The Regio Ducale Teatro alla Scala in Milan is the best existing theater and is in the 430th season.

Sacred and Magnificent reveals its greatness in every detail while demonstrating excellence, elegance and simplicity.
The artistic and technical perfection of the workers who operate within it is unmatched in the words of Maria Callas "La Scala gives you the maximum."

The Temple of the Times, the Theater of Theaters, the Symbol of Symbols, the Royal Ducal Teatro alla Scala in Milan, inaugurated on 3 August 1778 with "Europa Riconosciuta" by Salieri.

The architect to whom the project of the Theater was entrusted was Giuseppe Piermarini.
The boxers thanked him with a plaque affixed in the reduced entrance "To Giuseppe Piermarini, architect of this theater in the MDCCVIII, the boxers in his centenary"

Negative criticisms of this Temple can only be moved by those who do not know why they are deluded by slanders. The services offered are excellent and those who dispute them should inquire about it. Prices are high, but does anyone have any idea what the prices of a set-up are? Especially with very low public contributions.

We worship the Teatro alla Scala!

Absolutely FABULOUS. we spent two hours there. a real happiness despite the REPETITIONS. Chance of luck there was a break to see a break between 1am and 2:30 am for lunch the auditorium is lit but in the darkness I think it is the preserve of wear. the little film proposed is to see to understand the history of the Scala of Milan I find it just a pity that the tribute is made mainly to Maria Callas because Renata Tebaldi deserves just as much the tribute that is the history of the Postwar Scala

I attended the ballet Sylvia with my wife on December 31st.
We were in boxes 8 and 9, place 3. Places 3 - 4 and 5 are stools located behind places 1 and 2. impossible to sit, plus we only see a quarter of the scene. We stood for more than 2 hours and saw almost nothing. For me it is a scam to sell such places !!! Too bad because it's a beautiful place

The Teatro alla Scala is truly something exceptional! It is a magical world, carried forward by many professionals. It is certainly a place to visit and discover. I had two fantastic guides who told me many details: from the huge chandelier to the scenography. I was really enchanted and I promised myself to come back soon. The concert hall is magnificent: few places but impressive!

Unfortunately we could not do the guided tour because they were doing maintenance on lights and we only agreed if we accepted the gloom, which made us decide. That night there was a work and there were affordable tickets for our change, of course, not in very good places, but it was worth doing, we didn't do it for x matters. I can contribute that the environment is fantastic, for the history and buildings.

From the outside rather simple building, a little more pomp is inside to examine. The ticket prices are already very high and with a performance of more than 2 hours, you are already badly battered at the bad seating in the boxes.
If you just want to catch a glimpse, visit the museum and take a look at the hall from the third floor (access to 5 boxes included in the price).

We went to see an opera: Verdi's Ernani. Sitting in the stalls we witnessed a real show. The artists, the orchestra and all those who set up the scenography and the lights were very good. I do not feel like giving the fifth star because I do not agree with the management of the theater: how is it possible not to request suitable clothing for those who attend the show? It is possible to enter with a checkered shirt, without a jacket or tie. It is not necessary to impose a tailcoat or evening dress, but allowing a gym outfit or a walk in the park seems excessive to me. We have fallen right down.

With a great disappointment I have to share the experience with the La Scala customer approach.

I booked premium tickets for the box for March 2020. Due to the COVID-19 situation the performance was cancelled. Understandable.

We have asked for monetary refund as we did not plan visit any sooner. Since that request, a lengthy, extremely unprofessional process (if any) started.

Until this very day (December 2020) I have not received the refund.

I had to send over 40 follow up emails and received exactly 3 responses to resend my request. When I called the customer line, a lady said she is not able to help and simply hung up the phone on me.

As much as I understand the whole situation is difficult, the behavior of such a landmark cultural estate is unprecedented and great shame.

Whoever is responsible for customer care, shall question his position.

Due to this, we do not recommend to purchase any tickets in advance unless you are 100% sure the performance will take place. Otherwise be ready that you might lose your money.

In our case, to this day, the La Scala holds 500 EUR for performance which never happened and does not respond to our emails to process the refund.

A symbol of safe representation for the city of Milan and for Italy as a whole but in terms of majesty and elegance it is certainly not the number one, Italy has the honor of much richer theaters such as the Massimo theater in Palermo and the Phoenix of Venice that leave the visitor speechless.

La Scala is always the Scala.

La Scala is always the Scala.
It is a theater of excellence much loved by the Milanese.
Externally, however, it is not very good.

Magnificent opera house, very good acoustics.

Magnificent opera house, very good acoustics.
By cons places are at a very high price to have a clear view of the stage (necessary for an opera, less for a concert)
