Best Chinese food around. Always tastes fresh and the honey sesame chicken is the best dish ever.

Nice food however never ever deliver on time. 2.5 hour wait on delivery!

Don t order very much, however the food was very good. The chow mein was great! Chicken was nice and tender, the fried rice was good and the curry sauce was the best I ve ever had!! Will definitely order again

Yet again, late! Absolutely abysmal delivery service. The girl on the phone was awful, no customer service to speak of. Couldnt work out 75 minutes from time of order and very argumentative. Very disinterested once they have your money. Food seems to get saltier every time. Used to be great. It's on an ever worsening downward slope. Avoid!

Wow, there cheesecake menu is amazing. Never had a chinese with proper cheesecakes! Curry was also beautiful

Really good food but I ve ordered for delivery 3 times this year and each time it s taken over 2hrs to arrive. I think it s time for a change after a longtime using this takeaway.

Amazing food and great service. The honey sesame chicken was great, and delivery was very fast. All arrived hot.

The food was gorgeous and as a party of three we had a mix of different food which was chow mein and crispy chicken curry, vegetarian spring rolls, prawn crackers and king prawn fried rice which defeated us. Have been many times and sampled different things and always excellent. Love the dishes here and so many can never get bored

Delicious food as always. Best Chinese place to go to! The shop is so clean and well presented as well. Chow mein's are our family favourites - delicious and full of flavour, lots of chicken and Roast pork in them too! One thing I got to say how this Chinese takeaway is so much different with these beautiful cheesecakes they do as well and how they treat their customers with freebies as well, becoming a regular customer, however sometimes when ordering delivery on a Friday it may take an hour, but is so worth the wait.

Delivered half an hour late with no apology, food was warm and bland, this used to be the best Chinese in stapleford but its sadly gone right down hill , we will be sticking with bobo in the future, much better and cheaper.

Do not order if you want a fast service - shocking, two hours late, restaurant blamed Just Eat, food not even worth the wait. I have also reviewed the restaurant on Just Eat & the restaurant has replied, however they claim that they called myself & the situation has been rectified, this has absolutely not happened, this is misleading to customers.

Late night takeaway order, food was delivered quickly, reasonably hot, quite tasty but the chicken a touch rubbery.

Very good food & excellent service. They Serve Excellent Chinese food. Their chicken and king prawns are very fresh & the kitchen looks very clean. Noodles was great, and tried the cheesecake and was surprisingly amazing!

Best Chinese in Notts! The menu is so varied, and now you can even get half portios of dishes which is great for when theres only a couple of you .Best for quality a couple of you .Best for quality , we've been going for years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Everything arrived hot and tasted fresh... egg fried rice was lovely...chicken chow mein was good too... will order again

We ordered our meal at 5.30 pm for 9.30 pm, when I finished work.
I received a text to say it would be late. I couldn't get through all night on the phone.
We were told at 10 pm the meal was on it's way , at 11 PM it still hadn't arrived, to be told it was on it's way was a complete fabrication.
The meal finally arrived at 11.30 pm. It was inedible.
We won't be ordering again.

Ordered from here numerous times, food is always incredible & delicious. Quick delivery, always before the time they say they'll deliver which is great. Staff are really really friendly and helpful, best customer service.

Absolutely disgusting service. Placed my order at just before 8pm last night, by half past 9 it still hadn't arrived, I called the restaurant to find out where our food was and originally was told they were just waiting for a driver, then after I continued to express my frustration, the original story was changed and I was then told that our food was just cooking as we spoke - this tells me they had forgotten about our order entirely and when I asked for a refund or at the very least some compensation, I was told they don't offer refunds. It finally arrived at 22:15 (2 hours and 15 minutes after order was placed and the delivery woman very nonchalantly apologised and said she'd make a note that I wasn't impressed! Now, has the food have been decent, I wouldn't have minded quite as much but I am afraid to say it wasn't - it was only luke warm, very rushed and bone dry! Safe to say, I shall never be ordering from this place again & I will shout from the rooftops to anyone that will listen and urge them never to use this awful place too!

UPDATE** Over a month and never did I receive a call from the manager, I then wrote to them on Facebook, for them to block me! Absolutely pathetic place! I hope you go under!

Me and my husband and friends ordered here on Saturday night. The food taste ok but the chicken either wasn t cooked properly or it s gone off. My husband and a friend had severe food poisoning, and they re still suffering from it now. I m not happy with this at all! And we will definitely won t be ordering from here again!

I think Oriental Chef is quite exceptional, food is always great and delicious, arriving piping Hot as usual and the service from everyone is super friendly. My go to Chinese takeaway every time by far. This place beats anyone in the area by miles!

We ordered new years eve it never turned up kept trying to phone was engaged all the time they finally phoned us around 10pm to see if we still wanted our order said no! We gave them another go tonight ordered at 17.40 to be delivered for 19.30 tthought that was plenty of notice turned up after 8 won't bother again!!

Very fast delivery and good service, we ordered on a friday night and came within 1 hour during the rush hour time so it was fine. There is quite a variety of choose to choose from. My favorite is egg fried rice and sweet & sour chicken. Kids enjoy the sweetcorn soup and prawn crackers. Delicious

Excellent selection of food for an excellent price. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. The staff are always happy to help and always put in 110% to help out for what dishes to choose! Definitely my no1 chinese to takeaway.

Nice food but struggled to park at 5pm on a weekend. Dry cleaner informed me that almost every car was a delivery driver... Did not feel welcome as a collecting customer and wouldn't return despite food being pretty good.

Also made it very difficult to collect my dry cleaning, unfortunately, so a negative effect on other businesses.

Service was quick and the food was good. The beef was of a particularly high standard and they threw in free prawn crackers.

The food was perfection! Everything was on point, the noodles were tasty and the prawn crackers were fresh and amazing. Great service as well.

Cracking food not one complaint. Salt and pepper prawns are wicked. I need to try the other dishes next time.

I don't have an issue with the food but we waited over 2 hours for our food before cancelling as we just couldn't wait anymore! Please don't take orders via Just Eat if you know it's going to be hours. Most people don't mind waiting an hour but 2 is too long. I didn't hear one sorry from staff when I rang to chase either just got told "Just Eat should have updated you" Come on guys, they don't cook the food do they.

I ordered food from here . 1 hour 45 minutes after I placed it I decided to ring to find out were it was . They said they was about to start cooking it . ( a joke right) . It turns up cold , chips are dried out and disgusting. Why I was recommended this I dont know , these reviews are shocking . I dont know how anyone got any decent service from here . I am absolutely disgusted with the service , food and overall experience .

Fantastic food the chow mein was really good and the curry sauce was superb. Great service and very clean takeaway. Love to see my food being cooked.

Food was stone cold.. When I'm oly 3 minutes away.. Also very oilly.
I asked for a dry chow mein no vegetables and it was the opposite.. I ordered sweet and sour chicken which didn't come with any rice.. as you have to find it and pay for that separately.. Which is. Misleading it should come with rice. Or tell you and have it easily available with the meal to order.
i didn't get any fortune cookies asked twice never came.

Absolutely beautiful. The food has Wonderfully developed flavours. Like the noodles is so flavourful and the chicken is very tender. The curry sauce is Amazing! Great takeaway for such exceptional value.

Great food at Oriental Chef, really high of quality, the chicken in black beans sauce with garlic is full of flavour, the egg fried rice is really good. The portion sizes are crazy big, as well as the prices are decent. Good service, quick delivery, no problems

They don't tell you the expected wait until after they've taken your money, it said 95mins wait but waited just over 2 hours had to call twice to see where our food was. Expecting it to be fab due to the wait..it was most definitely not...the food was cold, tasteless and like slop. The seaweed portion was tiny and so sweet it was in edible. Absolutely foul. Do not recommend.

The food at oriental Chef is always amazing. I can never fault their food, taste really fresh and the service is very good. I highly recommend the Crispy chicken in honey, it s ever so tasty!!!

the food was fairly average compared to our regular choice of Chinese takeaway. Only chose to order from this place as a third place option. Ours was closed being a Tuesday, and another didn't answer the phone. Very expensive too. Took well over an hour to arrive !! I'll order Chinese on another day next time.

So disappointed in the service. I ordered at 18:30 today and received confirmation from Just Eat saying my order would be with us at 19:40. I called at 19:50 and was informed by a very apologetic member of staff that my order was on its way More

Nothing can be faulted at Oriental Chef. I have been twice, once as a couple and another as a larger group. The food is delicious and reasonably priced all things considered. The staff are very helpful, Food comes fairly quickly, the duck is excellent with the soft pancakes and fresh veg provided, the chowmein is tasteful and one of the best. Also the desserts look as good as they taste, the cheesecake is so yummy!

Have ordered from Oriental Chef many times and each time the order has arrived on time and we love that you get free prawn crackers The large "House Special Rice, Mixed Meat + Egg fried rice" , "Duck with Pineapple", "Black Bean Sauce With Peppers, Beef " is perfect for a family, my favourite side dish is the "Sesame Prawn Toast" nice chunky toast . Amazing!!

Food takes over an hour to come .
Food is tasteless and only warm if not cold.
Dont get to choose what drink free they give you when you spend over a certain amount .

Came to collect, from ordering to picking up only took 15 minutes. COVID procedures in place seemed to be regulated and enforced in a comfortable and sensible manner.

Food was excellent and the service from the staff was lovely. Really friendly bunch of people! Prawn toast is amazing, curry dishes are beautiful and the meat is really good. Cheesecake at a Chinese? However, the cheesecakes were amazingly great and quality, biscoff and red velvet cake was perfection! Overall will come here again

Ordered delivery in stapleford took 2 hours 45 minutes to come rubbish customer service not be useing again . Ordered by wife normal answer by owner suppose to get a phone call still waiting 7.45 ordered delivered at 10.30 so shouldn't be a problem with a investigation as phone times don't lie and was told 85 mins to be delivered so answer that

So let's start from the top.. We called this restaurant on the phone and asked if it was possible to request a full tub of broccoli served on the side of our order. They kind lady on the phone asked the kitchen staff if this was possible for us and we was happy to know that they accepted the request. After we finished the call we had decided rather to ask for extra broccoli inside a dish instead and also requesting that no other vegetables be placed. And guess what arrived at our door.... EXACTLY WHAT WE HAD ASKED FOR!!! Thank you so much for accommodating our order. Also the food ARRIVED PIPING HOT. WR COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER SERVICE. Thank you to wok express WE WILL ORDER WITH YOU AGAIN SOON

The first time we ordered, delivery took 3 hours. Had an uber voucher so decided to try again, delivery took 2hr and 15 minutes, food cold so rejected. Wouldnt try again customer service isnt great and the delivery guy practically blamed us for him not being able to find us even though I had told him we were on Google maps!
