I went here on a class field trip. The time their was very informative. We were able to the history of M. Kennedy and about about becoming a U.S. Senator. The chamber was also very cool and interactive to see.

Effective at what it tries to do -- educate visitors on the role of the U.S. Senate and celebrate the political career of Ted Kennedy. The museum is spacious, the exhibits are engaging and memorable, and there is a new and polished look to the building that makes the experience pleasant for all.

I can't say enough good things about our experience at the EMK Institute. The replica of the Senate chamber is amazing, and the "Today's Vote" program is informative and interactive. The fact that each visitor receives a tablet on arrival and chooses their own profile makes you feel like a part of everything that is going on. We arrived just after opening and stayed easily until 2pm. I highly recommend visiting (and if you are a local, check with your library for discount passes!).

Went to the JFK Library on Monday and saw that the EMK Institute was open Tuesday thru Sunday. So came back on Thursday at 12:20pm only to find they were only open until 1pm that day even though they advertise a 10am-5pm opening times on their website. Disappointing as I came back specifically to visit on my vacation.

An incredible facility combined with an incredible staff, EMK offers a one of a kind immersive experience. I try to take a field trip with my middle school civics students annually and we are always left amazed. They have rebuild the US Senate chamber to scale and offer an innovated SIM as well as the ever changing daily roll call. In a time of political division and dysfunction, The EMK Institute for the US Senate provides some hope in the dark.

Such an amazing educational place! Touching the history of this great country, using technology! I feel lucky to live in Massachusetts where my children can learn about their government in a great place for free!

Nice museum of the Senate, a memorial of a senator who championed equal rights ruined by the racially profiling security guard who posted up by my car as soon as I arrived and didn't move until I left. Live by the words, Boston. Do better.

Great place to learn about the history and inner workings of the US Senate, plus the life and times of one of its longest-serving members, Edward (Ted) Kennedy. Visitors are handed handheld devices to help them navigate the museum and interact with the exhibitions. The space is huge but has just the right amount of exhibitions, so the experience is not overwhelming. Check out the large hall recreating the actual US Senate chamber in DC, where you can get a feel for what it's like to be a US senator voting on issues and legislation.

The staff are all pleasant and helpful. There is a gift shop and cafeteria on-site.

Attended a talk and book signing. Sat in a replica of the United States Senate chamber! Lots of educational exhibits about our nation's government. Can't wait to come back and learn more!

I really enjoyed our time at the Institute. Lots of history about the Senate. Loved the interactive features and being part of a vote in the Senate chamber. A lot more goes into passing laws than I ever knew! lol The replica of Sen Kennedy's office was the icing on the cake during our visit. All the paintings he did are hanging on the walls of the reception area of his office....I never realized what a good artist he was.

Didn t announce an unscheduled closure in any clear method and was lied to saying it was announced on the website (the word closed didn t appear anywhere). I was then told I m supposed to call any place that is open to check that they are actually open...how absurd...

I was there yesterday as a volunteer for MIRA (Mass. Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition) to register the new citizens to vote. It was the first time Edward M. Kennedy Institute was doing the swear in for new citizens. The staffs were friendly, helpful and welcomed us. Thanks!

It is a beautiful building on the water near Umass Boston. Lot's of information on laws and bills and the United States. Gorgeous art work painted by Ted Kennedy himself. Right next door to the JFK Museum.

A wonderful and educational experience. A great interactive experience, the staff is very friendly and seem to love their jobs. The chance to follow the making of a law, then playing Senator in the hall was great. Don't go and say nothing. Stand and be heard. It will contribute to your experience. I plan to go back and bring my out of town guests who have not seen it yet. A MUST stop for every American!

Excellent place for a field trip. I took my 8th graders and they loved it. The museum is highly interactive, and all students received an iPad. It was a wonderful place for a visit. I highly recommend it.
