This place is a regular for me to visit. I even got married here. The views of the forth and the rail bridge are amazing and the staff are very friendly. This place can be busy at peaks times due to it's popularity but the staff can be very helpful and accommodating. The food is very good and they also offer a kids menu with activities and crayons. There is free wifi available too.

I've eaten both lunch and dinner in Samphire restaurant in Orocco Pier, and the food was fabulous, and offered exceptional value for money. The staff were very attentive, and looked after us very well on each occasion.

The views over the River Forth are amazing, and such a fabulous photo-spot. Can't wait to go back on a warm sunny day to enjoy sitting outdoors on the decking, taking in the spectacular view.

It's a beautiful hotel, with great attention to detail. Please go visit them.....you won't regret it, I promise you! Enjoy.

Stopped off for breakfast here and I really could not find fault with it. It is a lovely place with beautiful views - especially if you are lucky enough to get a window seat. Service was extremely slow, however but they were very polite and attentive. The tables for two are tiny and there really isn't enough room for everything on your table. A busy little place, but quite nice for a visit.

Love orocco pier, the restaurant. I can't vouch for the hotel, but the restaurant is easily one of my favourites in the Edinburgh region. South Queensferry is a gorgeous location and decor and food of the restaurant simply amazing. The service has never been bad each time I have visited either. Highly rate this place. And my family, friends and girlfriend have all been impressed each visit. You certainly get what you pay for here. And will definitely be back again soon.

Professional in the rather impersonal sense of the word but effective and good enough value if ur not on a tight budget. I love it because it suits me! They treat cyclists ok. Very busy on holidays.

Stayed here for my cousin's wedding. Lovely choice of cocktails and gin and the food was delicious. Would have given more stars, but it was quite expensive and as an ale drinker, I was very dissapointed - they only had one and it hadn't been stored well.

Excellent stay .... flawless !!

Excellent stay .... flawless !!
Recently stayed here whilst in the area on business and can only say this is an absolute gem of a hotel !! Reception staff were polite & helpful on arrival - even taking the time to show me to my room & giving me a run-down on the room, the hotel, the restaurant and the locality.
The room itself was modern, well finished & very comfortable - large flat screen TV with DVD player & a free-to-use DVD library at reception. Bathroom was crisp & clean with a large walk-in shower and a nice selection of Molton Brown toiletries that you could actually use & enjoy the scent of - unlike some hotel complimentaries :(
Another reviewer mentioned bed being too short & not clean ......well,my experience couldn't have been further from that - I'm 6"1 and had no issues + bed was immaculate with fresh & neatly pressed sheets.
I didn't dine in the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant or food but I did have a couple of pints of Peroni sitting on their outside patio watching the sun disappear whilst looking out over the Forth Estuary onto the grand old lady that is the Forth Rail Bridge ..... simply spectacular !
I am in the area approx every 2 months on business and have previously stayed in various other hotels around Queensferry ...... this one is the best by far - I shall return !!

We were in the Antico. Is right next door and belongs to the Orocco Pier. It's a restaurant / bar. There are burgers and various dishes. A large selection of ales and cocktails. Service was friendly and quick. Recommendation was a burger where the meat was pickled in Guinness ... super delicious. The only drawback was the volume. The view of the Forth Bridge brought that out again.

Nice atmosphere in Samphire restaurant, great selection and quality of food. Only criticism is the quality of service and food deteriates during peak times. However much nicer and more relaxed experience when quiet. Great overall tho.

Hmmmm. So I can't comment on the food or accommodation, so take that for what you will. I can comment on the bar, service, location and decor though. First of all, the location. Wow. You have stunning views out onto the Firth of Forth and the Forth Rail Bridge through the large glass windows on the North facing side of the bar. I visited while the sun set on a spring evening and it was spectacular. This alone makes it a place with visiting if you fancy taking in the view in the warmth with a glass of 'something' in your hands. The decor inside is very modern and upmarket, so it definitely feels more like a bar in Edinburgh's expensive George Street rather than South Queensferry and the staff seemed friendly and attentive. Orocco Pier is also a popular wedding venue due to the views and location which tells you a lot about how impressive it is. If you fancy a tipple with the most impressive views of the Forth from any bar in the Lothian's or Fife this is your place.

A locals hotel that was perfect for us tourists! Not disappointed in the stay at all. A wonderful view of the bridges and a nice relaxing day walking around the town! A perfect location. A close ride to the airport. Only disappointment was we had to leave! Staff was wonderful and helped to bring our two suitcases to the room. Do the upgrade for the bridge view -- well worth the price. The cafe's are top notch. Also, local lunch places nearby. My wife and I enjoyed our Scotland wind down prior to heading back to the USA. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal there in February 2020, got a great table and the six nations was on. So can't beat that.
All our meals were good, sea bass, Thai curry, scampi and pie. We would go back again and what a great view and atmosphere.
It was busy and even with that felt the tables had good space.
I don't think you could go wrong with anything on their menu.

Sunday brunch. Very good service, great venue and really nice views across the forth. I had full scottish breakfast, which was good but the coffee and OJ could be a little better quality. All round great place for a relaxed morning.
