Odeum Sports and Expo Center Review

Just got to park my semi for 2 hours so we could eat. Then left.

Excellent place to play soccer and having a good time in the bar area.

Went to the Oddities & Curiosities Expo. Expo was alright, but at no fault of the Odeum

Nice center pretty decent size...not enuf for a very large crowd..wa skinda squishy during the navratri dasara times!!!

Very good competition out here for youth indoor soccer. The field is old and creates burns when the kids fall or slide. Nothing like the latest turf w/ rubber most places use now. But it's all about the competition and other top clubs come here to play, so whatever.

Usually they have live music for craft shows, no band, this year, bought polish hot dog for lunch, was terrible, shopping was fun though.

Looking forward to the show today. Seems to be great theatre

Cheap, but hard to get parking for truckers. Surveillance minimal, but no major issues. Lots of clearing the lot conventions going on during the year. Overall good place to park if you can get in.

Its a large facility with plenty of parking. Average place with typical pricing on food and drink. Got stopped bringing in my own coffee and had to leave it at the front.

Its an OK place, but kinda run down. The food was pretty terrible but the presentation rooms were just fine.

The following is a post I originally had on Facebook for Rob Zombie's Great American Nightmare. However, they are deleting any negative posts and blocking the posters from commenting again. That is absolutely BS and is going to slowly bring down the already cheap and trashy RZ empire. But I digress...

I see whoever runs this page has taken down all the negative reviews. RZ is an expressive guy, why can't some truthful, negative reviews be tolerated? Maybe this place shouldn't have been so hyped up. Let me preface with the fact that my friends and I are from Indy. If you're not from Chicago, this place just isn't worth the 2+ hour drive like we had expected.

The attractions were mediocre at best considering the hype. SPOILER ALERT. Lords of Salem is just a pitch black maze with some strobe lights and sounds. It leads you to Superbeasto. The 3D effect was cool, but c'mon. It was basically a perverted fun house. After SuperSuck, you're lead to House of 1000 Corpses. I've seen better. Maybe my expectations were too high, but since RZ overdoes a lot of his acts (in good ways), how could you blame me?

The website expresses entertainment and vendors. The entertainment was a drum group and a few people playing with fire, and they were awesome! Unfortunately, way more awesome than the attractions, which we were there for. Oh, and one vendor selling ridiculously priced shirts that I could get for half the price on Amazon or Hot Topic. We didn't even go to Lunatic Lounge after being disappointed with the attractions. I'm sure it was just overpriced beer and pizza.

I know this novel will be deleted eventually, but I'll be sure to comment in other places just because whoever runs this is being a d*** for deleting other's posts. We won't be returning to any future RZ attractions. Judging by the reviews, they probably won't want to come back to the Midwest anyway.

Drum and Guitar shows are awesome. Danny Seraphine master class 2018 was the best. Straight up guy, local hero and world class drummer!

I attended the APWA Expo at the Odeum. The venue is nice. Plenty of space and room for this big event. Would rate higher but the facility and grounds could use some upkeep and updating. I think they did a good job hosting and managing this unique event. Many trucks and snow plows. Wish the grounds we're cleaner and some updates were done. Otherwise a nice place.

We park our trucks at the odeum, and I the security at the site seems to take the job very serious, I feel safe with my truck parked at the odeum

Should be called the odeum tractor trailer parking lot !!! The air sucks, the concessions stink, & the security lacks!!! I would give it a 1/3 star rating if I could !!!!

As a soccer player I should be allowed to bring my owned drinks in like water and Gatorade capped and sealed. All drinks got thrown out by security and of course a bottle cost $3.50 crooks !!!!

Peaceful to park but when i woke up there was a concert going on and place was packed with cars

Very nice facility. Tested for Coronavirus, only took about 1 hour. Fast, professional and free. Best advice is to pre-register at Testdirectly.com.

Chicago oddities and curiosity show was very good, lots of unique vendors.

I go there every year. They have the nicest craft show. Wear good walking shoes.

Went in for a expo and it was a nice place to visit

The bleachers floors were sticky but over all bathrooms were accommodating.

Always has unique events! Sports, expos, conferences, a bar, etc.

One of the worst venues you could end up at. Parking is always a minimum of $10, BESIDES the price of the event. No way yo park on the street. Facility is not kept up. Barely any AC running. Locker rooms are tiny. Seating is first come first serve and poorly positioned. Dread every time I have to go to this place.

A large center located in Villa Park for various events that is located near a network of expressways. There is plenty of space for craft booths, sports events, a small section that has a limited food service & a large parking lot.

Went here to attend the Rubix cube competition. Ventilation was not that good...otherwise a decent place.

First of all food is terrible
Second I bought a small size drink for $3 RIP OFF
I BOUGHT 2 nachos 2 drinks for $15
They don't let you even refill your drink so if you go for a refil 3 times with a small drink it's $9
And they make you park for $10
This place is crap I'm never going here again and I suggest you not to go if you wanna save money
