Nurses were fantastic! We went to the ER for a deep laceration near my toddler's eye and the staff was prompt, courteous, and helpful. I wasn't wowed but this wasn't the point of going to the hospital in first place. The security guard was professional but friendly and the front desk was efficient. overall I felt we were given adequate care in a timely manner by qualified staff. There are some amazing people that work here and hospital beauracray is a neccessary evil, they managed it well and my son was well cared for.

The Pricing for procedures here are way over priced!! Look at what my CT scan Costed me $4000 .... Compared to about 16 or 50 miles away at a different facility $1200...Not sure why their Ct Scans are worth 4x the price.... Prepare to be in debt the rest of your life if your sick and go here... Something needs to be done with this...

No treatment is worth $500? Really? Provide literally no service, no aid, tell me to go home, then charge me $500 because I "received a referral for surgery and didnt act on it." I can tell you right now, I didn't receive anything, I wasn't given any choice on what was done that day, and I'm supposed to pay them for this? I don't know if it's a sick joke or what, but I'd literally rather take care of any injuries or illnesses myself. I would rather leave a broken finger to mend itself, because so far I'm two for two on having important issues ignored here while receiving a hefty bill.

My review is about the Cancer Care Center. I was ...

My review is about the Cancer Care Center. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 bone cancer in the head and neck on May 25th 2016. Due to the complexity of the surgery. Dr. Sonnenburg , an otolaryngology ( Ear Nose and Throat Specialist / Surgeon) that had first discussed my case with me was very upfront and helpful. He made the decision that due to the size of the tumor and type of surgery I would need, he would place me under the care of another Otolaryngologist / Oncologist within the Aurora system but was located in Milwaukee. I appreciated his honesty and candor. I've been going between Marinette, Green Bay and Milwaukee for nearly 3 years as a result of the cancer. Each step of the way, I had someone from the facility always helping me. I never felt alone or that I had to put on a brave front. Most of my visits were spent in laughter, but yes, some in tears. The nurses, bless each and everyone of them!, are wonderful People are quick to post or talk to everyone they meet about a bad visit or situation, but few will do the same about a good one. A negative comment will hit 10 people in minutes, a positive one will take a year to get to 3 people. Sad but if you think about it, most likely not too much of an exaggeration.
I would personally like to take a moment to thank every single member of my medical team. The physicians, the nurses, the front desk staff, the volunteers that would visit me if I was overnight or longer, and yes, the staff in the gift shop and pharmacy for sometimes just taking a moment to visit even when I was browsing. Nobody there ever made me feel ugly or self conscious about my face due to the damage by cancer. I'm still going through reconstruction but all that did was create a bigger cheer club for me from them. They know me by name, the hugs are free and often given. The Doctors have always made me feel like I can tell them or ask anything and not be awkward about it. Though I wish to thank them by name, that would be another mile long post. Instead, to all of you, thank you. You have made my very difficult life a bit easier and mostly, you have given me hope and reason to keep fighting. My deepest gratitude to whomever decided that BAMC/Aurora should be built and by whom it should be staffed, kudos to you! You have fans in my family, my friends and especially in this very little Croatian woman.

I recently had a knee injury which a local Dr referred me to get an MRI. Three days of phone calls getting me nowhere I went to the emergency room. In hopes of getting the MRI even at my own expense. I was told I had to have an orthopedic Dr refural. They simply would not even schedule an MRI unless it's life or death. I've had this type of injury before with the turnaround time being 24 hrs start to finish. I'm not sure what changed with this place but it's definitely not for the better. Unless I am taken there by ambulance I will not be going back.

8/23/18 Just had a VERY frustrating phone call with Aurora @ Home, then went in and the condescending language continued. but since I was there in person she could now make condescending faces at me. It seems she doesn't completely have a grasp on the English language, and lacks any people skills. She was able to solve the issue, but it sure wasn't worth it. Just switched to Bellin!!!!! Too bad I can't give them 1/2 Star!

My youngest daughter was seen at the Marinette Hospital prior to this facility opening. The so-called professional staff at that hospital misdiagnosed the symptoms and 12 hours after she visited the ER, she was brought in by rescue and passed away. This is a very incompetent staff and I hope no one ever has to deal with them. As someone else said, they don't even deserve 1/2 star.

My 82year old mother was brought to Aurora Bay Area Hospital ER Marinette for Stroke level Blood Pressure by Ambulance from her Assisted Living Facility. The ER gave her Tylenol, ran a Chest Scan and discharged her to be taken back at 2am in the middle of a White-Out Blizzard with treacherous road conditions. She still had Stroke Level Blood Pressure and Confusion. My Mom had some type of Stroke and they did nothing to help her. Do not go to this Hospital Facility!

Went to ER at midnight because my 6 month old has a bad cold and started vomiting/was too stuffy to nurse, the doctor talked to us for about 3 minutes and never came back or gave me instructions or told me how to help. We went in at midnight and didn't get out until 3:30 am. HAD to ask if we could leave because no-one ever came back to our room.

Wisconsin and Michigan peeps.... Bay Area hospital...

Wisconsin and Michigan peeps.... Bay Area hospital changed hands a year ago... has anyone seen any improvement? I know the 3 times we needed the ER in the last 30 years had all been useless with my last encounter of 2013 was the last time I will ever step foot there. I know in June of 2013 my beautiful mother in law, Wanda was brought to their ER by me for a chest X-ray to check for fluid in her lungs which she was being treated for... their ER X-ray tech took her for X-ray and when they brought her back they said that was rough on her well they made her lay flat for the X-ray instead of allowing her to stand so needless to say she never came home. I have been told they changed hand but I don t see any change.
Now even with the change of hands my son encounter poor care at the ER. his son hurt his finger on the trampoline and he was taken to this ER in Marinette... finger x-ray and 1500+ dollars later..,, oh did I tell you that not the ER person nor the paramedics could splint or wrap his finger..., Jr had too ... but was still charged this ridiculous amount. Oconto Falls and Oconto both have awesome little hospital with ER so food for thought.,,,,, What about you?? Share your story

This place is a complete joke! I went in there for a sinus issue. Next thing you know. My fiance and I are being held against our will for over 6 hours. All because I was honest and told them I have postpartum and TBI which stands for traumatic brain injury. After being asked if I was depressed or ever had suicidal thoughts. They ran all kinds of tests on me. Not letting us know what was going on. 2 in which were a drug test and a blood alcohol test.

We brought our newborn in for treatment. Rooms are very nice, nurses are super nice. The nutrion room is nice. Things my wife didn't like - used items in the baby carts including used Vaseline. We were ok with the open diaper package although it did seem odd. Open container if baby wipes also odd but we used them. Since the patient was a baby no one was really listed as a patient so almost every time we ordered food we had to go to the nurses station for them to call. There is no way to talk to anyone in dietary as it is only an answering machine. No one even calls the room before the kitchen closes to make sure you get food. Nurses were even dumbfounded. Cleaning lady only refilled tp didn't empty with trash can that was full. My wife was more concerned with some unsanitary practices.

Bellin was awesome. Always new supplies. Always willing to help. Zero issues with food orders. Downside is the hour drive each way.

Having spent roughly a decade on the patient relations side of healthcare, including three years for the most-acclaimed teaching hospital in the state, I m delighted to have this highly-professional hospital in our community. The staff is skillful, attentive, friendly and caring. A good deal of attention is paid to patient education; the patient and patient s family members are never left wondering about diagnosis or treatment. Communication is top notch. Moreover, the hospital is continually striving to improve its health-care delivery and patient care. BAMC is a local treasure!

Had an EKG and the nurse/tech switched the leads so the test came out badly. Went back the next day to have another and requested a copy. The birthdate on the test was. Wrong. Hospital billed me for both tests even though they screwed up the first one. Just one of several bad experiences with this hospital. Severe lack of professionalism. They're right out of Hooterville.

My husband went into the ER on Monday night. They were very busy (every room was full), but the care they provided was still exceptional. He was diagnosed with appendicitis and spent the night so he could have surgery the next day. He was scheduled for surgery at 11, but they got him in almost an hour early and then we spent another night on the med surg floor. The staff was remarkable and extremely accommodating for not only my husband, but also myself. The nurses were very quick to respond when paged and the whole hospital was very clean.
