Lively music pub with bands every night of the week. Get in there a little early though because this place fills up quick with the nighttime crowd. Don't forget to wander upstairs to The Frisky Whiskey Bar while you are there as well, also a nice place for a drink.

Best pub in Cork by far, best irish pub I have ever seen, run with absolute love. Accuracy in every single detail, warm and comfy, with a strong irish style imprinting, live music all the times, often traditional music and dance. Great food (especially soups) served with love by superfriendly staff, so much comfortable and warm. Best smoking area ever. Two floors of absolute class.

We went into the Oliver Plunkett for a quick bit to eat 2 days before Christmas, we we met by the most polite guy called Rory, who found us a table even though the place looked so busy. The atmosphere was fantastic so was the food. We would definitely return again.

This bar i had visited last year . and i must admit i enjoyed it very much i liked the food . and the relaxed atmosphere . it was recommended by members of my family, who go in there on a regular basis but this time the bar was let down by a certain member of staff, who has a reputation for being very rude . which i experienced first hand . he has a nik name of horrid Henry . i don't know his real name of cause, but he is known in the bar for being very rude . he placed not one but two signs on the table which stated that the table could be removed at any time , which i red and put aside as i thought we wasn't in the way and the bar wasn't over crowded . and took no notice .three quarters of an hour later he came back at which time the bar had still the same amount of people in the bar . picked up the two signs and put them back on the table ,and said he was the manager and if we moved the signs again he would remove the table immediately . because he spoke to myself and my family very rudely i picked up the signs and put them back on the ledge behind us . he then pick up our drinks, fingers in the drinks put them on the same ledge. he then snatched the table and took it out side to the street . my uncle followed him outside to reason with him but he was very arrogant and wouldn't listen .
would i go here again . i would like to say yes , but not to be treated so badly and be embarrassed in public .

Super cool bar all made of wood and decorated with musical instruments, very typical English, there are lots of beers to choose from and at night they do live concerts with which to enjoy a very complete dinner for a small price, I think it was the place that I liked most about Ireland, very respectful and fun people with a good waitress service at your service.

Super slow service, but fast food delivery. Like faster than getting drinks, it was weird. Be ready to be packed into small tables alongside other groups, but if you're friendly they are friendly! Our group rated the food 3/5 as well, it was good but seemed similar quality to that of an American chain restaurant.

This two storey dining and drinking "emporium" isn't quite my cup of tea, but it contains a hidden gem. Upstairs, there is an open air courtyard, with a turf fire, and a bar, which acts as a smoking area. It would be a gem, except the bar is unmanned during the afternoon (you can bring a drink up from downstairs), and it can be difficult to get a drink even when open, if the adjacent bar is busy. However, it is still worth a visit...and it does get busy quickly...so go early, if not often...
Downstairs is focused on food, and is usually busy...and it does have outside canopies and tables at street level for coffee, beer, smoking and people watching...which can be fun in summer as it catches the sun for early morning. It also does some form of music, but I'll leave that for others to explore...
