My wife developed an inner ear infection during our vacation in the Orkneys. We went to A&E at Balfour's and were SO impressed and grateful for their excellent attention, us being foreigners and all. Thank you especially, Dr. Watson, for salvaging our vacation!
5 years ago I was treated there for a bad injury after I had an accident at sea. Can't fault the treatment I received. God bless all of the staff.

The staff here are brilliant, they have really been spot on with care and efficiency, quick with booking appointments, no running late or cancellations, they have been with me every step of the way.
The hospital hasn t long been open and as you would expect, it s bright, spacious and extremely clean, car park could have done with being bigger..... that would be more for future planning due to population growth rather than for immediate need.
They treat their non medical admin staff horribly. On a night shift the medical staff regularly order a Chinese for delivery and more often than not, leave the non medical admin staff out.
Very Hurtful Orkney medics!! Very hurtful.
