Amazing hospital n staff been coming to hospital for over 5 years now For any medical need n will be coming back. Also gave birth here and amazing experience.

I had ER surgery Dr.Ruddy did it a very happy professional knew what was needed didn t waste time. I had an illious happen after surgery. (I was released prior to this). 2 days later I m back. I was taken right in given care and treatment. I want to say the whole staff on the fourth floor work as a well oiled machine. Marie Stephanie Stacey Maureen Carl Jessica are just the tip of a great crew. Thank you for all you do and did for me. God bless each of you on this floor.

My wife has been admitting several times over the last year and a half being a stage 4 cancer patient. We choose to drive the half hour from the Utica area due to the compassion and care that you receive here from the entire staff. Never a bad experience, the nurses are comforting and attentive, and genuinely care for the patients. Dr Vanderhoof and Dr McKay are great, they take the time to explain what s going on and what they are doing and they answer your questions.
I especially want to thank Dr McKay for going above and beyond for my family. He truly is in the right line of work, and he genuinely cares for his patients and their families. I think the Oneida hospital is very lucky to have him there.

I had to have a hernia repair this past Friday .This had been my 7th hernia repair so i have been in a few different hospitals . I was very surprised by the excellent care i had while i was there. I was in the hospital for 3 days and the nurses were amazing they gave me the best care i have ever had. Your hospital should be very proud of each and everyone of them. Thank you for the care and going above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

I am sitting in the ER with my Daughter right now. I have heard some horror stories since Covid. Right now at 230a.m I could not ask for better care for her or myself. Dr. Thomas has the wonderful. The nursing staff, guards and everybody. Thank you for just being there and being kind. God Bless Everyone of you.

Find another hospital that cares about its patients. I was in labor for 4 days and my labor experience was terrible. I had to go back to this facility 4 times because they kept sending me home (I first went in 4 times, between Thursday and Saturday, before my scheduled induction that following Monday). They wouldn t admit me for an Early induction because they were understaffed and kept having me wait it out until my schedule induction (Monday). While I was being monitored, they wouldn t let my husband in with me because I was not admitted. The nurses did not take my pain seriously, they kept telling I would be okay and their experience was okay and they were fine, I ll be fine. Well, I wouldn t be going in if I was fine . Each person is different and when staff does not take patients seriously and try to push them out, that is when emergencies happen (the nurses did apologize for my experience after the fact). My pain became so terrible, I almost passed out in the shower on Saturday. I was afraid of an emergency C-Section, so I called Syracuse hospital and got some information from them and I was going to go there if Oneida did not admit me that morning(Saturday). When I finally went in the fourth time, they admitted me. The night staff nurses taking care of my little one after I had her were rude. The staff threw away our paperwork we filled out that my husband handed to them the night of our stay (I watched him do it) and we had to do the Information over the phone. They still messed up her certificate and I had to call the court and hospital to get it fixed. Also, the rooms you stay in overnight are very small, not worth what you are paying for. The only good thing I have to say is that the doctor who delivered my baby was really wonderful that night and the nurses working with her that night were great. The rest of the doctors and nurses are rude and did the bare minimum. I would call another local hospital and compare their service and do research before considering Oneida.

My little girl will be having surgery soon my very 1st experience with this hospital was over the phone to pre register and set up a testing appointment before the procedure. Rude disrespectful abrupt. These are interesting times we live in because of the pandemic and I understand people may be asking questions that to staff may seem obvious or they may be answering the same questions all day every day but for me and my daughter who's the patient we are concerned and we need to know what to expect. My daughter's surgeon chose this hospital and if I had a choice I would go somewhere else. Not everybody is meant for the medical field in all aspects of the profession From the frontline to the recovery Room compassion and reassurance goes a long way sometimes information is not enough.

Parking is awful. There s like 8 spaces by the ER entrance. You drive around looking for spots. If your lucky you might find space up at the YMCA.

I have experienced kindness, professionalism, and effectiveness each time we ve had a routine test or difficult procedure. Everyone seems so caring here! We are fortunate to have them in our community.

Paid my medical bills in full and you guys are still taking my money. Tried to call and get this taken care of, but no one seems to answer.
