This place is amazing. My daughter and I took a tour of it and it is such a wonderful place. Has It's own small library and art room where it showcases local artists. The building is on the historic register, i believe, and was built in 1908. They do great work and have an amazing little place going on. I hope they do well and last as long as they want.

I've been attending various events and programs at OKEQ for years. The facilities are even better since they have renovated. It's a great community center with many different activities. I recommend you check it out!

A truly welcoming experience, Oklahomans For Equality welcomed me (from out of state, I was looking to connect with others from the community while assisting during a disaster) with open arms, took me on a grand tour of their truly delightful facility with everything from arts, movie theater, library, billiards, youth/computer area to even a rooftop viewing area for summer movies! The staff were warm & knowledgeable taking the time to answer questions. Handicapped accessibility was also a welcomed pleasure! A true treasure for LGBTQ Oklahoman's

Everyone here is so nice. I love using this space for various clubs and activities. I have never felt unwelcome at the equality center. The space is great for any sort of activity. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and there are multiple rooms that can function as various party spaces and club spaces. The upstairs has a children's space and a library. And the air conditioning is amazing.

Cool

This place is a Haven for Tulsa's LGBT community. In addition to multiple social functions, they also have a large collection of LGBT books. I visited to welcome the addition of the new windows to the front of the building. There was a good turnout of all ages. They have a website that outlines all of the activities they offer. I have attended the group for older LGBT's and felt welcomed.

Great place to go for many reasons. There's a ton of LGBTQ support and no matter how you identify you can get basically any question answered. Besides the LGBTQ focused services they have events such as art galleries, yoga, and various support groups. There is a library and a computer lab. The facility is handicap friendly. This is the place to go for LGBTQ support.

I have taken my grandson daughter to the pride Parade for the last 2 years. He enjoys the camaraderie and the fact there are other people just like him. It makes me happy there is somewhere he can go where he feels he fits in. As a teenager that is very important to me that he has someone to talk to.

When they first opened, I worked next door. I was so happy to see the flag out front everyday. I wish I had these resources when I was growing up and struggling to find and accept myself. So happy that we now have such a place, as well as Openarms Youth Project. Hope the youth of today takes advantage and appreciates these places and the people that keep it going.

Amazing support and programs for the LGBT+ community and their families. We are here most weekends (outside of COVID) and my child is much better off mentally due to the support and friendship he has gained through the support groups and activities. 6 stars, 11 out of 10, three thumbs up!

I personally believe in equality for all people which is one of the reasons I decided to build a website for OKEQ / Equality Business Alliance at a 50% discount. I actually did quite a few things for free as well. I built a website for OKEQ / EBA and everything worked just fine and was approved (I have the email to show anyone that wants to see it) by Shane Allbee who was my contact at OKEQ while building the website. Toby Jenkins said the website did not work and said he is not going to pay for it and that we are done. I was extremely surprised to hear this and replied, it has been tested and Shane even approved it, so lets go through the website so you can show me your concerns. He said about 5 times in a row "WE ARE DONE" and refused to discuss anything.

Shane Allbee was nice but very hard to deal with during production and sometimes would not return my emails and calls up to 2 months. This is the reason the project took so long to complete. Mr. Allbee was suppose to send an email out to all OKEQ EBA members on how to login for the first time but he never sent one out which caused a lot of confusion.

They are saying that all functions were not complete. I asked them to look at the signed agreement and tell me which ones have not been completed. They have not answered this in 5 months.

Also, OKEQ has members that are attorneys at McAfee & Taft, so if they decide not to pay a bill, they can just ask them to fight it. So I am pretty much out of luck on getting paid unless I hire an attorney and take them to court.

Very humble and peaceful place! When you walk thru that door the first thing you see is everyone smiling, and you know right then you have found a safe place where you can be exactly who you are!
