Areas clean enough it's a little dated but what I couldn't believe is that they charge the vendors $800 for a spot sell their goods which artificially increases the prices for everybody attending the event. I went to assist an elderly gentleman and his wife with moving their goods from the event.. I was surprised when the event coordinators decided to sit right in front of where everybody was trying to move all this stuff out of the event center. Let's just say if I was going to be a vendor they would have to drop the price and show a little bit more respect to the vendors.

It was totally weird going into Sam Jackson hall and it being set up for vaccines instead of its usual fair/show. Thanks you to the soldiers you are great breath of fresh air to be have you guys there i was taking my gma for her vaccine and really felt a sense of relief. As everything was timely and very well organized.

The 2019 fair was great. Lots of fun things to for the whole family. There wasn't one 2020

The Oregon State Fair is loads of fun to spend the day at. From fair food, vendors with wares to buy to a petting zoo, piglet races and dogs competing by leaping across water, you will be entertained for hours. Tons of rides, then spend your evening at a concert. We go to a concert there every summer at the amphitheater and they are great. VIP seating is the best and cheap prices for those seats. SRO along the back wall is free! Acoustics are great. Whether you live here in Salem or are visiting, make sure to plan a day spent here in your itinerary.

Needed wheelchair. Set up great for vaccinations. Well explained each step. Very polite and helpful. Pleasantly surprised.

Well organized for the vaccine. Entrance for vaccine from Lana street, follow the signs. Looks like there's been quite a storm here recently.

Tried to sigh up online but kept getting messages that there are no more appointments available. Finally decided to just show up as a walk in. To be sure I easily meet the OHA criteria. Once I got there the process took about 1 hour including the after shot wait time to make sure I dont have a allergic reaction. Glad I did it!

Came here to help with the displaced animals, not a review for the fair. The people here are amazing and the food trucks providing goodies are yummy and very appreciated. It is great to see OR come together and help.

Covid Vaccine site review: the initial entry is not well marked but once you find the right entrance (north side, looks like an empty field) the markers are easy to follow. Once parked, non-assistance/accommodation parking is a little ways out from the building and lines, also not super well marked until you're close enough not to need signs anyways.

The actual lines and inside of the building are very well managed though, no panic or confusion and it all went pretty quickly considering the numbers of people.
