Live band was playing so loudly that talking to table companions was difficult. I was helped in my electric wheelchair, for example by cutting the pizza into pieces. Dishes were tasty. # wheelchair accessible

Old Scuola is obsessed with dough. Dough and Sauce are the two most important parts of pizza and they really nailed it.You can taste how nerdy they are for pizza. The combo of sauce and cheese being delivered to your palate on that fluffy, delicious bread bed is perfection in every bite.

GO EAT HERE! This was the best pizza I had outside of Italy and the service was phenomenal. (My server's name was Merula, she's very sweet and energetic)

Best pizza in Rotterdam, possibly the Netherlands.

EDIT: I returned for a few times. Last time, however, when it was a little busy, however, they forgot about my pizza. After 20 minutes and asking 3 times it finally came, and was completely different from the week before. There was almost no burrata on it, compared to a full ball the week before, as well as raw green tomatoes. When asking the waiter about this, all he could muster was "yes we reduced the amount of burrata to cut costs" and offered us a coffee on the house (one we were already promised, because of the delayed pizza, but we didn't have time for anymore). They said there was nothing else they could do to fix the situation (for example do some magic on the final bill to remove a disgusting pizza we didn't even finish).

Eversince, I did not return to this place. Which is sad, because the pizzas are very good, usually. I keep hearing stories that they aren't really able to handle busy times at their restaurant, so watch out for that.

A very poor imitation of Da Michele in Naples. If you're trying to emulate what Naples has done best for centuries, make sure you do enough research. Pizza dough was slightly undercooked, the Margherita was bland as they come, the "salsiccia and friarielli" had a very strange aftertaste from the conservatives in the jarred friarielli they use. Another let-down was the arancini, bland and for some odd reason they came topped with some sort of bernaise. There are other places in the Netherlands that far exceed what's being offered here.

Good pizza and other Italian dishes in a fun, hip atmosphere. Gets very busy and service can be slow, but you shouldn't mind because the vibe is fun. It's a little expensive for what you get, but the flavor is there and you won't feel too bad about it. Would definitely recommend.

The starters of sprouts and mushrooms & cauliflower that were served on a bed of mushroom pate with truffle were absolutely devine. The wine was very good and our pizzas were delicious too. My tiramisu was a let down. Overall it was a beautiful dining experience with very good and attentive service.

Good food and with a large group ordered 8 bottles of wine at 27 each. Then ordered some tap water, unfortunately this was not possible. According to the description, the bottled water of restaurant quality just seems like tap water. It seems to me no more than normal to provide healthy Rotterdam municipal lager for free, this detracts from this otherwise beautiful establishment.

The pizzas from Old Scuola are without a doubt the best in Rotterdam. I have been coming here for a long time and have never been disappointed! Delicious airy dough and fresh toppings.

The service, on the other hand, differs a bit every evening, on some days it is super, on other (busy) days pizzas often do not come at the same time or things are sometimes forgotten.

All in all definitely recommended if you are looking for a good, trendy pizza place!

This place is a must see ...
The pizzas are very thin ... but with an entree and two pizzas ... enough for two people ...
We ordered burrata and it was wonderful ... that dish is amazing the mix of flavors ...
The pizzas do not need to be mentioned ... and for dessert the risotto ... all a discovery.

Great pizza. Our Italian friend who joined us for a meal said that pizza quality is similar to those in South of Italy. Thick but fluffy crust and a thin bottom layer make these pizzas very tasty. Great selection of starters too. The beer selection is equally good with special beers from brewery festivals available for selection as well.

Highly recommended for those looking to have a great pizza. Recommend to book a table before hand as this place is busy (that also shows how good this place is)

One the best pizza I ever eat. Next level to pizza flavour and bite. The dough, tomatoes and the buffalo mozzarella are super tasteful. The antipasta is also good. Keep the good work you guys. Worth to come back!

As pizza chef at Old Scuola my only review can be related to when I am a customer there, in my free days. This is the only place where a neapolitan would eat a Pizza in Holland. It is a place where ingredients matters: nothing that goes on the pizza is canned. Dough is as fluffy as clouds.

Pizzas are special and tasty. Restaurant looks good. For me a huge disadvantage that the water is presented with all kinds of vague marketing terms, with the corresponding price tag. If you order 10 pizzas, a number of bottles of wine and cocktails, it seems to me no more than normal that you can also get tap water. Unfortunately this was not the case.

Cozy tent in a good location (walking distance from Blaak station and plenty of paid parking spaces around the restaurant). Seafood platter is highly recommended and the pizzas taste good and authentic. Not too economical with ingredients too. Staff is really friendly!

Unfortunately our evening was disappointing. While the food was ok (although slightly overpriced) we had to wait 80 minutes for our pizza. Above that the service was friendly but overstrained so they faced no option but to pay us a round of drinks. After all those good ratings we expected more.

Very nice and beautiful dining place with extremely friendly and adequate service for very reasonable prices for fantastic pizzas. A bit big size for us 65'ers so very reasonable that we could just share one !. One minus point, a lot has been done, it seems, to make the acoustic bearable in the concrete box, I managed quite well until the music came over it, that was a bit of a shame. But otherwise a 10. Also the pizza bread taken along is a nice memory the next morning.

Best pizza in the city.
There you'll find the real Neapolitan pizza in a rest with modern and simple decor.

Fantastic pizzeria! Delicious eaten and drunk. Good service and a very nice atmosphere. Not too big card so you can easily make a choice. They also change from menu from time to time. Even an Italian exchange student from my academy thinks this is the best pizza in the Netherlands so far. At least the pizza that tastes most like home!

Ordered a pizza margherita, dough was too soft and the cheese and tomatoes were sliding off. Ordered tiramusi and it came in a glass with sugar glaze on the top. My italian friends cook better than this. Wouldn t recommend.

unfortunately the pizzas were quite burned and the services were the worst in Rotterdam. The waitress (dark haired, not too young) was very rude to customers who politely asked her not-out-of-context questions and was very rude in the end too when paying. NOT coming back here despite the "good" pizzas

It's a pizza restaurant, but their pizza base is very fluffy which makes the whole pizza such a difference experience eating it. Service is good and when the weather is good there is also an outside.

came to dine alone. quite busy and most of the outdoor seating was taken or reserved. despite this, waitress seated me by an outside table (which was reserved by others for a little over an hour later) so I got to enjoy the sun :)

pizza was really really good too, different from most other pizza places I've been to in Rotterdam.

Delicious traditional pizzas with a thick but airy crust, the bottom is thin. I myself have been to Rome and the pizzas look like that too. Bread in advance was tasty, actually a pizza crust. Interior is atmospheric, big eye-catchers are the two huge pizza ovens, the kitchen is open and you can actually see everything how your pizza is prepared. Prices are reasonable (not even cheap). The downside is that the order also took quite a while, while we were the first guests on a Friday night. Hosts and women wear traditional clothing. The hostess was not very friendly but the gentleman did. For dessert the tiramisu chosen, this was reasonable.
