Oosterpoort Review

My first festival visited what a fun happening for children.

Fantastic cultural center with excellent world-class top artists. For example the Kings Singers, the best close-harmony group in the world. Awesome.

Great theater. Few toilets and a little too little visibility on stage from the auditorium. Located just outside the center near several parking garages

Nice location and beautiful concert of the Dutch Eagles.

Top spot for great concerts. Always great service. Ticket service on point. Sometimes with popular concerts you have to wait in line for your drinks.

Was in the Oosterpoort at Eurosonic and Noorderslag. Sold out and busy. Great atmosphere. Many spaces with performances. Catering fine. Good first aid available. You must have been there more often to actually assess the Oosterpoort. When I am there for a concert it is about the music and that is a very individual taste. Fine as a music center. Excellent acoustics in the small room.

Great concerts but for 'hard' pop music poor acoustics (or a bad sound man)

We first ate at Tromp and then saw G3 concert. Super evening

Both the small and large room have excellent acoustics and space. Wardrobe is easily operated. I like to go to concerts here.

Good sound, good flow of ticketing and drinks, but paying for parking could and should be a lot smoother in my eyes.

Been to Marillion. Fantastic! Sound / acoustics very good. Only strange that there were all chairs, that actually does not belong to Marillion ...

Great space for a concert series like take roots. There were many staff members, where you can ask for anything. There was plenty to eat and drink. The festival was soooo impressive. Next year again.

Small concert hall visited. Nice room with nice atmosphere. Good sound during concert. Also easily accessible and pleasant parking in adjacent parking garage. Paying drinks is possible with cash or pin ... So no coins

Nice artists, enough bards, just a pity about the state of some things about the building.

Very nice concert stage. Great concerts from classical to pop and from jazz to soul. And yes, a fine glass of wine and various beers are also offered. Recommended for music lovers.

neatly clean and friendly staff. only downside was the security during the concert where we were. some were very unfriendly while I know that you as a security guard are also a host.

During Latin Dance Night the sound was far too loud and also poorly tuned. It distorted and a lot of singing around. A tendency that you unfortunately encounter everywhere nowadays. Repeat thieves are a necessity, why really? This way I can enjoy music better at home.

Concert was great, location great, but unfortunately thieves were out on the evening and stole cell phones, wallets etc. from several people

Unfortunately a drama if you park here. I stood in a stinky garage for 45 minutes.

Cultural events center of Groningen. Beautiful main hall, definitely work checking out.

Great theater. Only downside: it takes a week and a half to get out of the parking garage.

Good sound characteristics, nice halls, good bar. You can even eat a bite and there is a smoking room.
In short: Worth a visit

Nice location, good in the centre. Enough space and bars and toilets.

The Oosterpoort has two beautiful concert halls, friendly staff, nice concerts, good parking facilities and close to the station.
The only drawback is that there is little space at the seats. You sit with your knees against the chair in front of you, and you always get a push from the person behind you. When a concert is sold out it is also too crowded on the ground to be able to stand normally. To make it more pleasant, there should therefore be a little less tickets to be sold. Everything else is great and I like to come there.

Remarkably timeless cultural center. Excellent acoustics and a great enthusiastic audience make it a joy for many artists to perform here.

Already attended several performances and events here. I like the small scale very much. Parking garage next door, what more could you want?

Pleasant modern room. Home of the NNO. Also extensive beer list with many Belgian beers.

Atmospheric and cozy building, enormously broad programming and you can also enjoy delicious food and drink a great (local) beer!

Nice theater. Attended concert in the small hall. There are benches in the room that are reasonably comfortable, unfortunately limited legroom. Wardrobe included in the price. Beautiful entourage.

Another fantastic line-up and more visitors. Unfortunately this x also a linear programming, so that all concerts ended simultaneously and everyone started moving at the same time. The result, queues, missed favorites and a reduced sense of freedom for visitors at a festival where musical freedom is paramount. Can that be done differently next year?

Nice and big concert hall in Groningen. Went here for one of the installments of the Cross-Linx festival. Nice big hall with good acoustics. Quite a bit away from the city center and the railway station.

We had a nice evening and there was a very good atmosphere. There were nice drinks and good music. So if you want a nice evening, the Oosterpoort is a good choice!

Always great shows at reasonable rates, good acoustics whether it's stand-up comedy or a rock band.

Sound worthless. Music drowns out vocals and rhythm still. Especially hard, but poor quality. After the concert you are in a traffic jam in the parking garage for 40 minutes before you are outside.

Absolute amoclocation. I was there to watch Noisia and the sound was great. The only drawback: few toilets were open.

Compact main room so you sit close to the stage or state. Good sound. Atmospheric.

Super nice rooms, beautiful stands with soft fabric. Prices for drinks / food very expensive, but that is normal nowadays!
