeing here was wonderful and I felt like I was making real progress. Then they told me because of insurance policies or something they had to assign me a different one. The psychiatrist never listened to a word I said. And contradicted herself constantly. Once they told me I couldn't continue with the same therapist, I stopped going. I went to Northshore to get my antidepressants refilled and I'm holding out until after open enrollment at my job to go somewhere else or continue with Northshore

The admin's mean-spirited & not cooperative with those she's expected to HELP, as a social worker, which she's presumed, or SUPPOSED, to be.

I am a very mentally unstable person who needs my medication in order to function in society. I need a therapist in order to get all of my meds. I met my therapist one time and he moved jobs. They assigned me a new one, we made an appointment over a month ago. The day before every appointment, Edgewater has called to reschedule. FOUR TIMES THEY HAVE RESCHEDULED. I haven't even met this therapist and he's been assigned to me for over a month. I just stopped answering My phone. Waste of time. My medication is crucial, and im not even supposed to be in normal society without it. It is life or death. Literally. Without my meds, I am supposed to go to the state hospital for the safety of myself and others. I'm actually trying to make myself better, and these people are wasting my time!! What does it take for them to do their jobs???

We were referred to this place by our child's physician. I wouldn't trust this place with my sock. Most unorganized and unprofessional place I have ever been to. The Therapist that was supposed to see our child was a tad loopy or high on something, never looked me in the eye and was under the impression that I was the patient. She proceeded to ask us why we were there and what our child's name was. Asked us if she had done the intake. Had no chart in tow. She had a laptop that was opened but not turned on. Seemed as if She was picked up off from the streets and asked to play doctor. How SAD that parents trust these people with their children's well being. We were given another appointment to meet with a psychiatrist. We took our child for the 3rd time, which was the last time yesterday. No one knew what we were ther for. The person we were supposed to see was unable to be located. Then they were upset stating that we were late. WE WERE THERE 20 MINUTES BEFORE our appointment. This place needs to be shut down and or investigated. Parents rely on these professionals to help their kids not screw them up more. How can the director even be proud of this dump?! I left this place more confused than when I walked in. I care about my child enough to know that this place is NOT for her.

Biggest rip-off in the whole State!!!!!! Staff are like robots. Can't believe these people are certified to work in this field! Everyone there seems that they can't wait till quitting time. But there are also those who just smoke and joke like children just having a "good time," while clients wait for HOURS to see their staff....doctors included. Summary: over paid and under worked. You're better off finding someplace in Illinois!!!!
