I'll answer the same way every time; never had a bad meal there.
This will always be one of my favorite places to eat. Amazing food, and wonderful servers!
Great home style cooking. Generous portions. Friendly staff
My favorite restaurant in Arkansas. The best waitresses. The best atmosphere. The best cooks. Every time I eat there I love it even more
Good atmosphere. GREAT food a0nd plenty of it. Must visit just fir the history.
A local favorite that has been around forever. Breakfast is amazing here and it's served anytime. Most things are good for lunch and dinner. Great lunch specials. The only thing I would complain about is that they use instant mashed potatoes and canned veggies. The Old South dressing is a very garlicky and delicious salad dressing. We get some to take home and dip crackers in it.
I will start with the service! Everyone was super friendly and very attentive! Everyone enjoyed the food, but I would say that the mashed potatoes were not my favorite with my roast beef plate. Ranch dressing was super good! Biscuits and gravy was delicious, too. My son enjoyed the Philly Steak. The pepper jack burger was yummy, but he recommends a glass of milk. Haha
my family has eaten here for many years. it is the best food around in the state and we have never had anything that wasn't the best food in every way. Highly recommended
They don't have chicken liver and that's the only thing worth eating at a kfc the rest of there chicken is dry and nasty tasting
Very good old style diner. Well worth the detour off I40 like we did.
Ended up paying $8 for a spinach salad with cranberries and mandarin oranges. No chicken. Expected a reduced price but it was non-negotiable. . Service was amazing.
We were visiting from out of state and looking for a sit-down place for breakfast. We were happy we found this place! I had 2 eggs done just right, hash browns, 3 pcs thick cut good flavored bacon...and a large flaky biscuit. My better half had the biscuits and a large bowl of gravy. We enjoyed every bite!! Our waiter was friendly and available for additions. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!!
All four of us had a great meal and the waitress was exceptional
The last 2 times I have came here I have had VERY bad experiences with customer service. We got a waitress who was very rude to us, she kept ignoring us when we needed her, she had a really bad attitude and got loud with me and my spouse. I knew by how she was acting it was because we were gay. I LOVE their food, but its not worth the bad experiences.
New owner continuing to serve community in a very busy, friendly environment.
Love it. Nice home town restaurant Been going there for 40 yrs. Met my husband there when he was a deputy for Pope County
This restaurant is hands down my favorite restaurant in Russellville. Very friendly service, amazing food every time. This restaurant is my go to for breakfast.
Don't go for the ambience, go for the food. We both had chicken it was very good.
It's a great place to eat specially on Tuesday it's meatloaf day.
Was ok I guess loved the fired pickles but the sandwiches were just ok
Great food, great service, very comfortable environment. A local favorite, you'll love it!
Zak and the Old South family always provide the ultimate in southern comfort food and small town hospitality with a big heart.
Great hometown feel for Russellville. Great food and service.
I simply love this place. Good food, good service and wonderful atmosphere.
Old South Restaurant is a classic on Hwy 64. But be hungry when you visit! They serve food like it used to be served - BIG, homemade, and delicious.
Service was excellent, atmosphere was friendly, and food was prepared almost perfectly!
Food was subpar, fried pickles had grease dripping from them. My burger was not good vegetables on it were soggy and tasted like they had been seething out for a while. I ordered onion rings there were 4 small tough and greasy onion rings in the order. We will not go back..
A friend recommended this place ; and they did not disappoint. I got the chicken fried chicken with biscuit and gravy, hashbrowns with onions in them, 4 types of toast. 5/5 all day.
Chicken fried steak is a favorite here. BUT try chicken fried chicken - soooo good.
We stop here on our way to our family home on Fridays. Best prime rib and fudge pie ever
Friendly service, popular spot, friday night prime rib excellent. Marc potatoes however are instant and green beans canned would have preferred fresh Overall, a good spot
Been there forever. Always good food. Always good service.
Good service and good food. We were seated right away and asked what we wanted to drink. The waitress was a sweet girl that was super helpful. Will definitely be coming back!
Service is wonderful, and the food taste like that good ole home cooking. The breakfast is my favorite at this place!
Bad service. Use to be a good place to eat with reasonable prices. Now high prices and lousy food.
Always a great place for breakfast! They serve delicious southern comfort food at great prices!
Wonderful great food and good people the oldest restaurant in town
Ive eaten there for years and never had bad food or service. Definitely the best breakfast around.
Will not be back! Service was terrible and the food was overcooked! When we told our server our food was overcooked and tasted burnt there was no offer to remake it or apology or anything! This place has gone downhill tremendously.
I like the old south. I eat their most of the time when I travel through Russellville.
Great food and prices. People there actually. Care and make an effort to know you
Food was sooooo yummy!!!!! I wish the serving sizes were bigger but was cooked good.
Prime rib is very good, service is very good as well.
Wonderful place to eat Everyone is always always so nice!! Suggest u eat here u won't regret it at all.
This place was decent. The server was ok, took better care of others than us. The food was really good. It's a busy place, it's older, but in good shape. Thay have alot of regulars and they got better treatment. I might give back, hopefully it won't be the same.
It is a good place to eat at it has good food and nice people works there
Biscuits and gravy folks. If you haven't eaten here, it's your loss! Just as good to go also.
Can be very busy, has good chicken fried chicken. Southern style food, I would give food 4 out 5
