For those that are leaving reviews about how loud the jets are at night, should just stop. They need to be ready at all times of the day, and so if you aren't happy with the support they are giving us and making sure we get to live another day freely, then move away because I go to sleep hearing the jets and thinking about how lucky we all are to have as much protection as we do in this country. God Bless America and thank you troops!
Great place to take kids. The only thing that would make it better would be if they had more than one airplane you could go inside.
Awesome Base for many of our country's F16 fighter jets, copters and MANY others that fly over our house doing training manuvers almost daily. Much harder to get on certain areas on the base but knowing people who live on base makes it easier to enter if at all without proper authorities and thorough inspection each time which is much more thorough than in the past as expected. Inside the base is well taken care of and much larger than most others expect as I did. It's like it's own little city. Every day and mostly at night in the air is something different. Usually staying at higher altitudes, although with my military scope am able to get great views of the jets when there is no cloud cover that they seem to prefer when training or drills.
The view here is amazing :) The people are fantastic! And the air show this year was a blast!!
Went to the airshow this year and was really a fiasco. My gosh. We got front row seats because we got up way early waited in line and beat out the huge crowds... THEN they told us ALL to move! So we got screwed from our spot and come to find out, they let people go back there to our spot where we were. We were furious. No coolers. No backpacks. You have to buy their water and food stuffs at concessions that are super expensive. After sitting on the hot tarmac for 8 hours we were done. Still had a decent time but for a free event it s not free at all.
I won t go back to this airshow. I ll wait for the one in Vegas. The only real entertainment was the F-35 s and the Thunderbirds.
Free! My kids ages 3-12 all enjoyed it.

I loved it.
Every day at 6:30 to midnight jets fly over making it very hard for me and my family to rest at all. We've lived in layton for 4 years now still unable to get away from noisy jets. Everytime the jets pass by they get lower and lower. This time when I saw the jets pass by they were almost skimming my apartment building! This is insane they need to think about people not themselves. 4 years ago my father had perfect hearing but now after 4 years in layton with the jets getting lower and louder he's completely deaf!!
The base is one like no other. Grateful to be an American.
