The Nuit Blanche website was SO inaccurate!
-Orangerie was a ticket only-event, with a 2 hour wait for standby seats
-Institute de France and Place du Palais Royal both closed HOURS before their listed closing time
In general, security guards didn t care about what was written on your website. I came for the weekend expecting an all-night art party, and instead I was disappointed 3 locations in a row before giving up.
This was truly disappointing, misleading, and unprofessional.
Always nice little things to see inside, designer exhibitions for example
We have used our museum pass for 4 days. It was a bit demanding to see all the museums we planed, but it was worth it. We left Paris full of memories and wish to come back. Except world famous Louvre and Orsay, we recommend Musee des arts et metiers, and Cite de l'architecture e du patrimonie (Pallais Chaillot).
Everything we got information was wrong or inaccurate. The information that the Louvre opened the first Saturday of the month in the evening after 6 pm without a ticket was only confirmed on request, but does not explain that the Mona Lisa will not be on display! At the Palace of Versailles, we were advised to walk through the park to be admitted faster. That is unfortunately completely wrong! There is only one entrance! This detour cost us 1 1/2 h! Furthermore, the wrong ticket for public transport was recommended. I am completely disappointed with this non-existent service! Actually, they did not deserve a star.
Tickets can be purchased for selected sights to avoid some queues.
Difficult to speak with the persons, if you don't speak ftench
Tourist office for information and to buy packages or tickets avoiding long lines at the box office. Courteous but not entirely staffed with tools, for example some metro tickets are more expensive.
They speak Spanish and the attention was excellent.
Very helpful in helping. They speak French, English and Spanish.
Unpleasant staff .... he threw us a card and the phase "everything is indicated there"
Perfect welcome. Everything to spend our week in Paris with your family.
The attendant answered us in Portuguese and loved to practice the language. She was extremely helpful and answered all our questions.
We went to the tourism office to purchase the Paris Museum Pass. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of information on the wall for attractions and tips.
However, I am really dissatisfied with the Paris Museum Pass. Unlike other city passes I have used in the past: Roma pass, and Florence pass. The Paris Museum Pass advertises you will skip the line at majority of the locations, but that is not the whole truth. You skip the line to purchase a ticket, but unlike other city passes, you do not get fast track line. The pass will save you money if you hit 6-7 museums, but you won't save much time if you don't show up early.
Ran all the way from notre Dame to here in the rain for a museum pass. Made it there 5 minutes before they close and they wouldn't even look at us al we got was "we're closing"
I bought Museum Passes and paid 1.5 euros for the "processing fee". "that's what the processing fee is for" i asked. La cassiere replied: "It is informed, it is written on the small screen of the case."
Indeed, for any purchase, there is an administrative fee of 1.5 euros, but I still haven't understood what it is. The cashier said again: "I don't know, it's like sometimes the same thing, here it's cheaper, here it's more expensive. Do you prefer to be informed or not informed?"
Ok, but I still don't have an explanation for this processing fee. Well done for the Tourist Office which steals us for any excuse.
No thanks, no goodbye after all. It is very welcoming this agency !!! Service is always desired, the news too.
The location is very good, because it is in the center of Paris. They have brochures and maps with the sights of the city, distributed free of charge. However, you have to wait a long time to be attended to and the employees do not show much interest in helping.
There are quite a few pamphlets and maps available for free, and Wi-Fi is available. Ticket reservations are also available, so if you have any problems, you should go here.
Very clean and bright space offering cards and numerous flyers. It may be worth taking a break before embarking on a visit to Paris and its surroundings. When I went there, there was not a crowd and the reception staff seemed available for those with questions that could not be answered despite the abundant literature. I therefore recommend this space to all visitors from the Province, from abroad but also to those from the Paris region wanting to discover their region.
Not even a phone number for information. Tourists are
welcome! What are all these people doing in the tourist office offices?
Publishers for the sale of their own products (Museums Pass) still handling fees. Impudence!
Excellent staff attention and very explanation of tourist services
I got all the necessary information and removed the Museum pass
Everything is fine, only to our question we did not get the right answer. The room is warm, there is free WiFi, you can charge the phone.
Well organized on the one hand and unfortunately not geared to demand.
You have to draw a number at the entrance to get it at all.
We were on a Saturday and had given 1h 43min waiting time at 2pm. At 3pm it was over 2 hours for new numbers.
In the end we came after 45 minutes because apparently too many numbers or their number pullers did not want to wait. But it should work better that there are no such waiting times.
And why can you only book online tickets if you book at least 4 days in advance? What is that nonsense like today? Online bookings do not have exactly this advantage that there are no waiting times and you can immediately and immediately place an order and also pay directly online ??? But here we still work with a 4-day lead time and then manually print out the ticket, which then contradicts the sense of online bookings in my eyes and thus also causes waiting times of 2 hours.
Competent and friendly. Tickets bought online and picked up on site. Well advised and shown how to get there.
Flee the gentleman to the left of the reception!
You will feel like the last of the imbeciles on earth.
Asked for some advice, he replied: "I only give advice to my friends"
Artist hat
Assistance immediately
Solved all issues gallantly
Bought all tickets
The receptionists are not very pleasant, I have gone several times and I have touched a few times nice. They have plenty of information about everything in Paris. The website is very complete!
Convenient to collect tickets from museums and others, reserved online!
Beware of rush hour, the wait can be long!
Can you get good information and can buy tickets for several places in Paris
Here you can get information quickly and competently and you can also book straight away.
Everything went smoothly.
A tourist center in the very center of Paris. A lot of information, maps, booklets and much more in almost all languages. I recommend visiting a tourist when visiting Paris. Learn a lot of useful information.
Not answered my questions impression that we bothered impossible to buy the pass for museum and unable to tell me when that would be possible
As I'm sure many tourists do they walk a lot. As we did, we walked from the Eiffel Tower to the closest tourism office 3.3km. We actually wondered if there was a closer Office but apparently not! So after getting a ticket and waiting 20 minutes we were served. We were asking to purchase tickets to the Palace of Versailles. We asked if we should get there at 8:00am (not knowing what the opening times were only we had heard of extremely long queues) She said yes! We were 3 Adults and a 14 yo. She told us the 14 was free and yes we should get there at 8:00am. She also told us 27 was for the skip the queue ticket. She was helpful however and sold us return train tickets. Ok so very early morning and got there at 8:00am Hmm Palace doesnt open until 9:00am. And as it was raining we couldn't walk through the gardens. Restaurant doesn't open until 9:30am so we had to stand out in the rain and wait. So we waited in what we thought was the speedy lane Entry A that we had paid extra for and then about 15 minutes before 9:00am. Everyone that had started another queue joined ours and that was the only queue. The long and short of it was we were sold tickets we didn't really need (speedy entry). We were told the wrong entry time (8am not 9am) and even though a 14 yo is free it's only to the Palace. Not for the Gardens so had to go back to another queue and buy a 7.50 ticket.
Despite this it was worth it! Just needed to be told the right information from the start would have been helpful.
A great starting point for any visit to paris. I came here the first thing first time I arrived and they were very kind on providing maps and all the information required for my trip. The staff is super helping and they speak many languages, so for sure they will make you feel like home.
Small shop front free maps of Paris. Souveniors from machine
Staff member incredibly unhelpful with giving pertinent details for visiting the Palace of Versailles. She gave complicated instructions and was not able to answer most of our questions. Once we arrived at the palace we were confused about which line to stand in because of her misleading instructions. We waited 1.5 hours to get into the Palace and found out at the scanning station that she had only printed out one out of two tickets!!!
We bought a VistPass for four days of museums and five days of transportation. Attention in Spanish. Children under 25 do not need this pass since museums are free until that age.
To see a member of staff, be sure to take a ticket from the electronic kiosk first! You'll be put into the queue and wait for your number to be called. You can purchase all the essential paris passes here, they can help you schedule visits to certain attractions, and there are plenty of brochures for travel companies you can find.
The office of tourism has a convenient website where you can order priority and skip-the-line tickets for most major attractions, like Louvre Museum, Palace of Versailles, Eiffel Tower, ahead of your trip. After ordering online and setting a pick-up date, this is the physical office to pick up your tickets from once you arrive in Paris.
When you go in the office, you take a number from the kiosk, in case there is a waiting line. For me, there's no waiting on a Tuesday afternoon. The staff lady was very attentive and helped explain and answer all my questions about the tickets I've received.
The office has additional guides and maps in multi languages. It is a great official offering from the city of Paris to ensure a well-planned trip.
It all depends on who is at the reception, not being demanding and everything is fine !!!
A very friendly and nice employee who spoke perfect English helped me to find a way to get to Disneyland during strikes. He saved my day and my money! I cannot be more grateful.
Good place to find the information you searching for.
My number was called and the service representative, an older male asked me to wait, which I did. He helped 3 other customers, at which point I began to ask others to help me get the passes that I paid for so I could leave. This is was very rude and unprofessional, every customer deserves the same service and he needs to be reminded of this.
Easy to get to, very well organized, with tons of useful information available. Staff is corteous and polyglot.
Perfect care and well organized despite the number of people we were. Just one thing, buy tickets to visit Versailles thinking that doing it in advance would save the entrance queue. Nor was it so. There are different types of tickets, only those that have a date enter through the fast queue, they gave me something they call one day passport, since it does not have a date ..., They should have warned me.
The office is modern, but we had to wait a long time
Good reception, no waiting, cleanliness, good knowledge of the subject, nice shop, adapted space ... In short, I am proud of our Parisian OT and God knows if I see it during my travels !!
This place helped us find how to get to everywhere we were wanting to go! Just make sure if you re wanting to get some info you have time. It sort of reminds me of the DMV, you ve got to take a number, and be willing to wait.
I love Paris is my favorite city in the world but I need to report the abuse and insults from a metro inspector at the station Chatelet around 8:30 pm exit #1 on June 6th 2018 my fiftieth getting of the metro to get my birthday dinner at the Marais. The inspector ask me for my ticket and I told him the machine at the entrance on Concord station had kept my ticket. He became very rude and started telling me that I was using the metro for free. He would not even listen for explanations and he called the police and kept insulting me saying I was using their metro for free even though I showed him a book of new new tickets I had purchased that morning and where the tickets I was using to move around the city. Come on people I am a 50 year old disable male. I traveled through 5 countries and decided to celebrate my 50th birthday in Paris just to get insulted and abused by this badly trained in sensible inspector. This leaves me with no reason or will to spend thousands of Euros to support this kind of abuse. Nor I will let any family members or friends go get exposed to these insults speciality in an important occasion as your birthday celebration. I will discourage anyone I know about going there to be insulted this way. I can provide pictures to support any of all the facts that I stated.
Kindness and courtesy also in Italian.
However, I came in with a clear idea of what to ask.
Really ok! Organization, control and above all kindness and availability
Easy to reach, courtesy and professionalism guaranteed
Personally friendly, you can buy tickets for sightseeing in Paris
The deal has been correct peroooo .......... A tourist office that does not speak Spanish !!!!!!!!!! The third most spoken language in the world !!!!!!!!! Pathetic
Unable to reach them by phone. Is Paris a small town or a hotspot for tourism? We are wondering.
New tourist office, very pleasant! With a good choice of flyers.
The hosts speak a lot of different languages and are very welcoming. A luxury for Paris.
The Made in France store is a big plus!
I recommend to any tourist who wishes to have ideas of activities to do in the French capital.
CLOSED Permanently. The Tourism Office has moved to the Hotel du Ville. (The entrance for the Tourism Office is on the side of the Hotel du Ville building that faces the Rue de Rivoli.)
Service was poor....not particularly helpful or friendly. Felt the Assistant was perfunctory and not in love with his job. Printed material was very good though.
Plenty of free guides in different languages. Organized and helpfull staff.
Any questions go. In English in French or Portuguese they advise you in the best way
A lot of brochures and a free map, but the workers aren't very helpful.
I asked what they would recommend between 3 sites and was told it's not their job to plan our day. I then asked if the catacombs are particularly busy over the weekend or if it's better to go there during the week and the answer was "we don't check the attraction lines"
How much time would you recommend I should book for the eiffel tower? "however much you want, we can't make recommendations"
So no recommendations and no info about line length, might as well Google what I want to see.
Great & very helpful! Do get your tickets for your Paris visits over here so you can skip the line (for most of them)
First friendly Parisians in the hospitality industry found! Maybe my expectations has been drastically lowered but how i wish the rest of the city is like this. Also there's this lady who can speak gobsmacking 9 languages. Wow. And yes she's friendly and incredibly helpful.
Very rude staff, including the security at entrance.
Unless it s a package they can sell on to you, they don t want to help in anyway if it s an attraction or company they don t list with. Very biased.
Would not recommend this place to anyone .
Waste of time horrible staff....
