This is going to sound like a joke, but I assure you its true. I was looking for the TV remote, I checked under the bed skirt and I found a used syringe and needle.

Not the cleanest hotel I've ever been to. Wasn't terrible though.
I was very disappointed even despite others reviews. I didn't have the highest of expectations to start with based on what I had read already, but we stayed there as part of a wedding block. I knew not to expect much, but what really bothered me was that I specifically said I needed a NO SMOKING room, and we obviously were given a room that had in the past been a smoking room, and though it is now non smoking, the room smelled like an ashtray.
The room was also damp which amplified the smell, so we turned on the heat to get the damp out and the heater smelled too, like it was going to start on fire. Aside from that, and minor but still.... we had one washcloth and two towels, our bed was uncomfortable the paint job was terrible and there were burns in the carpet. The fan would not run continuously, turned itself on and off all night and when it was off..... we could hear everything going on in every room and hallway around us, due to the paper thin walls. Worst night I have had in years. Zero stars if that is possible.
You don t get what you pay for. Stay away from this place. Hilton garden inn is just down the street it s less expensive and is way more updated. I m actually surprised they let people stay here.
The conference room was in good order for the event I attended.
Rooms were OK. I feel like the hotel needs to be updated. Never had the chance to try any of their restaurants.
terrible. ugly. disgusting rooms. the room smelled, brunch was terrible. never returning! bed bugs all over the sheets. garbage from previous stays (years ago) hidden under the bed, behind desks. already broken screen, bathroom smelled like vomit and feces. oh and heres the kicker: THEY CHARGED my debit card 1000 dollars for one stay that was paid entirely in cash. currently on the phone with chase bank to get every single penny back. one of the worst experiences of my entire adult life, dealing with a completely incompetent, lying staff and the worst service i've ever seen. I have seen more professionality at a super 8 motel. NEVER staying here again, and will make sure not a single person i know ever does either. This place's lack of morals speaks for itself, and I wont even change the review to two stars when i do get my money back
I wish there was a 0 star rating.... completely awful experience, NEVER AGAIN. businesses like this are criminal organizations and will never receive my business again
I attended a wedding reception in their banquet hall. The resort looks beautiful and very high class. I would definitely consider using their facility in the future for a personal event.
Attended irish feis competiion, clean, professional staff, good layout, easy location to find,
Staff really helped to make sure my event went smoothly
Horrible service, check in time way too long. Cleanliness was awful!
It was a cool place, I just wished the front desk would have told us we needed to pay when we asked where the pool was
Could be a bit more well kept. Halls and stairwells dirty. Most of the hotel needs updating. Rooms were very clean!
Delicious food, fresh, variety of choices, dessert bar/table. I give them
A 10.
Meet here for rotary club each week. Great place, great food.
I attended a wedding at Olympia Resort in June. There was a conference being held there at the same time. Neither event seemed to interfere with the other. The space was large and there was ample parking. Catering was great- our meal was a strawberry salad (amazing) and then skirt steak with green beans, which was flavorful and not overcooked.
Waited an hour to check in! Understaffed! Nice place but only two people at front desk thats only one more than a motel. What a joke
Trying to take advantage of a car group by charging an exorbitant amount to use the lot. Shame on you!
Enjoyed their Sunday bunch. The buffet had a variety of foods that appealed to both adults and kids. Service as was okay, staff took long than normal to remove used plates from the table. I'd return to have their brunch
Staff was fine, tv in room had electrical problems, general condition of facility needs help just look at main entrance sign. DO not ride in hotel van, steering was way over 2" minimum play in wheel. Eleven of us were relieve once we got out.
clean, great service, enjoyed the bar and the comedian.
Quality rooms, subpar food and educational facilities.
Very nice . Service excellent! Great place to stay or just rent a hall for event.
Very poorly maintained. Peeling walls, dirty. The only thing that is nice is the indoor pool itself & the friendly staff.
Nice place, rooms weren't the nicest. Bar was pretty nice
Stay far far away. At first glance you might think the cheap rate at this hotel makes it worth staying there. You would be wrong. I had a block of rooms at the Olympia for my wedding this past weekend and everything was TERRIBLE. Let s start with the free shuttle they said they would provide to my wedding party to get them from the hotel to the church for my ceremony. 2 days prior to the event the event coordinator contacted me to confirm the time the shuttle was needed. I confirmed with her between 12:30-12:40 pm. I left with my parents for the church thinking my wedding party was on the shuttle not far behind me. WRONG. The shuttle time was never communicated to the front desk or the driver which resulted in my wedding party showing up 45 min late to the church and almost missing the ceremony. I was told repeatedly there was nothing they could do and that the person who was responsible was no longer employed with them. So, half of my wedding party piled into cars while the other half waited around from a trashy van to get them to church late. Strike 1. Then, I hear from several guests about all of the issues in their rooms. The hotel is pet friendly for a $10 charge. A guest of mine showed up to check in on time with the dog before the ceremony only to be turned away for 30 min while their room was made up. They came back 30 min later and were told the room was still not ready. They can t leave a dog in a hot car so they missed my ceremony while the hotel took their time to get them a room. Strike 2. My grandparents showed up in 95 degree weather to no AC in their room. Strike 3. A highly allergic guest had a nest of wasps in her room and was CHARGED $20 to have it removed. Strike 4. Another guest walked in to a room without a bed in it and had to have a cot rolled in. Strike 5. And now, 2 days after my wedding I have had dozens of guests calling me telling me the rate $109 +$12 tax ($121 total) is not what was charged rather all kind of charges in the amounts of $278, $139, $157, etc. are showing up on their accounts. I would caution everyone to stay far away from this hotel especially if you are using it to accommodate guests for your wedding. The cherry on top of all of this is that I have emailed them 4 times to try and resolve these issues and left voicemails of which have not been returned. This place is a literal hell hole. Stay away.
Looks are nice, as well as the staff, but building is long in the tooth and needs some work
Staff was good, wish I knew I could of parked near my room otherwise I would have, PLEASE RE-ATTACH ROUND TABLE in Vending Area as it's not attached at all & someone could get injured, my tablet of paper only had one sheet so I used cardboard back, door sticks 210 or 218 I think, otherwise ok
Olympia is fine.
The guest rooms are quite outdated and rundown, and even a little gross.
The staff is very friendly.
The price is decent.
Seems like a lot of people may live there full time and hang out all day long.
Went for a social event. Olympia served dinne that was awsome
Great Thanksgiving meal. Good price, wide selection of food, nice service.
Rented the boardroom. Good service and good location.
Rooms ok, clean, seemed like friends had a tough time checking in but everything was normal for us. Not bad. Nothing fancy but no real complaints.
No. No. No.
I am by no means a germophobe but good grief. Cobwebs in every corner, including between the headboard and wall (I only know that because the mattress and headboard are pulled away from the wall) paint peeling, tub and toilet dirty/grimey. My daughter was running around barefoot in our room and when I put her on the bed to change her clothes her feet were so dirty. The pool was fine as it was a pool, but everything is just so dirty and dated and it's simply unsettling. Daddy long legs and their little webs on the ground.
I dunno, I'm just not impressed at all and it put my anxiety through the roof and hampered my weekend.
All around terrible. Tv is small. Ran out of towels, overpriced food that took forever, charged for the hot tub that was broken and failed to tell us until we complained how cold it was and already paid. This is no resort, I've seen motel 6 that are better
Does not even deserve a one star. Dirty, outdated hotel, smelly. Hopefully it will get sold or bulldozed soon. There are much nicer places in the area to stay, avoid this if you are smart. Check news articles online about all the problems there. Don't give them your money.
Absolutely disgusting. I stayed here with my grandparents for a week and was disgusted by the lack of cleanliness. There was blood on my pillow case, mold in the bathroom walls, the shower head was all crusty, invested with spiders, walls have weird black smudges on them, and the sheets had weird stains on them. Do not come here!!! It is a health hazard for you and your family!!!
Staff are very slow and not friendly at noon in the bar area.
Great amenities for your stay. Be prepared to be pampered. Popular for corporate meetings.
Went for a social event. Olympia served dinne that was awsome
Wouldn't recommend. Old and outdated. Spa is also old, rooms have old box TV s and the carpet in the hallway looks dirty. Customer service is ok, staff is not aware of promotions. I will not be staying here ever again unless they did major rennovations and followed what they promote online and brochures.
It was a nice place but the decor was outdated and the walls and ceilings had some crackers in them
Good food, good staff, reasonably priced. Will definitely go back again.
It was fine for the area, it was clean but run down. I was there for a wedding so it was acceptable as I was drunk.
Good food, good staff, reasonably priced. Will definitely go back again.
I booked a double queen room for myself and my maid of honor the night before my wedding, just as a girlfriends getaway before the big day. For the amount of money I paid to stay in this room, I'm still shocked at the low quality of the rooms. Our ceiling had visible water damage, along with what I'm convinced was mold. The wall behind one of the beds had a large bow in it, which although we made jokes about there being a body hidden in the wall, concerned me throughout the night. The fire alarm went off for a good 20 minutes around 9pm and someone just yelled down the hall 'there's no fire'; not even a hotel worker, another guest who called the desk. There were 2 women in this hotel room and we were given 1 partial role of toilet paper, with no additional roles to be found. We ran out in the morning and just had to wait until we got where we were going. The front desk employee had horrible people skills, gave me absolutely no information, just 2 keys and that was it. And there was a very bright light on the entire night right outside of our window, so I got less sleep than expected. I cannot believe what I got for how much I paid. What a ripoff!
It was for dart leagues and the bartender was awful and slow
Event was fantastic! Food was amazing, awesome accomodations.
Very dated, needs improvment very badly, mold in the bathrooms, rooms very nasty, was supposed to stay for a couple of weeks but after 3 days we found a different hotel. The restrant was ok but very pricey and always out of stuff. This hotel needs somone to show them how to treat people. Not very friendly. Ut seemed as if we were an inconvieance being there. I hope this helps anyone thinking of stayin here, good luck.
The beds are comfortable, rooms are relatively clean, the facilities are nonsmoking so the rooms smell great, not at all musty, and the staff is courteous. But the facilities are also dated. With renovations I'd give it a higher rating.
Outdated antiquated and lacking resort feel. No "included" extras. Comfort Suites next town over less expensive and better service and more pluses.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Could use a major facelift though.
Great place to stay for a weakened. Quiet and relaxing. Will defiantly come back.
Heater in my room was not temperature controlled. Either it was 80 degrees or I had to turn off heat and freeze. The ventilation fan in bathroom didn't work. I was here for convention. The walls were not noise proof and it was difficult to hear in my conference room due to loud speakers in neighboring rooms. The food was mediocre at best at the restaurant.
Attended a wedding here and it was lovely. The food was delicious and the decor was very tasteful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice wedding spot.
My cousin was married here, had the reception, cocktail party and dinner party all at this location and it was perfect. There were 4 weddings on this day at the same time, we couldn't even tell. The staff was very attentive, the food was good and location was beautiful with plenty of space for whatever size wedding you are going to have. Being able to stay here in the hotel overnight was an absolute plus for out of town guests and party animals. This place is highly recommended!
Great place. A lot of facilities (pools, bar, spa, etc.) Staff is nice. More spread out as a flat facility than a vertical building. Careful about picky surprise fees on how you leave your room.
Felt like we were in the basement. Very run-down, bad patchwork on the walls ( if even fixed at all). We could almost see outside from one of the holes. Spiders on the bath tub, cob webs on the fan unit ( where the hole is). Pool area shows water damage, no towels provided, just dirty all around. Very disappointed...
Nice pool area and short drive to downtown Oconomowoc bars and pubs
