Horribly slow. Took 1 hour 20 minutes for food to arrive then 25 minutes for dessert to arrive before we decided not to wait any longer. Bad service trendy waste of time.
We didn't recieve service on the patio, after 10 minutes went back to the hostess for a table. Atmosphere is casual & presentation of the bacon wrapped dates was appealing. Priced well, especially for Scottsdale.
I visited Olive & Ivy with a group of friends for dinner while in town and will come definitely return. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing and the place has a really cool vibe. I ordered a filet with mushrooms and it was one of the best I ve ever had! The server was so accommodating when I mentioned an allergy and concern with the side dish that came with it and I really appreciated it. Wine was good too! Looking forward to returning.
Had a group event here. The food was so good. Had the port tenderloin. Service was great. Really good atmosphere. Too bad I didn't get to try the gelato!
So disappointed . Was expecting so much more. The focaccia and pesto was good, the salad was fresh and crisp, with a light oregano vinegarette. Nothing special on the Ceasar salad. Then our entrees arrived, tender scallops on runny polenta with heavily salted brussel sprouts, chicken with crimini mushrooms andYukon potatoes with a heavy citrus sauce is the house specialty. Definitely a more meat and potatoes meal than gourmet Mediterranean dining. Most of the stars go to the excellent wait staff. Atmosphere is lovely intimate low lighting, but so noisy you almost had to yell across the table.
The complimentary bread and pesto was amazing. The sea bass was also very good and the meatballs did the trick. Waiting in the courtyard for service before dining was a little slow but wasn't enough to ruin the experience. Definitely worth your time and right on the water.
Omg! Such good food. Wife got the veal ravioli which was light and delicious not to creamy with a white wine reduction. I got the lamb patty gyro with hummus & tzatziki which was tasty and shareable.
I made a reservation at Olive & Ivy two weeks in advance on Open Table to be seated on the patio for dinner while my family was in town from Ohio visiting me for my birthday. When I arrived at the restaurant to check in at the hostess stand I was told, very rudely, that my reservation had been moved inside, and they would not accommodate my patio reservation (again, made 2 weeks in advance). I was told that they had called me, (they did not), to explain that call in reservations take precedence over Open Table reservations. I was told that if I would like to sit on the patio it would be a 2.5 hour wait. The two young women at the hostess stand were rude, aggressive, and unapologetic. I decided to cancel my reservation and leave. On my way out, the manager, Joel, caught me leaving. He apologized and confirmed that no one had in fact called me to tell me that they were not going to honor my reservation. Joel then offered to sit my party (of 6) at a table inside and we said okay because we were already there and were hungry. The hostess stomped over and threw menus at us without saying a word. Needless to say, we left, and will not be returning. I am amazed at the treatment we received. I have never had a more disappointing experience. Using Open Table has never been an issue and I would caution anyone against going to Olive & Ivy.
This is hands down the best place for brunch. If the weather is nice I prefer to sit outside on the patio, but the inside in nice as well. If you are going with a large party be sure to get a reservation which is pretty easy to grab on Open Table. Be sure to try some of their cocktails.
I had the Mediterranean chicken salad, it was a great choice, a good size portion. I usually eat a fair amount, being 6 foot 180, and the salad filled me up. My brother got the Sea Bass, he really liked it, but I think I would have been hungry, it was a smaller portion.
Nice ambience .... great service !!!! We ordered two different wine by glass and one came out corked so we told the wait person and he changed it promptly ... then we ordered a rib eye as a main and asked for medium cook, again it turned out medium well or even a bit more, so we asked for a change. The other main was perfectly cooked and served though. Then right after the manager came to us and apologized for what happened. This was the first time and we expected a bit better from the kitchen but they fixed them quickly and offered us a glass of wine.
We will come back to try differently things for sure.
Fresh seafood and culinary design. This spot is spacious with a nice layout that still offers privacy. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Fine dining without the pressure of dressing up. Casual wear is just fine. Prices are decent for meals. Portion servings are not huge but filling.
This is our go to restaurant whenever we're in Scottsdale. The food, wait staff, atmosphere and location are all excellent. Indoor and outdoor seating right on the Waterfront, casual dining or self-serve, it is simply THE best place to eat and socialize in the valley. We have eaten here many times and have yet to be disappointed. Our dinner was pleasant and enjoyable! The service was high level and attentive. The environment was upbeat and current with a trendy vibe. The food was excellent overall. The only complaint was an over done steak, a bone in ribeye!
We had a great birthday dinner. From the bruschetta to the pork tenderloins to the amazing peanut butter moose, the food we top notch. The ambiance and service was good, if just a touch below the food quality.
I recommend everyone who visits this restaurant to get a reservation! We had a 15 minute wait with a reservation. Came here on a busy Saturday morning with a group of friends.
I was starving when we got here. I ordered the Kale Salad with chicken, I loved it. The amount of dressing provided on the salad was just right, it was not soupy nor was it dry. The kale tasted very fresh and was not bitter and dry.
By the way, the complimentary bread and the pesto sauce was delicious, ask for seconds because the service was great!!
My Husband and I went down this last weekend to find a home as we are moving to Scottsdale. I chose to surprise my husband with a dinner, flowers and some bubbly, which Steve handled. He made sure i did not have to run out for anything! I phoned and was asked to fill out a form which was super easy and had Steve the manager get hold of me. The atmosphere is amazing, friendly staff who go out of their way to make your night special! highly recommend, food is really yummy too.
I am Glad the first Restaurant we went to in our new home will be our new spot! Can not wait to return. Thank you Olive & Ivy team!
Very high end restaurant, known for the best quality service and food. The service was lacking at our table. The scallops and gelato were phenomenal. They forgot our salad, and to ask how we wanted our steak done. We had to have them make it again, and then the steak was much better.
Olive and Ivy is such an awesome experience! The food and service are amazing! The Ambiance inside the restaurant is such a cool classic Vibe meets modern fine dining. This particular location has super high ceilings and excellent views of the Riverwalk in Scottsdale. Highly suggest reservations and sit on the patio if you can. All their flatbreads are excellent and their craft cocktails are worth the splurge!
I came here with four other people. The food was delicious, everyone really liked what they ordered. Their alcoholic drinks were made very well too. The staff was courteous and we received our food very quickly after ordering. I would definitely come back to this place.

Upscale, yet casual. I did not get picture of the food. I was in a slight rush as it was a lunch break from work. But the service was fantastic and very attentive. I felt that the experience was all about my family and the food. I did not worry too much about the environment or the service. Which is why the food was so enjoyable. I would recommend the date wrapped in bacon. It does come with a proper sauce under it. So if you are sensitive to spicy, think of removing it. The Reuben was very tasty, a little greasy from the butter that it was fried in. The soup of the day was a little too earthy for my wife.i thought it was ok.
I have to say service at your restaurant is sub-par, 2 Stars. We sat at the bar 3/17/19 with my husband for appetizers and drinks. Not only were we ignored, but the lady next to us was also ignored. The bartenders were ambivalent/unattentive to customer service. It s very disheartening for a bartender not to know or observe when one needs another drink. Management may want to address this with their Sunday afternoon crew.
However, kudos to the kitchen, the appetizer were very great. I'll give them 5 Stars!
Had a great private dining experience. Food was well prepared and service was attentive. Good selection of wines and creative cocktails with a trendy atmosphere.
I'm not the Scottsdale type, but this spot is legit. The vibe was really good- lowkey chill, but hype at the same time. The food and drinks were mad delish and the music was GOOD! I went there on a Friday nite so not sure about other nites, but I'm sure they just as GOOD.
Best Mediterranean we ve ever had, better than NY, better than Rome, better than Florence. Ask for Chris, best waiter experience in a long time- he knows the right groupings- dinner in heaven.
