What a beautiful showroom. Went in looking for new floors for my house. I got the nicest hardwoods at the greatest price. The sales people are so nice! I felt like family, they really cared about my needs. Before I left they showed me there new sleep center. OMG, I bought a bed too! The new Serta beds are out of this world. They were running a special and I walked out with the deals of a century!!!! Love, love, love this place

What I liked: I found the particular place of business to be really well kept and professional. Each time I returned to survey or borrow materials everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable. I really shopped around and decided that carpet just costs what it costs everyone just has their own way to package it. In the end I thought their prices were overall comprable to the other 4 places I shopped. They did have some really great deals going on at the time and I benefited from their advice. I felt they took their time to really listen to what it was I was trying to achieve in my home as we were replacing a ton of flooring/carpeting. I liked being able to take samples home to match things up properly.

What I didn't like: We replaced some carpteted areas with wood hence we had trim we hadn't had before. The trim came primed and not painted. This is apparently an industry standard and should be a known thing but I never dreamed I would spend thousands of dollars and not get painted trim then have to go find a painter after the fact to make it a finished product. I would have greatly appreciated being told that ahead of time and then I would have gotten it painted prior to the installation. It was left w. the spaces not filled in, cracks showing and holes from where it was nailed in, when I called about that they were willing to send the guy back out and he did in fact fix it but this was really just somthing that was a bummer in the process.

When they were doing my hallways floors they ended up having to sand the floors for the best fit which is totally cool but my house was covered from top to bottom with dust - I get that it's a construction zone etc however simply shutting bedroom doors or using a machine to help keep down the dust as I have heard others do or putting up plastic to help would have been appreciated. If I had known it was going to happen, I would have hung it up myself - it took me hours upon hours to get my house cleaned up. When I called about that I was told that there's nothing to be done about it which I still disagree with to a certain level.

I think the company is overall great and would recommend them however be aware of the things I wasn't to ensure a more positive outcome. I did call to have them return to fix the trim and then there were a couple of things that weren't nailed down correctly in one area and 2 sharp nails sticking out on my staircase. They returned to fix immediately and upheld things that were mistakes that could happen anywhere.

Great experience all around. I was surprised by the huge selection of hardwood floor options. The salesperson Laura was friendly and helpful and the installers were on time and very professional. The new floors look great!

As a newer home owner, we were looking to update our floors and weren't sure where to get started. We had gone to several places and felt overwhelmed by what we could choose from as well as how to plan it all out. We walked into Carpet One in Clifton Park to start thinking over some options, and Laura M. quickly greeted us and provided us a fantastic overview of the different tile and carpet options, and gave that personal touch that many places are lacking. She made us feel quickly at ease as she explained the different benefits of each option, and let us take home samples to try out in the house to see what would work the best.

Within a couple of days we had Bob come out to measure our space, and he was equally delightful. Once we got our estimate, we reconnected with Laura M. to finalize our plan and place our order.

Overall, our experience has been amazing working with Carpet One of Clifton Park. Laura M. has been stupendous in helping us understand the process, picking out flooring options that matched our budget, and being so enthusiastic and excited about the whole experience. If it wasn't for her, I'm pretty sure we'd never get a new floor! :)

The sales department was great. Paid for my floor in July (flooring and installation). Scheduled installation for August. Carpet One canceled the night before saying the job previous needed an extra day. I was fine with this, as I would expect my floor to be completed as well. Lost a full day of pay. Installation rescheduled for September (earliest date available). Installers show up and realize my floor needs more prep work than expected. It ll cost $1500 (on top of a $2700 floor). $1500 extra paid that day and floor not complete. They ll have to come back to actually put down my floor. Scheduled again for October 15 (again, earliest date available). Took the day off then sat around for no one to show up. Called the installation team twice asking where they were. Finally got a call back stating that my floor was marked as complete and no return to my home was even put in the system. At this point, my flooring was sitting in boxes in my dining room. Lost another day of pay. Rescheduled again for October 16th (scrambled to find someone to fix the mistake which I appreciate). This time, he did show up. However, lost another day of pay to stay home for him to come. In the end my floor looks great but I lost almost $1000 in pay as well as $4200 for the actual floor. If you want to buy a floor, this is a good place- but don t dream about getting it installed!

Edit: owner responded asking me to call the branch. I did, no one knew where to send me. Tried texting the cell number in a previous response. No reply. Don t be fooled by the replies.

My husband and I were looking to freshen up a few rooms in our home so we went shopping for new carpeting. The first company that came to our minds was Carpet One Floor and Home, because we have purchased through them on 2 other occasions over the past 24 years. We had great experiences both times. This time we dealt with Sales Consultant Laura Madelone in Clifton Park. Even though the hours we were available and her hours didn t align, she was extremely attentive to our order and very accommodating to our needs, making several phone calls to confirm we were happy, inquire whether we needed any additional information, and to simply thank us when we placed our order. We visited the store on a couple of occasions in the evening prior to finalizing our order. Both times we were greeted by the nicest Sales Consultant Frank Anetzberger. Even though this wasn t his sale, Frank was absolutely fabulous to work with. He took us through the showroom and gave us honest and genuine advice about our choices. He did not try to oversell us on the products. He spoke truthfully, as if advising a family member on which options were our best bargain and could realistically meet our installation schedule. We went in on my birthday to place and pay for our order, and Frank took extra time with us. He made a big deal about my birthday. He learned that we are considering putting an addition on our home, and he took the time to advise us on luxury vinyl plank flooring options that were absolutely gorgeous and affordable. We purchased a small area rug to take with us that day. Frank cut us a good deal on the area rug. I am so impressed with this company.

A week prior to our original installation date, we had some issues with other work being done on our home which required us to push the carpet installation out a couple of weeks. When we called, our request to reschedule was honored and we were able to schedule the exact date we wanted the installation to take place with just one easy phone call.

We originally purchased padding to go down, but when my husband pulled up our old carpet the evening before our installation, we discovered that the old padding was still in very decent shape. We called the Carpet One Scheduler Pam to discuss this and verify the installation time. Pam spoke to my husband very professionally listened to his concern about purchasing padding that he really doesn t need. She was amazing and helpful, promising to have someone call him back to discuss it. Within minutes we received a phone call back from another person with excellent customer service skills. Store Manager Todd Sauter spoke to my husband and without any hesitation, he agreed to remove the padding from our order, instantly saving us $500 in unnecessary costs.

On the day of installation, two gentlemen arrived on time with all of the materials and tools needed to do the job, and they went right to work. My husband tried to help them carry the carpeting up the stairs, but they wouldn t hear of it. They graciously and politely let him know that he didn t have to lift a finger. They were such a fast and professional team. However the best part about the installation is the results. This installation is nothing short of PERFECTION! We absolutely love the job, the seeming with existing carpet that wasn t being replaced was flawless, the carpet itself is so gorgeous. This was not a high end carpet, but it looks pretty high end on my floors. These installation guys insisted on vacuuming the new carpet after it went down. My husband tried to tell them not to worry about it, but they said this is part of the job.

We are a 3 time loyal customer now. We wouldn t consider purchasing carpet from another company. We will always consider Carpet One Floor and Home first for all of our flooring and other home improvement options they offer. We will refer all friends and family in their direction. Thank you so much for such an excellent experience.

Sincerely,
Jacqui and Greg Schnapp

We came in to your CP store

We came in to your CP store
with every intention of choosing
flooring and carpeting.
Until our salesperson (mid-sale)
took another customer that came in AFTER us. We waited a while,
never saw him again,
left the store and never returned.

Love our new hardwood floors! The showroom is huge and has every floor sample imaginable, but we found a wide plank hand scraped maple that was the perfect color. Carpet One also did the stone on our fireplace and the subway tile backsplash in our kitchen. We had 3 different installers for each part of our remodel and they were all excellent. Very professional and the finished product was even better than we had hoped for. We definitely recommend Carpet One.

Stopped over the Clifton Park store while shopping for my hardwood floors. Laura M. was most helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering me tons of options to choose from. Impressive taste and sense of style. I would highly recommend Laura and her store for checking out beautiful flooring options.

Kind of a flim flam operation. We ordered flooring and were told it would be delivered in 3 weeks. 1 week goes by and we get the call that the flooring is no longer available. We ask for our money back and low and behold the flooring is back to being available. After 3 week we we get the call to set up delivery but, "oh, by the way your special floor sealing and adhesive won't be available for three months.". What know if malarkey is this? If our salesman Rocky doesn't make this right there is going to be hell to pay!

I was told that we should have our completed quote on Monday. Tuesday I called to ask if it could be emailed to me. Laura stated that it was still incomplete but she would finish it and send it on it s way that day. After not receiving it the rest of the week, I went into the showroom on Saturday. I again requested the quote, only to find it still wasn t done. Laura advised I should find something else to do for 10 minutes while she worked on it. Clearly Carpet One does not value my business and I will be taking it elsewhere.

We used Carpet One to replace carpeting throughout our upstairs and stairway. The carpet looks great and the installation went without a hitch. They also took the time to sit down with us to go through the entire process before the installation. The installers were top notch and left no damage behind. You will not be disappointed.

I can t say enough great things about the installment. Jim and Pat with son Jagger and helpers enjoy what they do. They arrive on time. They start working immediately and continue to work 8 hours straight with smiles on their faces. The time that was estimated for the flooring to be put down was cut in half We just felt like we ve known them forever. They are the bomb

Downside was carpet delivery took 6 weeks. Carpet One then did an excellent job of working with us to do our installation because we couldn't do back-to-back days. The carpets were installed within a week. The installers they use did an great job!! Thanks Carpet One!

We ordered tile and were given a delivery date of two weeks. After the two weeks, we were told by our sales rep, Rocco, the tile was somewhere between Georgia and New Jersey, and could not be located. After numerous phone calls we were able to contact the tile manufacturer s rep and was told that our tile was in fact not lost, but sitting in a New Jersey warehouse waiting to be released for delivery.
Apparently, though not confirmed, we were told by a person in the carpet and tile industry Carpet One was C.O.D. with this company and had not paid to release our tile, even though we paid in full at the time of purchase. After numerous calls I went back to the store. I was then told by Rocco it was out of his control, he had done all he could and if I didn t like it I should ask for a refund. That is when he physically picked up a credit card machine and asked if I wanted my money back. That was their solution to the problem.
I tried contacting the owner, Chris Taylor, left him a voice mail, and never received a response.
Two weeks later, we finally received the tile.
We will never do business with them again.

I used Carpet One to replace my whole upstairs carpet and replace the carpet downstairs with a hardwood floor. The entire process was easy, from matching the hardwood, to choosing the carpet and padding. Their prices were also WAY lower than the other two vendors that I was considering. The installation was completed precisely when they said it would be. I would highly recommend them.

I used carpet one to replace all of the flooring in my home. They have an excellent selection. They work with you to make everything just right. They even have a policy to replace flooring once, if it is not exactly what you hoped it to be. Thoroughly pleased with them!
