A huge place ready to receive a big crowd. We went to the outdoor living house show and almost got lost because it s so big. Place was very clean and nicely designed. We truly enjoyed our time at the show and the parking felt safe even if it s an area surrounded by homeless individuals. The security people are nice and kindly direct you to the location of your event.
Getting the 1st COVID 19 shot today. Very well managed and they keep you moving right along. Be prepared for a at least 60-90 minutes from the time you arrive to going home. Parking is either at the Convention Center garage or across the street (pay either way).
A little extra about the vaccine:
The shot is painless but they warn that your arm will be quite sore in a few days. Newest research says acetaminophen and ibuprofen decrease the effectiveness of the vaccine, so don't take those for the arm pain. Be patient and take care!
I have attended numerous events here and also was vaccinated here and am always very pleased with my experiences. The parking is always very well organized as well. I've parked here even when not attending events (Blazers games for example) and it's never a big hassle (just usually a big line!) I attended Walker Stalker Con here a few years back and it was so busy, the line wrapped around every level and wall, but the staff did a great job at keeping it organized.
Today I had to call in to ask a question about an event I'll soon be attending and spoke with Lolita who was so pleasant and QUICK to help.
I am always very relieved/happy when I am attending an event and see it's hosted at the Convention Center- great work to the entire staff!
Awesome sculptures throughout this spacious building. A good handful of small food places. MANY rooms. Upstairs and downstairs with elevators and escalators. Awesome stage and welcoming atmosphere .
Had been to Oregon Convention Center for
Covid-19 vaccine 1st dose. Place is very spacious and clean atmosphere and ambience is good. Appreciate the efforts done by concern organizers.
I was able to complete the vaccine in 20 - 25 minutes. Staff are friendly and cooperative. They explained clearly. Scheduled the 2nd dose with their help.
Overall it is an excellent drive going on. Once again appreciate the arrangements!!!
Had a great time at the Rose City Comic Con. I have been to several events in the past and this one was awesome. Not too crowded for the current situation we are in. Lots of people in great costly outfits. Plenty of artist booths with a little bit of something for everyone. There were tins of comics of course. I love finding different t-shirts to add to my collection. We had a blast and I look forward to coming back again this time next year.
I'm not quite sure how you give the convention center in a few more than three stars when you're just attending a conference there. It's a big place. That's great for the event.
Great center for Expos/conventions. Attended the Oddities and Curiosities Expo here and had a great time. Tons of Vendor space and exhibit space.
Nice modern center with plenty of room for a (hopefully) late stage pandemic science meeting
