It is recommended to have lunch menu because the price is a little expensive.

John, the manager, took extra time to explain the menu items to us and went out of his way to accommodate some dietary constraints. The food was delicious and atmosphere friendly.

When being seated, you can choose a table or to sit in front of the grill (Teppanyaki style). Although they specialize in Okonomiyaki (a pancake looking creation) I cant get enough of their Teriyaki chicken! The meal comes with Miso soup, rice and delicious chicken.

Chibo is located on the 3rd floor of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki. The elevator is right across from the restaurant allowing easy access.

I liked it, a bit pricey for smaller portions, but anyways the food was good.

Very Japanese environment. Excellent food and very nice and attentive personnel. Me and my wife tried the day's specials including their signature dishes and the food was great. Will recommend for anybody liking seafood and Japanese food.

Went for the house standard Okonomiyaki Chibo and wasn't disappointed. Service was good and food ok. Not amazing, but ok.

Ohhhh, fantastic authentic Japanese food.

Everyone was friendly and the food was incredible. My only suggestion is that cocktails seemed like there wasn't much alcohol in them.But that won't stop me from returning. My taste buds are so happy!!

Randomly walked into this place and what a little treat indeed... Excellent freshly cooked food right in front of you, all served with a friendly smile. Try the garlic prawns, noodle dish or fresh oysters and perhaps a beer with a smidgen of white peach syrup. Really good value too...a rarity in expensive Waikiki.

The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. The service was good and it was our second time in a week.

Great lunch specials at very reasonable prices and great flavor. Service is friendly and efficient. Location is a little small, but serves the purpose.

Yum!! The Shio Yakisoba was fantastic, we ate every last noodle! The Okonomiyaki was also delicious. We also got these little friend wonton things, not sure the name but they were yummy. A little pricey but for the area and the quality I'd definitely recommend!

Friendly staff. Decent okonomiyaki. A bit pricey though. Macadamia pie/tart was a bit disappointing.

The food was delicious. It was great watching the chef cook your okonomiyaki in front of you. The atmosphere was really nice.

Meh for a teppanyaki set, they rush it and throw everything at the dish at the same time.

Best okonomiyaki I've had outside of Japan. The wait staff was also very friendly and the service was fantastic.

After 25+ years looking for a chu hi, Chibo has them. John was great at explaining the menu.

When asked if they validate they confirmed they validate the bank of hawaii across the street. Be prepared to pay 2 dollars per hour of validation. Average dish price is around $25 per person.

The chefs are waiting for you to watch and have a great taste. I ate two or three kinds and it was all delicious.

If you've never tried okonomiyaki, this is about the only place to get quality creations of it in Honolulu. Okonomiyaki is basically a "pancake" consisting of flour, egg, cabbage, and mountain yams, with ingredients which you can choose off their menu. Once cooked, the okonomiyaki is topped off with okonomiyaki sauce, a Japanese version of plum sauce, a mayonnaise sauce, seaweed powder, and dried bonito flakes. Okonomiyaki is quite delicious and worth sampling.

If you would rather go for seafood, beef, or chicken, the restaurant has a teppanyaki selection as well. There are also salads, various full course meals on the menu, and even happy hour.

It's a good place to try when in the Beach Walk area!

We absolutely loved this place. Reasonably priced for Waikiki and the service was spectacular! I recommend this place to anyone who wants great Japanese cuisine with a wonderful staff!

Lunch of Senbo. $ 13. Teppei bowl.
Tonpei is less meat and you will eat rice with egg sauce and mayonnaise.
Here too, you should eat either hamburger or okonomiyaki. But quite expensive ...

Fast teppanyaki. They will serve 2 or even a group. Great food.

The lobster is delicious~ I ordered okonomiyaki too, but I was too full to eat it. Even though I drank half the drink, I kept refilling it so I drank three sprites. Eating 4-5 glasses for 8 dollars is a good thing...

The okonomiyaki was good, but it was $30 each. It is Hawaii but I've had equally good okonomiyaki for half the price. I actually wanted the yakisoba more but for the same price, I thought it would be less worth it to pay $30 for noodles with veggies.

Somewhat expensive for the food. Tables were sticky. Food is ok. Service is not the best.

Amazing locomoco! The service is topnotch. I love their side salad whenever I order their locomoco. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for the best locomoco on the island. :) Okonomiyaki is great too!

I'd been a couple of times when they were in the Royal Hawaiian Center and wanted to take my wife for her first trip to Hawaii. Not quite as fun (they used to cook in front of you at the bar) but the food was fantastic and reasonably priced.

The teppanyaki lunch menu has great choices and their selection of sake is great.

I found this restaurant on Yelp in the Waikiki area. The service was professional and fast, each single staff member was exceptional and delightful in customer service.

I ordered the six course meal with champagne (they let us replace champagne with Japanese beers).

Ahi Poke - excellent soy sauce sauce with the Tuna.

Garlic shrimp - excellent butterfly cut with a mountain of minced garlic. Yummy!

Assorted Seafood - this plate was okay. Nothing to amazing.

Prime NY steak - excellent.

Lobster Yakisoba - great sauce with the noodles.

Black sesame ice cream - a must order if you are a fan of black sesame. They added a bottom layer of granola. Amazing!

Awesome service and the food was very good. Garlic chicken, Teriyaki chicken, the pancake dish with beef, shrimp, and scallops was absolutely delicious. Japanese comfort food at its finest. All the side dishes, salad, and miso soup was of the same grade, excellent.

I went to eat okonomiyaki and ordered it as a large pancake. I ordered seafood rubber and meat rubber. The amount of steak and seafood was good enough for two people to eat. Since the salt is too salty, it can be too salty, so be sure to order less salt. Please calculate or include a service tip.
Ask for a separate receipt and give a service tip of 10%

Great restaurant and reasonable prices with amazing food. A very memorable experience that combines fine dining with friendly and sociable staff. The owner is very welcoming and social. Highly reccomend.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants here in Waikiki. Very affordable,with delicious food, the Service was very fast and each single staff member has been super professional with an amazing customer service. Really recommended :)

I had a $ 160 course for 2 people, but I can eat the food that I cooked directly on the iron plate. It is perfect when you are tired of both pleasing and fatty American food. Especially the steak was so delicious. The tip is included later when you make a payment.

At last the best dinner restaurant in the Island. Service was very good and the food fresh and delicious. The Octopus, the Rib Eye, and their Sake selection is amazing. The Macadamia pie to die for!

Very good Japanese Teppanyaki place. If seated inside, make sure to get seats by the chefs tables where all meat, fish, veggies and omelettes are cooked to order.
Lots of fresh seafood as well as really nice pieces of meat.
Slightly over cooked seafood when it comes to the Octopus and Scallop (to our taste), the rest really nicely done.
Had a lovely experience, the staff speaking both English and Japanese.
Good Sake selection, tasting of 3 for 15 USD.
Also very nice selection of Japanese Whisky.

Loco Moco should seriously be considered when reviewing this menu

Good food, specifically Okonomiyaki, and decent service. But Okonomiyaki price is a little high. Except for a little overprice, i'm satisfied.

Certainly one of my favourite restaurants in Waikiki. Food was prepared fresh right in front of us, we enjoyed the cooking and the food itself was an even better experience. Okonomiyaki is their signature so definitely give that a try!

It was better than I expected! !! However, if you are expecting the so-called "okonomiyaki" price range, you will be betrayed (it feels quite expensive ...). It's a country with high prices, so it can't be helped, but there are three points that reflect that "feeling of betrayal"! !!

Absolutely loved spending our last night in Honolulu here. The entire staff were so welcoming. Went out of their way to make sure we were looked after and even gave us complimentary ice cream! If we're ever in Hawaii again, we will be back!!!

This place has excellent food.

A bit pricier and definitely more authentic so don't expect American sized portions.

I ordered the teriyaki chicken with the set/fried rice and partner ordered the octopus with the set as well.

Chicken was so savory - could have eaten just that the whole time.

I had a great time eating here. The food was AMAZING and the staff was super friendly. I had a small bottle of hot sake, crispy gyozas as an app, and the Osaka-style okonomiyaki. It was one of the best meals I ve EVER had. I will definitely be returning before I leave Oah u.
