Initially everything started out great. The service was good and the waiter was awesome. The salad I ordered even tasted great until I found a huge glob of fur in my salad. I found it when I took a bite and it was in my mouth with a piece of bone. I've never experienced such a horrible thing in all my years of dining out. The manager was very gracious and our food was taken care of but the experience of having the fur of a dead animal in my mouth has ruined this potentially great place for me. I will never return to this restaurant. I just hope I don't get sick from having animal fur in my mouth along with the salad I ate. Worst experience ever!!

Copious amounts of energy in the air. Especially on a Friday or Saturday night. The food is fresh and savory. There is no coquettish behavior with the employees, they are professional. Highly recommend
Like other reviewers have said, I expected a more intimate setting and was surprised to see something so large and bustling. Not a bad thing, just a mismatched expectation-reality thing.
We started with some bruschettas. All good! Especially loved the mozzarella and apple caponata ones. For my main I had the big eye tuna--gorgeously done. Nice big chunks of meat that were seared nicely, on a bed of couscous and yumminess. I tried a bit of my dad's spicy pasta. SO spicy. Impressively spicy, really.
The desserts were also great, and I have a hard time picking my favorite. Perhaps the coconut cakes in that soupy coconut sauce. I didn't get to try the chocolate cake but it looked really good.
We were in the back room which offered us *some* respite from the noise of the restaurant (a great thing when they bring in an actual DJ and you're just trying to eat dinner!), but it also offered a blast of cold air each time a server went outside to help one of the diners sitting under a heatlamp. Oh well.
Expensive and leave you hungry. My dish was tasty but left me hungry. My spouse ordered chicken and was disappointed it didn't really have a side with it.she didn't enjoy eating chunk of meat by itself.
A great spot whether you need a quick service sandwich on your lunch break or you'd like to sit down and enjoy a meal. They have two sides offering both styles of service. The destructed lasagna was phenomenal and the drinks were incredible. Best mojito i had in town
The Iced Tea was excellent. Our sever was great. The hummus was good. The food was excellent. They allow you to bring pets in the take out section. I will definitely return for that fantastic feature. More places should allow our pets which are family to us. I plan on returning. All the food looked delicious. The open kitchen was clean and organized.
Food was great - but it felt like we were having dinner in the middle of a night club with how loud the music was... Not very romantic when you have to yell across the table!
Great place in the heart of Scottsdale fashion Square. I decided to stop by to see what the hype was all about. Went on a day that they were serving brunch and had some specialty is going on. The restaurant itself was really nice really clean and was very modern. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. The wait staff came right over and was able to take our order and bring out the food promptly. We had A bartender by the name of Miranda and she was amazing. She had great recommendations for the brunch, and gave us some healthy food options. She was also able to make us some specialty drinks that were not On the menu and went above and beyond with her service.
We ordered the cinnamon French toast, the breakfast bowl, and the crabcakes Benedict. They were all seasoned just right, and the servings were nice and plentiful. The flavor to all of them were amazing, the healthier options definitely filled you up but you did not feel so full and heavy from the food that you had to be rolled out. It was a great recommendation and a great choice.
The ambiance is great, they have TVs at the bar where you could watch your favorite sporting events anytime a day. I also bring you out some freshly made bread with some delicious pesto sauce as a starter. If you ask they will definitely bring you out more. Definitely stop by grab a delicious bites, some great drinks and definitely ask for Miranda and she will treat you right!
Wow...what a fun restaurant. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lively, and out door facilities are very enjoyable. Definitely recommend for a date or social outing.
There was a small wait so we opted to sit at the bar. Our bartender was very nice and she was knowledgeable. The food tasted fresh and delicious. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. Drinks were perfectly made.. great experience I'd visit again.
Atmosphere was delightful and cozy in a fashionable part of town. The food was very good. They seem to have a penchant for wine but we had cocktails and beer and found a nice selection. We tried the bruschetta, scallops, and sea bass. The scallops were my favorite, but everything was a hit. Be sure to get the complimentary focaccia with the pesto. The pesto is delicate and delicious. Service was great.
Deconstructed lasagna!! I order a lot of lasagna when I eat out. It's always served as a loaf of noodles, pasta sauce and cheezy goodness. Not here. You get a lazy-man's version with small lasagna noodles tossed in a bowl with Bolognese sauce poured over them. Sprinkle on a minimal amount of cheese and then baked briefly to melt it. Not good. Although the Salmon Lox bruschetta was very good.(overall 2 stars).
Came here for drinks and appetizers. The place is really big and has outdoor seating with fire pits. The drinks were great and so was the bread with pesto they give you! We got two flatbreads, both were good. Would definitely come back!
First time eating here and it was s great experience. Beautiful decor and fun vibe. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Artichoke truffle flatbread was delicious as well as the wild mushroom pasta. Great martini also. My wife enjoyed her sea bass. Prices were quite reasonable for such an upscale place.
We went there for brunch and asked one of the waiters take a picture of our group.. He said NO I can t do it and walked away.. Racist.. food is also not so great.
I had a wonderful experience at Olive and Ivy and most of it was due to Jill Davis who was my server and took special time and attention to make sure that I ordered exactly what I was wanting. She was attentive and professional and took time to make me feel very welcome in the restaurant. In addition to that my food was absolutely excellent. I had scallops that were served over a creamed corn and it was wonderful with a bacon drizzle. I eat scallops everywhere I go and they were cooked to perfection good seer on the outside and tender on the inside I would suggest the peanut butter mousse to anybody who went there it was absolutely delicious. I ve been to Olive and Ivy Approximately 6 times over the past seven years (because I m from out of town) and have never been disappointed but this time was especially magnificent in-service, presentation and delivery of excellent food. Thank you very much to all the staff at Olive and Ivy who made this possible.
My wife and I were visiting from NH. We stopped by at lunchtime. We both had the lamb gyro- EXCELLENT! The lamb is ground and pan sauted like a pancake; unlike any gyro I've previously eaten. We would both highly recommend this restaurant. Very interesting menu selections.
We have been there a few times. First time though we were not so pleased. We got served a glass of wine in a dirty glass. It had prints on it so maybe the waitress. No excuse for the dirty rim though clearly one that got by. I've been to many restaurants for a nice place like this no excuse for the waitress to smell the milk and tell me it wasn't dirty. All your lights need cleaning they are in need of maintenance. Enjoyed my waiter very much. Bar girl ? We will return just a little disappointed on this trip.
LOVE THIS PLACE!! We always sit on the patio with a pitcher of sangria and enjoy the free amazing pesto sauce with bread before our lunches or dinners. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! :)
Nice ambiance. Busy and lively place. We had a DJ mixing live tonight. Food is good. Service a little slow. Prices are middle range but in line with food quality.
Been here each time Im in town, love the outdoor seating and the brunch menu rocks! Table side mimosas also a plus. Did I mention the food is awesome, oh and try the cinnamon roll.. You wont be disappointed
Atmosphere inside and outdoors, food healthy and tasty at same time. Even in chill weather you could enjoy outdoors bc of heaters and fireplaces. Lunch for us was mediterranian chicken salad and lobster soup, bruschetta w/proschute and fig spread. They treat you to fluffy bread with delicious pesto dip to start with
Olive&Ivy never disappoints! The patio is furnished with comfortable seating and perfectly placed for conversation. Tapas and wine list are paired wonderfully. One of Scottsdale's finest restaurants.
Went to have a nice brunch with my husband, What a disappointment, save your time and money and go somewhere else, server recommended the French Toast for $12.00 and I specifically asked her if it was shareable, she stated yes it s a large portion, You can bet I was surprised when one small piece of French toast showed up on a bare plate no syrup no nothing but a spoonful of jam and 1 teaspoon of butter! I thought she had the kitchen split it and they forgot the other plate! It was the most ridiculous meal I d ever been served! Talked to the manager but he didn t seem to be bothered about it, so I won t bother to ever return and tell friends and family to skip this restaurant as well
