I was here for Jury duty. The workers are really helpful and friendly, but the building is horrible! The bathroom was virtually unusable, flooring and walls crumbling, and the elevator..worries me.

This office is the epitome of New Orleans in action people sitting arm to arm incompetence at its finest room full of people and it takes them much much too long to process documents these people need to get a real job.

It was 2:00 and we had to travel from Lafayette to NOLA in order to get to the New Orleans CDC before 5:00 p.m. to file a petition. We had to call several different times to get different types of information. One would assume we might have begun to annoy the civil department; however, that was not the case at all. Miss Jones, Chanel and Thomas in the Intake Dept. were so courteous, patient, and very helpful. With their assistance, we were able to file our petition just in the nick of time, at 4:56 p.m.!! You hear rumors of state employees always having an attitude, but not them. They deserve some kind of recognition, because you really don't get that level of customer service anymore!

The security point staff is totally uneducated about First Amandment right to film in public buildings. They behave unprofessionally and readily violate civil rights under Section 1983. They need to be reprimanded and properly trained.

One sided, Sexist, and inhumane. No matter what the mother does they will try to keep the kids in their custody. Men are not given a fair shot, and that might seem ok to you until its your brother, uncle, or son. Contempts are like candy here. File them, they cost you money and then they don't enforce them. They will continue to push your case back all to give the other party time to show they will do better, and even if they dont they still will maintain domiciliary custody. A bunch of mothers who refuse to give their children's father's their right to spend time with their children, getting pat on the back for it. If these cases were televised i guarantee you they would end differently.

Great people work here. It is far more efficient than any other New Orleans public facility I have been to. There are lots of people working in each dept. who are willing to help answer your questions and help you navigate through whatever legal process brings you there.
