Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade Review

I have been here a couple of times for events. Eventually I would like to afford to stay

Nice hotel. Parking was hard to find late at night.

You can't beat the location and staff. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located Ina central area in San Antonio close to everything. However, the rooms need to be updated. Our pillows were flat and the sofa bed could use a memory mattress instead of the old school spring that ends up being so lumpy. Our bathroom sink had a small leak and we would wake up with a puddle every morning. The bathtub drain was not able to keep up and we would end up showering with our feet submerged in dirty water. They did try to fix the tub twice with no luck. Overall based on the service, location and staff it still beats any hotel around the area.

We're here at the Omni off of I-10 for valentine's weekend and we left early this morning and came back expecting the room to be cleaned, the towels to be replaced and the bed to be made. It is now 3:30 PM and no room service has been done. I called the front desk and they said they should have done it early this morning and they didn't know that no one had been up here yet. Not too happy about that at all. I would have thought that they would be on top of everything.

It's an older hotel, but it does have great Premier King rooms that have a bedroom/livingroom split. The staff has been nice and helpful and we plan on dining at Bolo this evening.

Staff was very helpful and curteous. Really enjoyed my stay!

The hotel is old. My room had an unpleasant smell. The service was great but if you are checking in late at night there is a difference ambiance and the service is not that great. The pool has two lanes for swimmers. If going to San Antonio for the first time this is not the best place to stay.

I have a good time It is a better hotel to stay and the employees are fantastic!

Plenty of parking ...My Friends church had a fashion show with a variety of vendors...Meal served was
baked chicken, string beans and mashed potatoes with rolls..Desert was carrot cake and chocolate cake. So good. This is my friend....

Staff was SO friendly and helpful.

Wish I could remember everyone's name but Hector (Doorman) and Jesse (Service? Manager) were so awesome and could even greet by name once they knew mine.

Having been involved with events here besides being a guest. Everything that I have experienced was wonderful!

Attended a conference at the hotel and the experience was pleasurable. Facility was adequate for the function and staff catered.

Stayed here on 4th of July. Pool closed at 12am which was great since we checked in at 4pm, so the kids had plenty of time to spend at the pool. They have a nice indoor and outdoor pool with a bar close by. They played a movie on the projector later in the evening. My kids enjoyed watching a movie while relaxing in the pool. The margarita I ordered was good just a little pricey. The room was nice, average size and we got a nice view. We got to see some fireworks from our room since it was facing the expressway. Overall, everything was good.

Provide fast service. Everyone is ready to assist you with whatever you need.

The event center worked great for our event. Not.much selection for snacks.

Decided to book a room Friday as we have been going stir crazy because of the shelter at home. The front desk personnel were courteous and attentive and the room was in immaculate shape when we arrived. Fantastic stay and time in San Antonio and the hill country.

Went to a function here and they had absolutely no vegetarian options for the breakfast, very poor anddisappointing, the staff were also very rude when I asked about something as simple as if they had anything unplated or even bread

Wow, where to start, we had a warm welcome when we came in and the staff was all super friendly. My son wanted to share his birthday cake with the staff and we brought them all a slice. They showed their appreciation with an elegant dessert from the restaurant. Seriously super classy. We'll definitely be coming back. Oh and the amenities are all great

Bathroom has been Kindof gross at the events I've attended here. Like pee on floors before the event started, you would think they would do a quick clean-up before a wedding or corporate event.

The staff is friendly and load-in is usually super easy for event staff.

They want "be our guest" played before every event. Which is weird. And tacky. But it's San Antonio. Which is weird and tacky.

This hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The three stars reflect the "old hotel" room smell about the place and also the shower pressure or may I say lack of pressure. There is so little water coming out that it takes forever to take a shower. Also the air conditioning will not cool below 72 degrees.

A bit dated, could use some updating. Staff are very helpful.

The ballroom was really nice and the staff were extremely helpful.

Worked an event there and was very impressed with the staff of the hotel. Extremely nice and accomodating. Food was also wonderful. Did not stay in a room, but all the event rooms were wonderfully cleaned.

Good experience except for one time with front desk person....she told me there was no conference at the hotel and the(large) sign with the conference agenda was on an easel ten feet away from her,LOL

Attened a gala hosted here. The staff was attentive and courteous. Would definitely consider staying here and recommending it to others.

We had a great experience staying at this hotel for a recent romantic getaway and dinner with friends. The food was also excellent. Recommended.

From the welcome upon my arrival and every touch point throughout my stay, this hotel was AWESOME!!! I felt like they came to work to help me, but not in a subservient way, but like a friend. The special touches were mind blowing. Not to mention, I was there for a convention. At our Gala event, the waite staff came thru the door with raging sparkles on their trays to serve us , I was stunned!! It added such a glamourous touch to an already spectacular event. The meal was succulent and again, the staff was so friendly. My respect and sincere gratitude to all of the staff at the front desk, concierge, the spa, the in-house restaurant and the cleaning staff. Blessings to each of you and your families.

I visited the Omni for a luncheon. Great service from a wonderful staff! They were very fast and efficient.

Love this place. They have the kids program that provides a backpack with games and items for our 10 year old son as well as leaving him chocolate chip cookies and milk on ice in the evening. Great stay and great service

Excellent Customer service from Management and everyone we spoke with during our staycation. The Suites are gorgeous and the King Premier room we stayed in the last night was very clean, updated and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again soon! Omni, Thank you so much! My family and I stayed at the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade over the weekend of July 19th. Upon my entry to the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the staff. However, once we entered into our 19th floor hotel room we quickly discovered that there was an odor in the room. The comforter and the decorative pillows on the bed had a mildew odor to the,.
Additionally, once we inspected our bathroom we discovered hair along the bathroom time. We notified the front desk staff that our room required a complete cleaning due to the bathroom hair and the stuffy nature of the room. Upon our return, we only noticed that the bed was remade, towels were restacked, but the hair within the shower remained.
Unfortunately, our inability to get comfortable did not make our stay pleasant.

This is always our go to place in San Antonio. Clean and comfortable and convenient to downtown attractions, hill country excursions and great dining options close by. Very convenient to good shopping as well!

Great hotel with a clean room but I'm pretty sure our bed is broken. It caves toward the middle pretty badly.

I had a wonderful stay! Being a Select Guest has its privileges.

People were really nice here. All of the staff had smiles, courteous, helpful, and lovely to deal with. The two downsides are the noise from room to room (I could hear drawers shutting, doors closing, things banging around from next door and upstairs), and the hair dryer. Ladies--bring your own! The hair dryer's "high" settings are like most large hair dryers' low settings so it will take you twice as long to dry your hair. Other than those small things and the room not being ready when I checked in via online checkin 3 hours prior, it has been a great experience. Exercise room is excellent too.

A bit frowzy and dated. Think MTV's Nick and Jessica decor. Pre-check didn't have my room card waiting. Internet was down and the front desk couldn't check in anyone for an hour. Service has been great so far. They did offer free lunch while I waited. Traffic noise from the 16th floor? Internet is abysmal..

It's the BEST HOTEL in San Antonio TX, the price is a little bit HIGH, but still i like it, very nice place to SLEEP

Definitely a great place to spend your vacation or when you visit San Antonio! I love all the services they offer. But the Gym and the pool were my children's favorite places! Thank you for these three wonderful days! Everything perfect: clean, pleasant, 100% security measures on Covid-19, nearby restaurants and a very comfortable bed to rest! Look to Omni to stay when you visit San Antonio TX! You will like!

The 2nd floor conference rooms are very nice and set up for a professional demonstration. Almost like a class room environment but a bit more upscale.

The Omni is supreme when it comes to staying at a hotel. This location in particular has an amazingly friendly staff that always makes us feel like family. They are welcoming, helpful and kind. The rooms are always prestine and the kids love all of the extras. The breakfast buffet is one of our favorite things overall as a family. We love coming to the Omni Colonade and will stay here even if it s 45 minutes away from our destination for the day.

I love the Omni where ever I go. They are always top notch.

The carpet needed to be vacuumed...the headboard had greasy handprints and you could see where people had leaned their heads against it. The towels and washcloths smelled like body odor. We went to the bar area and the coach we sat on had flat cushions, they were stained and smelled awful. You can guarantee we will never stay here again!

I have stayed at this hotel several times and I was a little disappointed this time. The outside pool was dirty.

The Banquet Staff has an exceptional eye for detail. The ballroom looked amazing!

Proffesional staff, rooms are excellent and very comfortable. Free parking a plus and close to attractions. We would stay here again in the future.

Great place but unfortunately no free WiFi no free breakfast

We stayed at the Omni as part of the SeaWorld package for 3 nights. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly to our family . Our young grandkids were treated great, always greeted with smiles and a helpful attitude from entire staff. Wonderful breakfast each morning!

Staff was very friendly and worked very hard to accommodate my request and win my satisfaction. My kids were given activity bags. The food was amazing.

I think this hotel was a good bang for your buck. It s in a nice location with a lot to choose from in terms of eats: downtown around 20 mins away, sea world 15 mins away.
It was impossible to get a hold of anybody over the phone and the rooms had a very dingy smell (I realize this sounds slightly obnoxious) but we re staying at a newer hotel in Austin and the difference is very noticeable. They should really think about interior renovation as everything is dated...the tubs would not drain in our room and our friends There was no microwave and only a mini fridge with the basic over priced hotel refreshments....I don t think I d stay here again with small kids. The pool was nice but VERY crowded.
Overall better w. older kids

Some of the food was slightly cold, would like moscoto wine or more options for drinks, staff very friendly and attentive, good range of assorted foods. Thanksgiving wasn't great, but Christmas was very well done. Very disappointed there was no prime rib despite it being on the menu for the event.

No complaints, which is saying a lot when it comes to hotels.

I stayed at the Omni Colonnade from Sept 2,2016-Sept 5,2016...
I have never had such an absolutely awesome experience at a hotel like I did this trip.
The Manager, Richard Vaquez, Jr. was friendly, accommodating and one of the nicest people that I have ever encountered.
My room was spotless, the housekeeping ladies were more than helpful and friendly.
Myles, Angie and the others at the front desk were wonderful.
I will definitely stay at the Omni again!

It's great for someone with out kids. But was not a good fit for my family

For being right next to the highway this hotel was pleasantly quiet and relaxing. The restaurant was also delicious, room service was prompt and the staff very friendly. We will be back!

Amar at Peets (coffee &tea) was so friendly and helpful! Clean facility..totally enjoyed the Jensen Learning event. I will stay here again!

I attended the Red Raider Roadshow with my Stepson. The conference rooms were set up nicely and the appetizers were delicious. I'm an Executive Assistant and would definitely look in to the Omni Colonnade for my next large meeting.
