Love this zoo! This is by far the best shop we've been at.
Loooove it. Get the zoo pass great deal. 75$ a year
Wonderful Zoo! It poured the first few hours we were there but there were plenty of places to get out of the rain if needed. If some parents could teach their animals to not pound on the glass of exhibits the zoo animals would have a much more peaceful life.
World class zoo. Aquarium, and desert dome particularly noteworthy.
Awesome zoo. The desert dome and aquarium are amazing.
Amazing zoo any time of year! The indoor habitats are as amazing as the outdoor habitats! Plan to spend the day. If you do one ride, do the sky lift. Great wildlife views.
If you want to see one of the best zoo's in the world, dare I say the best, this is your stop. This zoo is also highly involved with education and animal habitat awareness. You will leave knowing more and have a better appreciation for all wild life. You can see this zoo in one day, but to fully enjoy it take two.
The zoo is always fun to be looking at the animals. The skyride was so fun and I got to be closer with my sister.
Fun time as always. Seemed to hit a lull and everything was either sleeping or just not in it's cages or whatever. Looks like a lot is coming in 2019. I'll be interested in checking that out.
World class zoo. Food and drink prices are a little steep but that's to be expected. The variety of animals they have is incredible. The IMAX theatre is great. I've been going here since I was a little kid and it has only gotten better. I wish they had enough funding to update some of the buildings.
Absolutely incredible zoo. You need the 2 day pass without a doubt. There's so much incredible stuff to see there.
What a great zoo! Was only there for one day but could have spent another! So many different and unique displays and exhibits!
This is probably my favorite zoo ever... I absolutely love it especially the aquarium and the best part is they are always expanding it seems which mean more fun for me n the kids
The entire zoo was great but definitely loved the aquarium
So much to see, you'll want to come back right after you leave.
Great family place. lots to do and see. constantly adding and updating features. Best zoo in the states bar none
This zoo is wonderful! I've been visiting it for the last 15 yrs and watching it grow and expand has been great fun. It's large enough to spend a whole day there with the kids. The jungle and aquarium are my favorite places.
The Sting ray petting area was very enjoyable for our children ( this did cost extra ) . The snack stands were not all open due to covid and the soda machine near the Gorilla's happily took our money and didn't dispense anything. The staff actually drove around the park and brought us a soda. Which was very above and beyond , a credit would have done just fine but this extra customer service well deserves the 5 star rating.
This is an incredible zoo and is one of the best things to do in Omaha. Get there early because there is a lot to do.
I have always heard this was a great zoo and after visiting, it lived up to expectations. We ended up buying a yearly pass because we were so impressed! Lots of places to go to the bathroom and get food. I loved the aquarium and the tunnel under the aquarium was really cool. I loved the big bubble biome where they change the climate inside to be a desert. The habitats were amazing!! Even more cool were the caves underneath where you can check out a lot of animals like bats in their natural habitat. Then you get to trek through a swamp that reminded me of Louisiana with alligators. Pretty spooky. They also have a ton of events like trick or treat fun around Halloween. Only 2.5 hours from KCMO and definitely worth the trip!
Nebraska treasure. Always one of the top zoo's in the world. Always expanding. If you like the zoo, you will love Henry Doorley.
Great for the family... We visited on a particularly hot summer day but found plenty of areas of refuge including air conditioning and "misters" along walking paths. The exhibits are fantastic and unique. This is an award winning world-class zoo for a reason.
I'm rating it 3 stars because a lot of places when I was there was close and the food was super expensive. Other than that the animals were great number of variety.
The construction made it less enjoyable to work around and more than a few animals were missing.
January not the best month. Still some things to see.
I bought zoo passes for my grandkids families, as a family Christmas gift. Easy on me, and the kids loved it!
One of the very best zoos in the United States. The rainforest is amazing! Well worth your time to visit.
They are really upgrading the facilities there to accommodate every corner of the earth...
Easillly one of the most entertaining sites to visit in Omaha. Plenty to do to fill the whole day and plenty of revisit potential
Great zoo! Always something new to see and older and exhibits never get tiring. Hard to see it all in a day. Fun place.
I've been to many zoo's around the country and the Omaha zoo is as good if not better than some of the "world famous" zoo's. My kids are older and still enjoy going to the zoo. There is something for the entire family to enjoy.
So many amazing things to see and do plus they are always building new attractions! I ve been to a lot of zoos, and this is the best I ve ever seen!!!
This is probably one of my top favorite zoos to visit. I love the aquarium tunnel! The only thing I hated was that some of the kids were rude. We had one little boy, maybe 13, they knowingly walked in front of us when I was trying to get a picture of my kid. Then, staring straight at us, he said "Sorry". There was also a line for the gift shop. Otherwise my kids and I loved it.
This was a place that i had been too 30yrs ago and i just had to go again.glad i did.it is a great zoo.if your thinking about going,do it..well wourth the 23$.
A wonderful day long journey through the animal kingdom.
If you're local, a membership is worth the cost. If you're visiting, one day might not be enough to see all the Zoo has to offer. Top-notch facilities
Zoo is well organized and maintained. On busy weekends it is hard to find parking. Navigation app is useful. Enjoy the train ride and chairlift safari.
I've been going to this zoo since 1986 and it's been nice to see the mopprogression of the exhibits over the years.. It's a great place at an affordable price. You can easily tell that the animals are treated very well. I make a trip back to Omaha twice a year just to visit here.
Great place to get your steps in and take the family. You can bring your own wagon and pack a picnic if you want. Lots to see and do. Unfortunately some of the attractions were closed because of covid. But we still had a great time. Can't wait to go back and see the sea lions exhibit.
I had an unpleasant experience at the bird feeding area today. My children purchased a stick to feed the birds and tried to feed the birds. The worker yelled at them to stay on the sidewalk. He screamed so loud it startled everyone. He kept yelling at the kids. This person should not work around children.
A great place to go with a lot of interesting animals.
Such a good place for entertainment all year round. Exhibits are awesome, animals are well looked after and during the summer they have "Late Nights at the Zoo" For over 21's only.
Best Zoo EVER and anywhere. All the new habitats for the animals are phenomenal. Just be prepared for some walking.
Great zoo. I love the enclosed domes. My favorite is the aquarium and especially the penguin and shark exhibits. The only problem was the lack of maps and directions due to the covid 19 social distancing protocols. Overall lovely place to visit.
This is the best zoo my wife and I have ever been to, that includes the San Diego zoo...
This place exhibits are amazing!
We go to the zoo several times a year. Never a disappointing experience
Had the pleasure to attend during member appreciation week, and the zoo didn't disapoint. Tons of patrons yet the staff was polite and constantly cleaning.
Well people were not 6 feet apart and 90 percent of the people were not wearing masks if someone gets covid 19 there and they can. Put the biggest law suit ever and if they die from it bewear law suit city hear you come and don't go to the zoo if i was you
What a great experience. Loved the diversity of nature that you can experience at this zoo.
The Henry Doorly Zoo is a fantastic choice for a family outing. There are plenty of food and drink places just in case you get hungry. The zoo has many exhibits and areas, and is constantly upgrading. Just recently, they built a huge play spot for kids. It includes a gigantic tree house, small ferry, and lots more. Its a great place for parents to take a break and for kids to continue having fun. My own family goes there at least 7 times during the summer/spring, and have gotten the annual pass.
Last time going for the summer, this time I realized one exhibit is closed that has the swamp animals and other kinds. But hopefully next time we go it'll be open
For sure 5 stars if website were upto date. Its nice and with safety guards in place its a wee bit hot. Super cool though. A lot has changed in 33yrs.
Awesome place. Tons to do. Be careful to pay attention to when their winter hours begin and end. Many things are closed or only open during Limited hours during the winter months. We went in early November right after their winter hours begin and spent a whole day there, but still only had time to see half of what was available that day. You could seriously spend several days here seeing everything depending on how much you want to read at each exhibit.
Our family enjoys going to the zoo once a month when the weather is nice. Great place to go.
I am always amazed with our zoo! The staff members are always friendly and courtesy!!! My kids always find new wonders of exploring! It seems like each visit seems like the first with all the amazing attractions that are always added!!!!
This zoo is the best zoo in this area! If you're in Omaha, definitely stop in as you can spend hours on end here.
Feeding the stingrays is my favorite, but we love the kids play area. The staff are friendly and informative. Park is well kept. Love this zoo!
Don't use the interstate exit if coming in from West of the zoo - beat the backlog by taking L street ton13th and come in from the south to beat the traffic.
I wasnt able to go - rest of the family had a great time
Definitely an Awesome Zoo, lots of varieties of animals that I haven't seen at other zoo's before. I was a little disappointed I didn't get to see Polar bears but maybe next time.
The zoo was ok but was extremely overpriced. I've been to ballparks that were cheaper.
Amazing place. Spent 3 hours here and barely made it past the front gates. So much more to explore.
Incredible! Great value and a great day out for all the family. My kids loved it from start to finish and especially enjoyed the giraffes, elephants and gorillas. Start off in Africa and work your way round from there to avoid the large crowds. Book tickets online to save time upon arrival.
Love this place. Chased a five year old to most locations and almost saw it all. Lunch overlooking the forest, fun but very pricey. A definite go to zoo.
Awesome zoo! The nocturnal exhibit in the dome is amazing. I've never seen such an amazing nocturnal exhibit. Go just for that. Also has an aquarium and huge grounds.
Great place for the kiddos an the adults nice walks an good experiences
I have a membership. Take great grandkids often. So much to see that you can't see it all in one trip. Kids love it. Me too
Great zoo. Well worth the drive from anywhere. Go during the week, always busy on the weekend.
Really can't beat this zoo for exhibits, friendly and helpful staff, and walk-ability.
This is one of the best zoos I've ever been do. The desert biome is a beautiful and unique feature that I've never seen in another zoo! Great place for pictures.
The Omaha Zoo is one of the best places to visit, and being a Patron member allows us to partake in great events like a preview of the zoo before it opens to the general public on June 1st.
Kudos to the zoo for finding a way to open during this pandemic and still provide a quality experience!
Awesome price for admission. You don't have to do tons of walking to see animals. You can bring your own food and drink into the zoo if you want. You can buy a sovereign cup and refills are $1.00 even if you bring your cup 2 years later. Train is fun to ride and enjoyable. Sky safari is great, over looking the zoo. Top ranked Zoo! I have had a membership for over 20 years. My family look forward to going several times a year.
A great experience, my kids and I loved it. Probably motorized carts for pregnant women would be great.
Amazing experience. Best zoo I've been to! Can't wait to go back someday!
Despite paying the entrance fee, they charge you for everything. Indeed half of their exhibits are closed or under construction.
One of the best zoos in the country! Suitable for all adults and children. There is plenty to see, making your visit an all day event. Prices are fair for entry and food prices are a bit high which was to be expected. I would reccomend this zoo to everyone!
So many different animals to see. I love the variety and the way they are trying to give the animals more realistic homes. The only draw back is now that they are trying to go with better environments for the animals, it makes it hard to see some of them at times. And a lot of the animals have the option to go to an indoor enclosure which can't be seen by patrons. Be sure to bring your own food and drinks if possible. The prices are very steep.
World s best zoo! Hands down. So many unique and wonderful exhibits. Love the jungle, aquarium, skyfari, train, and more!
This was my first time going to this zoo and it was great! I have paid much more to go to much smaller and underwhelming zoos that also didn't include the aquarium part. It was really beautiful and picturesque.
Love everything. U can interact with animals . Kids ground splash area .. love it for my kids
It has such great scenery, and exotic animals and the train is coooooooool and the ski lift thing is the best part And the peacocks are jus roaming around.
I haven't been been to a quality zoo like this, so it was quite the trip!
I loved everything about it. Something that I particularly enjoyed was the tunnel that went through part of the aquarium and as you walk through it, a bunch of sea life just swim all around you. Just beautiful. (Loved it even if it was a bit crowded. Can't expect it to not be when it is so stinkin' cool)
The Henry Doorly Zoo is constantly updating. We buy a season pass every year for our family and are never disappointed. The animals are well cared for. The grounds are kept nicely. The Skyfari is a fun way to see several animals from a different perspective.
