Food was great, Emily was our waitress. Although we were the only customers waiting after being seated it took so long I had to ask for a waitress. Oddly Emily had made several stops at the table next to us. What was that all about?

I found this place a bit overrated. Menu options were diverse and I had a tough time choosing, because I wanted to sample them all. Once my pie arrived (half Four Cheese and half Mona Lisa) I found that it looked way better than it tasted. We also were seated by the *very loud* kitchen and struggled to catch the attention of our waitress several times.

Old Venice Pizza Co. is hands down the best restaurant I've ever experienced, and I've lived and traveled broadly across the US and Europe. While not perfect--sometimes short-staffed, recent menu changes--this restaurant is a winner, and Oxford, MS is lucky to have it.

Had a 6 top with a baby when we were here. They had no problem accommodating us with so many and a high chair. Did not enjoy being directly in front of the door though. We ordered the Bruschetta appetizer and 3 different large pizzas. The pizza was very good. Had the four cheese with garlic. Very good. Cant speak for the other two pizzas but they looked very good as well. The Bruschetta however was very tasty but was VERY skimpy on the the toppings. 6 pieces on a platter and the last one on both ends had almost nothing on them. Would not say anything if they simply put more on there. I'm sure I will return at some point though for more of the pizzas.

I've been to Old Venice several times in the past, and it has always been very, very good. The service is always great, the food is delicious, and you just can't beat the prices.

My wife and I went here for our 2 year anniversary tonight, and this was the worst experience I've had at any restaurant in Oxford. To start off, the hostess that sat us was wearing practically nothing: some short, backless dress that left VERY little to the imagination. The bread that they bring out to you was burned beyond being edible. We ordered mozzarella sticks, those came out burned but we were able to eat those.
My wife ordered the shrimp and crab carbonara - her dish was luke warm at best, and it was as if they had taken the crab directly from the fridge and put it on her plate. It didn't have any flavor in the sauce, either.

I ordered the chicken fettuccine - it was cold. Some parts of it were slightly warm, but for the most part it was cold. The alfredo sauce was like taking a mouth full of heavy whipping cream. The chicken was overcooked. It was awful.

The waitress got the manager, and the manager took care of us in terms of the bill. However, here is the worst part of it. Our bill came to $11.43. When I received the receipt for my card, the waitress had tacked on an extra dollar to that. Never have I ever experienced such dishonesty during a restaurant experience. We may never go back.

I love the food here but the service is very hit and miss. Our last lunch visit had us waiting almost an hour for our food despite the resturant being partly empty. Our server checked in rarely and gave no opportunity to order extra drinks or an appetizer. If I eat here from now on it will just be take out.

The bread served upon being seated was delicious, the steak sandwich was awful. The crawfish egg rolls were okay. The lasagna tasty but cold in the the center. The highlight was the service! Allie was our server & she deserves 5 stars for a job done superbly!

The upstairs of this place is called the Summit. This place is a small bar with a ski lodge decor. There is a small patio that looks out towards the square. The pizza is Napoletana style. The Buffalo Chicken pizza is my favorite. They had some awesome specials for a Saturday. $10 bottomless Mich Ultra. The bartenders are nice guys and very entertaining.

I love the menu at Old Venice, but the service at this location has left a lot to be desired in the times we have been. They have been super slow even on light traffic days (compared to service received in Starkville and Tupelo) and last time, I spent half the meal with an empty glass.

Absolutely try the crawfish rolls if you can't decide on appetizers, and even though I miss the Mardi Gras being on the menu, there are plenty of other choices to make up for it.

Nice

Food quality slipping. I once thought of it as one of the premier places to eat on the square, but food quality - the bread, pizza dough, and all ingredients in general - seem to be coming from another planet. Not even close to the quality last year.
