Oosterpoort Review

Nice concert hall/theater. Two halls, a big one and a smaller one. Good acoustics

Had a wonderful concert by Giovanca, with songs by Diana Ross. Convincing, and what a look. So Giovanca.

Been to De Oosterpoort a few times. And always impressed by this beautiful concert hall. The sound is just good for both classical music and a rock concert. Good food in advance in the great restaurant, completes the 'night out'.

The reception upstairs during the break is chaos. The garage exit took 45 minutes!
We were not warned about the detours back to Asse.
This room is unsuitable for such a large number of visitors.

Beautiful conference complex / theater against the center of Groningen. Within walking distance of the NS Station. We visit regularly and have enjoyed, among others, Daniel Lohues, Golden Earring, The Waterboys, The Dike, The Dubliners, Bootleg Beatles, Def Americans. Actually too much to mention.

Yes ... the Oosterpoort ..! Beautiful concerts experienced, the great room is great! Good acoustics, nice seats, good visibility and sound everywhere.
The small (er) room is actually top notch, but after you have really fallen down on the benches, after a while they will be slightly uncomfortable ... that's the only thing I think is a pity.
Furthermore top location!

Dated building, however, looks fine. Good and pleasant service at the wardrobe and in the 3 bars.

Nice location, there are standing and sitting places so if you want to sit you have to come on time.

Elegant and functional place suitable for large events

Beautiful rooms that ensure good acoustics! Easily accessible by public transport, but if you come by bike you can easily lose it :)

Really nice place, well organized. I went to Julia Zahra concert and it was really nice!

Nice room not too big not too small, bar not too expensive

Catering was fine.
Toilet facility (h.) Just next to the hall very insufficient. (defective + very dirty + 1 of the 2 towel rolls on + all paper towels.
Capacity too small (long line outside)

If you are going to see something nice, it is of course always good

Great music temple with a wide range, perfect hospitality and above all a nice sound

Don't forget your parking card in the car. It enables your reentry.

Just great, get in quickly, get out quickly!

I prefer to go to the Oosterpoort, big artists often come and with the right setting the sound is great!

Beirut seen. Had a fantastic evening. They always wipe you out of the room soon after a concert.

Trying to get out of the parking garage after an event is a drama. You are guaranteed to stand still for 20 minutes.

Was great performance by Doe Maar. The hall was fine and everywhere a bar was easy to reach. Enjoyed

Separate place. Pretty ugly. During Eurosonic / Noorderslag: fine. Many halls. Excellent catering. Everything easy, from check-in to payment to etc.

Varied offer of performances. Parking available under the Oosterpoort. Both sitting and standing available.

Been to Americano by Johan Derksen. Awesome!! What a musicians.

Well organized, friendly people. This is where the most from a running types of performances come. You have a bar at many locations, and you can also eat well here. There is a spacious parking garage and it is located near the central station. Unfortunately the Oosterpoort is too small for the big gigs.

Beautiful large room and great sound. The small room is also a great room with good visibility everywhere.

A nice place to go to beautiful shows. Spacious and well furnished. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Accessible place close to cs Groningen with top artists

A big modern facility. The "Kleiner Zaal" could be a bit more quiet but I enjoyed the acoustics recording a chamber orchestra.

The place to be. Various rooms and good catering. Culture at its best.

A very neat venue in the heart of Groningen, 5 minutes from the station!

On Wednesday there are lunch concerts in the Oosterpoort that are free of charge or you can see a try-out of the North Dutch orchestra and sometimes solo artists who give a concert it starts at 12.00 to 13.00
