Old Anchor Resort Goa Review

Not recommended. There was water logging issues in room. Had to shift to different room which again had same issue. Location is good though

A good place ship like restaurant is very nice opposite to the Arabian Sea is very amazing and it's made special by vegetarian food the food is awesome the stuff is good and the view is superb you should at least try once in your life this hotel and restaurant is nice at your budget you should try try and try are you shouldn't try it's on you

Very good hotel, food all delicious,i suggest lost of my friend and family member to come this hotel.

Though the property is one if the most strategically located and with a huge land in cavelossim . It looses its points on poor management and maintainance . Staff is not really helpful and they do not have adequate staff. Services offerered are not to the expectations in a hospitality sector.

It's a beautiful place with helpful staff and child friendly. Decent rooms and amazing vegetarian breakfast option. Great place for a family weekend get away. Overall beautiful and great ambience.

One of the pathetic hotels I ever been to. They have a property in a prime location and it's not well maintained. You want bug bites and bad odour in the room then, this is the place you want to stay. I am giving one star because I don't have an option to give less than that. If you happen to stay there and plan to book by looking at the pictures in the booking site then please consider once again.

If you are not a vegetarian then avoid this place for all sake. Rooms are like old quarters and poorly managed. Power backup is not proper. You need to wait for 10 to 15 minutes to get the power. Service is very poor.. I booked the suit room on this property for 3 days and I have to leave within an hour with the type of so called suit allotted by the hotelier. I forgot about the money and took my family away from the torturing experience. My family failed to accept the facilities. Beds were having all sweat marks, dampness on the walls , AC not working properly.. no remote to manage the temperature. Pathetic experience.

Hotel just few metres away from beach. Well maintained and best place to hang out with family and Kids.

Superb Place. Loved the staff and the management of Byke. Shefali at Byke Mumbai needs special mention for her helpful attitude.

I had a great time at the Byke old anchor resort , the service as just superb and would surely be coming back asap. Loved the service of Mr Aditya , Mr puneet , Mr abdes who were very helpful all the way . Loved my dining specially and super view .Thank you the Byke old anchor resort.

A good hotel in a very good location of the magnificent beach of Cavelossim: the sea is five minutes away, there is a beautiful river nearby. Solid "five" in the ratio of price - quality!

Wonderful staff... Luvly service... Delicious food... Comfortable stay... Osum location...and cozy interior and exterior... However how much I saw wud be less...

Excellent Resort. Pool, rain dance, inhouse discotheque is good. Rooms are little old and needs revamping. Room Service is slow. May be due to distances involved. Beach is at 2 min distance and it is an excellent, clean and safe beach. Life savers are available there in ample. Lot of attractions in south Goa like Cobe De Rama fort, Shrikrishna Temple, beaches like Majorca, Varca etc. are in vicinity. Would be a paradise for veggies as they serve only veg food. Non veg lovers, pls try some other place if you want to stick to non veg. Over all a good place for a 2 to 3 days stay in South Goa with Family.

Despite of good location and food, everything is worst. Service, cleanliness and staff attitude is not good. Pool is not clean. Rooms are unclean and has continuous water shortage.

Rooms are good... Some rooms r really bad .. with no maintenance ..

Hotel have good facilities, Have three conference hall , Restaurant , Pool , Party hall, Spacious Rooms, Good Hospitality.
But the rooms are not well maintained, due to aging the wall paints are falling down, Our door got stuck twice since the key is not going inside the hole.(they send carpenter with in 10 minute)
Overall experience is okey that's why 3 star

Perfect location of you have to stay in South Goa. It's just cross the road away from the beautiful beach. It's a 100% pure vegetarian resort. All meals were really great. We stayed for 3 nights. Only problem is it is not possible to have 6 meals of Punjabi food back to back. Would prefer the buffet to hv different cuisines atleast for dinner. Drinks is also very reasonable at the resort. The discotheque was really nice with some fantastic bollywood and English songs. Was totally surprised with the no. Of foreigners mainly Russians staying at this resort especially being a 100% pure veg resort. The rooms are nice and spacious. Although not very tastefully done but who spends the day in the room in Goa. Would definately stay here again.

It can accommodate 236 gusts.
Spacious rooms with all modern facilities like LED T.V., Telephone, A/c, Kettle for making Tea, Coffee, Toiletries including a Shaving kit, Towels, Hot water etc.
Most of the foreigners prefer this as this has a fantastic Swimming Pool with a Bar too.

It has a small shopping complex also cater to the foreign tourists.
Taxi on call by the hotel.
They can also arrange a ferry services on demand.
For all these top class amenities, they charge a reasonable charges.
We were there for a week and had a splendid time.

It is an old resort but the food was too good and also the location of the resort...it's near to cavellosim beach...I like this resort... only one problem is cleanliness...they doesn't clean the room... except that everything else is good

Great place to visit. Service is good but slow. Must visit Riverside lawn. Built between river Sal and Cavelossim Beach. please check room after entry. May not be clean.

Nice place for Veggies

We visited bykes for lunch for 3 adults n 1 child today. The food was stale n bad. I puked n feel sick. I told the hotel manager about the food but they were to causal about it n said there aren't many guests so food is like that. This is ridiculous n least expected from the hotel staff. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Amazing property .... Lush green lawns ... River on one side and 2 mins walk to the cavelossim beach the other side.... Payed meals are amazing though the free breakfast offered was not as good ... Rooms and facilities need maintenance......

Very bad service..... Images in internet are exactly opposite what it is..... Better to stay in a small lodge instead of staying here . Attached are some of the original pics of the resort.

room service was horrible. The room cleaner is very rude and when there is sand all on the floor, after room cleaning it does not change at all. It stays the same. And there was no warm water in my room. About the food, it wasn't all praise worthy compared to the different places I've been to. And the place is so big, it takes a lot of time to find your way in OR out. They should actually provide maps or proper directions if the hotel is going to be so spaced out. I stayed in one of the villas for 4 days and on the third day I found a cockroach in my room. The staff was also super hasty and quite ignorant. There were only a few good things like how the beach was near. To be honest, my experience wasn't all that great about this hotel. Very poor performance from their side. I really don't think I'll be visiting again.

I have a unit week purchased from previous owner Dalmia Resorts. 99 year lease. in Early
90's or late 80's
After about a decade these people started to charge Rs.5000/= as maintenance fee every year.

I had gone there in 2012, March end. I paid Rs.5000/=. The room was horrible, the 4 inch mattresses were 2" thick. Why they were asking Rs.5000/= per unit week is beyond any reason.

They are trying to loot the unit week holders. Many have filed cases aginst them, some have won, and I too plan to file one.

Wonder why there are a few appreciations here.

Management is not good. And even rooms. Not worth the money. Though the beach is 2mins walk, not a good place to stay.

With its mouthwatering delicious pure vegetarian food and so comparative and friendly staff it becomes a retreat for the tourists.
Location of the resort is so beautiful with, beach by its road and touching river with its garden area you can also enjoy swimming and rain dancing . It's ship like structure is unique itself , and room are neat and clean. This resort is fully covered with nature plants, trees and river.
Must visit once .
