I got a business call from someone in your office inquiring about a Retail product. I'm a Christian with firm Christian values and hope for others, whether they are believers or not, to be successful at whatever they do. Knowing that retail mark up in specialty stores are way above most standard budgets for faculty members, I was sharing some insight on more thrifty means by suggesting different areas that were more cost effective for the disposable items she'd needed. She was verbally annoyed and abruptly hung up in my face when I was only trying to be helpful. If these are the kinds of people that represent this Alma Mater with it's mission statement, as one 'that transforms lives for Christian faith, scholarship, and service and they are anything like this young lady that is not the sort of Christian school I want my college aged children attending.
