I would give zero stars if I could. This place does not understand the decisions they are making and they do not understand physician treatment and diagnosis in the slightest. Good luck dealing with these clowns. They are not on your side for getting healthy and back to work.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company has only one reason for existing: to force employees back to work against doctor's orders and whether or not one is capable of working.

They insist you have their 'attending physician statement' filled out that not only asks for information that no employer is entitled to according to Provincial and Federal statute, they completely ignore the forms anyway. Then they demand information that is private and confidential such as your doctor's notes from your visits and access to records from counsellors. If you refuse, they use bullying and blackmail tactics. 'Give us the information or we will tell your employer that the leave you are on is unsupported and that you are perfectly capable of returning to work forthwith.

They have no staff with any kind of a medical background. Instead they have 'experienced assessment' personnel who, as far as I can tell, are only capable of rejecting leave of absence claims.

And don't get me started about how severe mental health illness is treated as imaginary and not a reason for missing any work whatsoever. My dealings with these jerks only served to make my anxiety and depression worse because of their heavy, underhanded tactics.

If you're reading these reviews because you've hit OSI's brick walls, you have my sympathy. They are NOT there for you as an employee, they are only there for the companies that utilize them.

I would give 0 stars if I could. These people do not have any compassion or understanding for mental health. They denied my doctors request. My doctor explained how night shifts would cause psychosis but the company denied the request. They made me feel like my illness did not exist and that i couldnt prove any psycosis would happen. I wanted to cry when the lady "kathy" talked to me on the phone. In the end I DID end up with psychosis. I was doing great at my job, I don't understand why if I'm trying to make a slight adjustment to my job with a doctor's order that it can't be accepted. This was the deal breaker between me having a job and me getting hospitalized. People say those with mental illness should work and not sit at home getting disability money. Well I am at home on disability now because I am healing from a very traumatic hospitalization which took 4 months to stabilize from. So YES my disorder IS REAL Kathy. And as you described a person with diabetes has break times to have insulin but there's no prevention for mental health....THERE IS and you are ruining lives, taking away jobs when all one wants to do is be successful. Just because a mental illness is invisible to the eye doesn't mean it doesn't exist and that psychiatrists orders can be denied.

This company is a joke!! They're not there for anyone but the company and saving them money, they force people back to work even tho they have been advised and have notes from a Doctor not to return. Apparently, they have a tablet that overrules a doctors diagnosis and how long the doctor says there patient should be off for. If you have any Mental issues or Drug Issues you are not their problem, trying to get help is something they feel can be done after work. Pls, people call your MP, talk to a lawyer don't let ignorant people override our doctors just so they don't have to pay you benefits that you pay into, remember if you die tomorrow your job will be listed before your obituary.

As soon as they get your file, their only goal is to get you back to work right away, against doctor's orders. They don't bother asking for a second medical opinion. They just tell you you re not sick and harass you every day, threatening to deny your claim. They ask you to fill more forms. They keep calling you, and after a while they find twisted reasons to deny your claim. The whole process is very stressful and unfair.

My experience with them has been hell on earth. I felt like I was dealing with loan sharks or debt collectors. Aggressive and manipulative people. They have no ethics. Trying to reason with them is pointless. I wish I recorded my phone calls with them, because they told me some crazy stuff.

This company should be investigated and employers shouldn t deal with them, unless they want their sick employees to be treated like criminals.

Definitely will be taking whatever steps possible to take these clowns to court. They won't give you any reasons for why you're being denied, and the "Specialists" who review your case have no medical background whatsoever. Do NOT under any circumstances talk to these people without an attorney. Absolutely disgraceful. They literally do more harm than good in "helping" you get back to work.

I would give a zero if I could. The following are just a few of the mjor issies ive had with thia company.

1) it is nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone here - no one ever seems to be answering at reception, and supervisor/complaint calls are handled by one of the vice president of the company.
2) Then when you do reach your worker, they constantly talk over you, instead of listening to your concerns or questions
3) they don't follow up with you on time sensitive issues (i.e. they don't receive updated medical documents, and instead of reaching out to the employee - who assumes all information has been sent - they do nothing, and simply instruct the employer to stop issuing payments)
4) they have no ability to transfer you to a supervisor or to the operator (which was statedson a recorded call).
5) when asked to speak to the supervisor, my worker actually stated that he has no supervisor, but I'm more than willing to go through the automatic system to get a hold of this "supervisor". The problem is the worker refused to provide me with a name - how is a person to use the dial by name directory without a name?
6) it is very common for files to be forgotten about. Numerous times I've had to call in because I didn't receive pay, just to find out that my worker has gone on vacation and no one has processed any required paperwork

This company needs to realize that they're actually dealing with human beings - not just names on a file. Most of the time these individuals don't really understand the process thoroughly, and are depending on you for guidance - not ridicule.

If any company is considering using this company for short term disability needs, I strongly suggest to look elsewhere - they will cause your employees nothing but additional stress and grief.

When you need to hire a lawyer to deal with fake insurance provider like this, you know that their whole operation is a sham. Their business practice lacks professional communication, transparency and basic "good faith" when making decisions. If your employer has a contract with this insurance provider, you will not be care free when submitting your claim.

If I could've left no stars I would have. Horrible place that does not actually read the doctors notes and forms they are provided with. All I asked for was to be left alone to work at home. Oh no could not do that even though my company has a work at home program? Healthy people get to work at home, injured people back at the uncomfortable office for you! Hey guess what? You are not doctors. Now I am worse than 2 months ago.

Unfortunately the company I work for has hired OSI for employees requiring STD. I had a very unresponsive, unsupportive experience with them. I was told in the employee instructions to apply for STD that A Disability Management Specialist from Organizational Solutions Inc. will call you to offer you support during your absence and return to work this was not the case. I left VM after VM with no return calls. Would not recommend this company.

Be very careful with these folks. If you get denied like I did, you will find out that no one within the committee making any decision has any medical background.Their job is to get people back to work, period. You do have the right to appeal, but that will cost you more money depending on the fees your Doctor charges for paper work. Imagine, non medical people telling a certified Doctor that their findings are not substantiated.
Good Luck. I truly would prefer to give them a ZERO. These people work for the company and not the person requiring assistance.

The lady representative is totally bias and abusing the power she has while being in charge of your case file.

She does not foster positivity, no regard for mental health and no respect for physical limitations with no clue about boundaries, professionalism and displays transference while on duty.

My experience with this organization, and that of my peers: have been negative and disappointing.

This is clearly a bullying representative being paid to harass and intimidate workers into submission so they and our employers don't have to pay for benefits andvdeny access services we need, deserve and pay into via our policies.

I do not recommend this company nor do I believe or appreciate their quality of client care.

Ongoing harassment will be taken to mediation and other avenues to administer conflict resolution, as it is no longer a quiet or joking matter.

This employee will be held accountable for her detrimental contributions to people's healing journies. She's interfering with our human rights and freedoms by denying access to our pay which can cause homelessness as rent and mortgages are due. She is also denying access to medical procedures and undermining our mental health and medical conditions. She does this even when all sufficient documentation is submitted, and calls to harass you hours after leaving the hospital after a surgery demanding a back to work date.

For shame.
