Odawa Casino Resort Reviews

We were sent a card to come for a promotion, so after driving an hour to get there, we are told that they had run out of promotional gifts the day before, but would give us e-credits instead. Then we go to have the Saturday night prime rib dinner and are told that they don't have any prime rib ready, other than some that they sliced and cooked on the grill. It was burnt and like eating paper. So all in all it was a very wasted trip. Games were not paying, so went home very disappointed.

Current atmosphere but to smokey, great restaurant.

Good food... customer service is little questionable.....they are great, however not for big crowds with families.

I went to the Buffet with my family to celebrate a birthday. My family really enjoyed all the food. I wish there had been more vegetarian options. But other than that it was great. The service was phenomenal.

We went for the buffet, VERY disappointing! Food quality has suffered over the years!It used to be quite good for that venue but I doubt we will be returning. Who runs out of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving?

Garbage and the old blonde haired bartender was a very rude person. Never again.

Staff was really nice and polite and the rooms were clean.. The bed was just right for me, I actually slept almost all night which I never do because I have narcolepsy.

The only part I will go to is the cafe great food excellent service... Other parts of the casino I stay away from

Everyone was very pleasant, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good. All in all, very enjoyable stay.

One of the nicer casinos I've been in, waitresses and staff are very nice and helpful. The casino as well as the hotel are kept clean and organized. Easy to find, just wish the casino and hotel were in the same building. Definitely worth visiting.

I had fun not as big as the casinos in Detroit but hey at least they open unlike Detroits 3

What and awesome place! I love going places and giving all my money away lol. Actually I played for hours on forty dollars it was so much fun. I never want to win big I just want to play for a while and that's what I did. Everyone is so friendly. The buffet is amazingly delicious. Every thing is sick and span clean including the bathrooms. Love this place!!!

Only went to the restaurant but enjoyed my food and excellent service!

It was fun, but nothing like the ones in Las Vegas.

Went for the crab leg buffett. Crab legs could have been of a better quality, kinda small, dirty looking, average taste but not outstanding. Prime rib was very good, a lot of the other foods tasted good as well. Staff very friendly.

Friendly staff. Everyone was wearing masks. The staff were cleaning the machines. The place is always clean.

Last couple a trips to this casino proved what I thought would happen. They have tightened up the machines to make up for the covid19 shutdown. No new slots for the last year or so. Will not return for a long time. Was there for 5hrs never seen anybody hit much

Nice place. Food in both buffet and snack bar is good. Gaming options are good also.

It was awesome for me, I walked away on the plus side. Had the buffet at $20 per person. All in all it was pretty good. Some of the food was not very hot, but the steak and ribs were awesome! If you get the Players Card, which is free, you get discounts on merchandise and food.

I did use the valet and they left both my windows down in the pouring rain and my car was soaking soaking wet. I let them know. That should not ever happen. The casino came through and offered me to get it detailed. Thank you!

Me and my friends had gone up there my friends were spending money i spent a little I just don't gamble much, well me and one of my friends were walking around and getting drinks at the circle bar my friend paid for the first round and when I went to pay for the second which was just a beer an captain and coke the bartender first handed us waters then told us we should space out our drinks... Literally after two beers and my friend had two captain and cokes, and we were no where near drunk....... And we even drank the waters for the guy and on our third round he wouldn't serve me... I feel like this happens to alot of people who aren't Gambling or ya know maybe in tie-dye shirt get treated differently, I seen other people wasted getting drinks, and these people who had been there just as long still getting drinks, and it's not the first time it's happened and I rarely go there...

DO NOT TRUST THE SHUTTLE! They'll pick you up asap, but you'll wait an hour or more to get back to your hotel. They seem to intentionally make you wait at the casino to spend more money. Maybe that's some people's idea of a good time - but it's certainly not mine!!!

Went on the 4th of July - time being, plenty of low minimum tables. Didn't realize you have to pay for drinks even while you're playing, but I should have asked first! All in all, a fun time - but definitely dark and smokey inside - pretty much what you'd expect at a casino though.

Very poor payouts didn't see anyone hit any thing quick to take the money

Nice place, barely any alcohol in drinks. Rum and coke was basically coke and coke. $4 for a a rum and coke and it was just a coke.

Love the crab legs and prime rib buffet. Only on Thrusday. Crab legs buffet is over at the end of October. Playing the slots are fun too.

Was alot of fun tonight and I can't wait until they come back in August

Went with my family for the buffet for Easter. Was overpriced and really packed. But all the workers were super nice and the food was great.

Staff is very polite as well as informative. Enjoyed my visit.

The site says open 24 hours get there and the hours are 9-2 things must really be going well if that's how they operate. Can't wait to see how tight the machines are.

What a nice casino. The Detroit casinos could learn from this place. Spacious, remarkably friendly staff, amazing air quality (I didn't notice the smokers at all), and the games actually let you win a little lol

Great buffet with lots of options. Thursday crab is definitely a must! Come here for food, gambling is not recommended. Their tables are either fully automated or automated shuffling, machines are super tight. Go to Turtle Creek for gambling and come here for food.

Didn't win any money this particular visit but bar service is always good. Good seafood buffet. Fun events, attended a concert and comedy show in the past for very reasonable prices. You can always find an open slot machine, they just upgraded and got some new machines. Always a fun and positive experience.

Way smaller on the inside then the outside. I didnt have any luck but it's a casino, house always wins. I had there burger which tasted good. But a few hours later I wasn't feeling so well and ended up being sick. No sure it was the burger but it was the only thing I ate that night. I did have fun while loosing my bases money so I'm not gonna complain to much. I will say I'd recommend better staff. I asked where the smoking section was and the staff looked me in the face and said try quitting that way you dont need to ask. I wasn't to happy at him but I walked away and found another staff member which was very nice to me and actually walked with me to show me where the smoking section was located.

Smaller casino but fun and allow you to actually win or at least have some fun while playing. Very friendly and good selection of games.

Couldve given Odawa a 5 but the smoke in certain places is really intense. So if you're sensitive to the chemicals of smoke you might wanna be careful at this casino. I had to go through dodging smoke like I was dodging bullets, bobbing and weaving

What a great casino! And thank you so much for allowing RVs to park in your lot, it made it so nice to be able to come in for a little play time inside, to include a wonderful buffet! Can't wait till the next time I'm up here visiting, I'll be back! Highly recommended!

Nice casino, clean, pay outs we ok. Walked out with $250 in winnings. Others in my group not so lucky!

First of all the free breakfast here only has like 5 things to choose from. Second of all the room that me and my family got was not cleaned right for example, there was dirt and hair on the sealing in the bathroom. Third of all do not get the pull out beds because y o u can feel and hear the springs on the bed. Other than these things every thing was good, like the pool and hot tub that was very fun!

Always a fun place to visit. The Friday night buffet is GREAT.
There are areas to rest and have a hand dipped ice cream cone. Yummy

Stop on our girls trip for a bite. The restaurant was a joke. No bartender, host was serving food, went to bar stood with noone in sight to help us. Tables and Bar were littered with dirty dishes and trash. The thought of what was going on in the kitchen scared us. We didn't dare to test out gambling.

Always a fun place to spend time with your friends and spend your money.

If you just want to have a little fun and not a real gambler a few minutes is ok. If you are a play to win person, your chances are really really slim.

Love the buffet, rarely am I ever disappointed with the food, and the staff is super friendly. They have all sorts of things to do each month, and it is never a boring time!

Fairly large casino. Lots of newer machines. Burger and fries at the grill were delicious!! We stayed at the Holiday Inn and their free limo dropped us off and picked us up!!

Fun casino. Good selection of slot machines. The restaurant we had gone there for, Sage, I think, was closed so we ended up eating at the grill.

Nice, clean but pretty small. We booked a room assuming the resort would be connected to the casino but that isn't the case.

We love Odawa and come here whenever we in the Petoskey area.

Very clean environment with friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of gaming options to include slots, table games and poker tables. Valet and self park option available spacious and well kept grounds. Restaurant, cafe and gift shop availability too. Very nice experience.
