Community of homogenous thinking that stifles personal growth. The campus tries to recreate the feeling of a youth group, but only succeeds in clustering together those who already think similarly, and pushing out those who vary in beliefs from them.

The mainstream is all that exists here, don't go with the intention of being an individual.

The school offers a balanced traditional liberal education. The smaller campus size isn't for everyone. It can take some time to fit in, but there are many, unique opportunities to contribute and excel here.

Christian School? Well they dont teach Christian values! Or the students just dont practice them! They come flying out of the north entrance almost hitting me several times. Just no respect for their neighbors!

I got a business call from someone in your office inquiring about a Retail product. I'm a Christian with firm Christian values and hope for others, whether they are believers or not, to be successful at whatever they do. Knowing that retail mark up in specialty stores are way above most standard budgets for faculty members, I was sharing some insight on more thrifty means by suggesting different areas that were more cost effective for the disposable items she'd needed. She was verbally annoyed and abruptly hung up in my face when I was only trying to be helpful. If these are the kinds of people that represent this Alma Mater with it's mission statement, as one 'that transforms lives for Christian faith, scholarship, and service and they are anything like this young lady that is not the sort of Christian school I want my college aged children attending.

Bias Check: this is my Alma Mater. College is what you make of it. If you are a Christian (especially a Church of Christer), this is a great school. The faculty is excellent. The school is constantly trying to stay relevant while sticking to its beliefs and roots. The facilities get better and better every year. The smaller school atmosphere and residential campus make for a great community, where all the students a few minutes walk from each other.

At OC, you will find an environment that is very Christian friendly and very student orientated. Be warned; this institution holds high academic standards. It was perfect for me, since I wanted to continue to graduate school, which it fully prepared me for. I also found life-long friends as well as my wife there.

Do you want to be shown the OPPOSITE of Christ s love, and be taught to live the OPPOSITE ways he has directed us to in the Bible? Look no further! This school enjoys collecting fines from students and scrutinizing young adults, even going as far as to kick them out with no chance of finishing their school year or earning their money back, because there was a male student hanging out with them in their apartment. 8 years ago, that s exactly what they did to me! Be careful not to have any opposite gender friends; they re a big no-no to God apparently.
