We only found this place on the recommendation of friends ( it doesn t appear in may of the guidebooks ) What a treat. We were a little uncertain as we approached as the road was unmade however once we had arrived we had a wonderful welcome and breathtaking views.
We all really enjoyed the wines ( my particular favourite was the Chardonnay, which thank goodness was not chilled within an inch of its life so we could still enjoy the taste )
We were given a generous platter of crackers , cheeese and olives. Thank you to Stefan and team. We would definitely visit again. Glad to hear that they import to the UK

Sorry did not enjoy the room temperature whites. This was not a very welcoming tasting, glad we only opted for the three whites....for R50.......wont be back and won't recommend either given the 1.5 km gravel road to get there.no snacks were offered even for a fee....??

This has to be one of the top wine estates I have visited. Excellent wines, fair prices, awesome complimentary olives, Stefan knows his stuff, 5 out of 5 - will definitely return. Well done to all of you.

Living in the winelands and having done tasting at most of the local farms, I can vouche that Oldenburg is the most refreshing experience the Winelands offers. They have something special here and the wine selection according to my wine-making partner is of the best SA has to offer.
Best part - our fantastic host Amos. Well done!

It is very clear from the moment that you enter Oldenburg wine farm, that this is something different and very special.

The feeling you get from the way in which staff serve you, to the way in which the grounds have been prepaired, is that of passion and care for their wine farm and wines.

This, combined with the exquisite quality of the wines that are presented, makes for an experience that will never be forgotten and well worth any length of travel.

Oldenburg was suggested by another wine farm as a "must visit", which was such an intriguing notion that we just had to go. Situated in the Banhoek Valley, it most probably has the best setting and view of any wine farm I visited. And the wines were exquisite. For a pittance they present you with a flight of seven wines and then bring you some snacks as well. The staff were very professional and well-trained. But the wines were the star. Excellent whites and reds for every palate. I will come again. And again.

Enjoy some serene countryside in this out of the way winery. You must travel slowly on the pothole-laden entry road, but your reward is tranquil countryside. The wine selections are sure to intrigue your senses, however, the cheese offered is not necessarily designed as a compliment for any specific option. The tasting room and complex are a mix of modern high design and country chic.

Excellent service! They make you feel special and their wine is amazing. Thank you Stefan Reinmuth, you made us feel special, taught us about wine and made us come back, after leaving to go somewhere else. Your treatment was amazing!

Oldenburg Vineyards is a family run winery that makes some of the best wines in the region. The large open tasting room has a gorgeous view out over the vineyards and the mountains. It s worth coming for the scenery but it s really the vintages that will take your breath away.

A beautiful property with 200 years of history in Cape Dutch style, 600m2, 6 suites, 2 Twins rooms, breathtaking and modernly equipped kitchen, living rooms with fireplaces, housekeeper / butler and waking up to a unique landscape. I just can't imagine a better scenario for wine tasting anywhere in the world. Between the mountains and vineyards of Stellenbosch, the winery's residence is the "must" of hospitality and exclusivity. The wines? Monovarietals and premium blends 100% produced by @oldenburgwines

What a beautiful setting. Beautiful wines. Stefan gave us a wonderful tasting. One of the best cellars we have visited - and have visited many in the past!!! Their Syrah, Cab Sauv, Merlot and Cab Franc were excellent. The Grenache is full bodied!!! Unusual but delicious. Well worth a visit!!!!

Outstanding experience recently. Stefan was top notch in sharing information but the wines....WOW. Never before have I been so impressed by a a range of wines across the board. Never got to taste the Rondekop range but cannot wait to head back and do so. Great job to all.

Absolutely beautiful farm and surroundings (without a doubt worth the short bit of dirt road required to get there) and exceptional wines. Being served by Siwe in the tasting room was an absolute delight and made the experience all the more enjoyable - she was a treat!

This is one of the best tasting rooms in SA. Fantastic wines and great professional service. The wines are some of the best in South Africa, views stunning and experience world class. Wines served in Riedel glasses, experience top notch.

Gorgeous views. Great wines. Novel way of presenting their complimentary snacks with the wine tasting (the cheese specifically). Would have given five stars, except for the last 900 meters of gravel road you need to cover to get to the tasting room

Wine tasting is served with cheese and crackers, the wine tasting was great and a lot of background was offered which I found excellent. Service was just a bit slow at the beginning, other than that I would highly recommend this place.

A bit off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. Nestled in a natural amphitheatre, the views and mountain backdrop are stunning. The tasting room is elegant and the staff know their wines. The cheese and olive platter that comes with a standard tasting rounds off the experience.

Gorgeous scenery, excellent wines, beautiful view, and they provide you with some delicious bites as part of your tasting fee. Favorite winery that we visited. Highly recommend! Will return on next trip.

Breathtaking scenery, surrounded by mountains in the heart of Stellenbosch. I highly recommend this wine estate for the scenery, hospitality and extremely good tasting wine. Stefan is very knowledgable and I loved seeing his passion for wine throughout the tasting. A big thumbs up to Stefan and the owners of Oldenburg Vineyards for an amazing experience!

An oasis of calm and relaxation!

An oasis of calm and relaxation!

Beautifully situated, with a view of the mountainous landscape, we spent the morning there.
Apparently, the bumpy road to the winery deters many, so that the number of visitors was very manageable, which is positive!

As Wine Tasting I had the 8 wines of the Oldenburg Vineyards Series, consisting of 2 white wines and 6 red wines.
There was also a small cheese snack with a few olives and crackers. Incl. We paid 2 bottles of water (Still and Sparkling) for a Tasting R 200.
A fair price, as it should turn out later in the day (see my review of Adelaide de Graff).
The wines were of high quality and consistently convinced me!
The lady who did the tasting with us was very nice.
From my point of view a wine tasting to be rated positively !!!
