This place is highly unprofessional! They claim to be tolerant and religious, yet I overheard them talking about vibrators when I came to fill out a volunteer form. Fonda Strong-Thompson is a huge hypocrite. She walks around gossiping about people in her church as well as her staff. She has no idea how to be executive director/ CEO because she lets that place fall bad. Its all about keeping up appearances. The other director, Rosalyn sits around writing grants, yet won't do anything to make sure they are following the regulations in the grants. It is one huge mess there. I feel so sorry for the youth that have to go there as a last resort to homelessness. Someone needs to know about this place..

I was looking for places to volunteer and was considering here, but after reading the reviews I don't know. I realize the reviews were from some time ago. I would like to know if things are different now.

Was a client as a homeless father of 3 with my wife and we were working towards the end due to just moving from fl and they refused to help us with housing after being there for a month and didn't offer any additional services they talk bad about you and staff lives in the shelter. People comes in your room stealing if they want . Worse experience ever plus being homeless was very stressful .

NEVER AGING WILL GO TO THESE PEOPLE FOR HELP ME AND MY KIDS WENT TO THEM FOR HELP THEY CALLED (DFCS) ON ME AND HAD MY KIDS TAKEN FROM ME INSTEAD TELLING ME OVEE THE PHONE THAT THEY HAD NO SPACE AVAILABLE FOR US THEY HAD ME COME INTO OFFICE AFTER DOING PAPER WORK AND CALLING THE STATE TO COME TAKE MY KIDS THEN THEY TELL ME THAT THEY HAD NO SPACE AVAILABLE INSTEAD OF TAKING THE TIME TO HELP ME LOOK FOR SHELTER OR EVEN OFFERING A MOTEL VOUCHER THEY SET ME UP AND DEPRIVED ME KIDS HAPPINESS FROM THEM. ITS WAS ALREADY STRESSFUL ENOUGH THAT ME AND MY KIDS WAS TRYING TO GET BACK HIME TO FLORIDA BUT THEN TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN WAS THE WORST THING IVE HAD TO GO THREW IN MY LIFE. BUT LESSON LEARNED (YOU CANT TRUST EVERYONE).

Certessa is the worse and she needs to be fired she walks around and tries to get everyone kicked out of a homeless shelter, she doesn t like to help people and if she does she brags about it to everyone.
