Odawa Casino Resort Review

We visited while on vacation. Seemed to have a good payout.

Good hotel, they are going through many renovations! The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is fantastic! We stay there every year and it keeps getting better

Good place to see a show, eat and try to win some dough.

I used to go there more regularly,however,life has not been kind to me this past year. I took my son for St. Patrick's day buffet. Great food as usual,but because I've lost almost 60pounds,I found out that I couldn't stuff myself like I used to. Had a great time anyway. Hope this helps someone.

We play the slots usually and have always left with all our own money (and sometimes host money!). Love the Saturday night prime rib buffet; nice selection of wholesome and NOT overcooked food. Compares favorably to the same buffet at Soaring Eagle. The Aurora buffet. Wait staff and cooks were friendly and attentive. The Rib steak tips and mushrooms we're mouth watering. Good time, good meal.

Great place to go to have some fun and drinks. Staff was very friendly and the place was pretty clean for a casino. Lots of smoke in the building though, not the best air quality.

It's fun, but didn't get very fast service. Although the series were nice and friendly. But way short staffed and overworked.

The stay wasn't bad the last three-four times we stayed chances are we'll never go back there we'll go to Petoskey beautiful town but not to the casino I know they don't force anybody to go there but we like to go to the casinos but you don't even get a chance to even play and have fun

Inside was open and modern compared to most casinos we've been to across the country. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable when we needed assistance or asked questions. Definitely will make a return visit when we are in the area.

Had a great time and the food is the best around !!!!! Me and my wife drive from the UP. Just for dinner sometimes !!!

It is a decent casino but nothing to write home about. The place smelled quite heavily of smoke, which was a big turn off for me. I stayed maybe 15 minutes and that was long enough for me to make up my mind about it. I wouldn't go there again.

Craft show was awesome!!! Got a $5 for slot play and $5 table games!!!!

Friendly, clean, and spacey. But, the games seem to be much less "giving" rather than A LOT of places elsewhere. Probably wont be spending much more money on future vacations.

Clean, smoking in building, some wins and losses, buffet has great food!

Bartender in the center was extremely rude and miserable, she killed my vibe... waitress serving the floor also seemed miserable... security officer taking temps and IDs was very nice, so was Ariel and the cashier at the little restaurant... both the machines and bathroom were clean... wish they accepted other tribes tribal ids

What a joke... THE RUDEST AND MOST CROOKED employment I have ever seen! I ordered a drink and then got followed around by two little guys with a badge on a power Trip who took my drink and said I have had too much to drink. I was by myself doing absolutely nothing wrong... Management refuses to return my phone calls. It was my second drink and I paid for it... They stole from me... Never have I had a good experience with this place.. I would be ashamed to work here... I will never go back and give them a single penny of my money...

We did not stay at the casino so can t comment on that. We went for dinner at the buffet. When we requested a booth instead of a table( there was one five feet away) , the server grumbled about a three mile walk and proceeded to lead us across the room to a booth. Unprofessional, but not a huge deal. When we went to the buffet we were surprised by the low quality of the food and the undercooked meat. The salad and dessert were both great but can t make up for the price of the meal. We were so disappointed!

Nice casino...give and take at the slots. We gave and they took....

It is good I went to the buffet if you are a foodie then the buffet is not what you would expect but as far as petoskey goes it is a great place to get large quantities of food

You can get a good selection of food at the buffet. The service is good and lots of fun can be had.

Well, it was fun. Had an absolute blast. Had a rude encounter with an employee but I guess that's expected sometimes. I was thinking of bringing my son there this evening and just getting a room there, but I am someone who takes offense easily. We shall see, maybe I should gripe about that chick to see if it gets me a free room... lol... I wouldnt do that, people have bad days, I'd feel horrible about getting someone fired or even yelled at. My name ain't "Karen" lmao.

Let me give you some advice. If you go to any casino and you see the payout window empty or 1 or 2 people and the slots and tables are full that means they not paying that day. Walk out. They open 24 hours 7 days a week. No need to rush.

Tightest slots I have ever seen. On a positive note, the staff seemed friendly and approachable.

Quaint yet exciting casino. A lot of cleaning going on (covid), non smoking, and the bar was never far away as it's centrally located. Will be back

They need to do something about the air quality. There was no place to check our costs so we carried them around and it has to be the only place left in America where you can still smoke. The air handling was so bad there was literally a cloud over the whole room. Our clothes and coats reeked. Spent 30 minutes there and thought going back to our hotel to watch reruns would be more fun.

Fun casino, they used to be really smoky but they aren't anymore. Must be because of Covid? They had some new games that I had never seen before. I especially enjoyed the Monty Python and the holy grail slot machine.

Machines are very tight. Spent 3 hours there and saw no action on our groups machines or any other machines. Will not try again. Save your money.

Casino was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Had a good selection of slot and table games. Will return.

Trash laying everywhere on every flat surface...very smoky compared to most casinos. Pretty much gross.

Service was great! But the food was blah...wish it would of be better...for 21.95 per person!

I have always found the slots to be very tight since they moved from across the street, I don't go here anymore.

Smaller casino but clean and I walked out with a little more than when I went in. Actually, three out of four of us did, so obviously that boosts their rating. LOL! Only down side is it is still a smoking casino. If they had been non smoking, they would have got the last star.

Outstanding casino and well worth a visit for gaming and occasional events, esp. during the summer months.

My husband and I love going here. It's not the biggest casino which is very nice for beginners, or people who don't like feeling overwhelmed but plenty of tables and machines. We go here usually on date night, but sometimes just in a whim.

Tonight the buffet featured crab and prime rib night. Very tasty and extraordinary busy. Nice casino with smoking allowed. The facilty rivals many Las Vegas establishments and even better! Well appointed casino with slots, table games, Roulette and more.

Ok place if you need some time to kill in Petoskey. I'm not the biggest gambler, but it's fun to come in an try to play a few tables. Buffet was decent. I don't know if I'd come up just for it, but worth checking out if you're in the area.

Very nice casino, enjoyed my short stay. I came in on a bus and the staff seemed accommodating. Our players cards were made and ready when we got there, no need to wait in line. The machines all appeared to be in good working order. The buffet was cheaper than other casinos I have been to and it was pretty good with a nice variety.

I go there for the buffet. We have had birthday and anniversary celebrations. The food is tasty and plentiful. The wait staff are always so welcoming and friendly.

Ozawa used to be a pretty good casino. It had one of the best buffets. It had a pretty good mix of old and new slot machines, and the machines had some good payouts. But we noticed that when the tribe opened their second casino, things went downhill. The buffet went from a full-service one to salad and pizza. The buffet lost a lot of customers, too. For awhile, it looked like the slots selection looked pretty stagnant, although we went there last week and there were some new machines. Payouts were still slim. Since we're about 300 miles away, we don't go here too frequently. On some of our visits to Petosky, we drove right by the casino road and kept on going. I don't know what the tribe was thinking about when they opened the other casino but as far as we can see, they really messed up this one.

Could stand going to a casino for the first time in a long time. No smoking so it no longer smells like a nasty wet ashtray. No buffet though.

I came for the drag show at Ozone and had such a great time! The cast was awesome, the hosts we're Hilarious, and the whole crowd seemed to be having a blast. Not to mention, the drinks were inexpensive, and the stage was So Cool! Plus, the first penny slot machine I went to after the show I won $72 after One Pull! I hear there might be another show around Halloween -- I hope there is! I can't wait to go again!

My brother and I had a wonderful time up there the staff was very friendly. Very big portions. And the side orders were huge. All in all I would recommend going here highly if you're looking for early price food

Hotel and food are great but stay out of the gambling. These two locations have given me the worst payouts out of any casino I've been to. If you can't hit early, time to go.

I've never been hand paid a jackpot at this location. Have occasionally walked out with more than I've come with but overall machines can eat you up quick! I've seen big winners on the Facebook page but haven't been able to bless it with a photo of myself yet.

Fun diversion. Nice place. Ate at sage it was very good. Was not crowded so easy to get a seat at a table or a fun slot.

Very nice staff. Lots of servers to attend to you. Do not like the cigarette smoke. May not return as a result.

Cozy interior in lobby and dining areas. Our bed, in room 114, was a bit lumpy, pillows are thin and don't allow for reading upright in bed. Thin sheets and blankets. The breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hot tub and pool area are spacious. Nice casino.

Check-in at Hotel takes 4x longer than anywhere in the USA. Tends to have noisy guests. Like the small size of the casino

Good place to lose a quick 20 bucks, make sure you drink a soda as you leave.

First time gambling, had fun. Lost some money. Would go again.

The casino it self was fun. Stay away from the grill inside! We ordered the bacon cheeseburger, chicken fingers and fries. The bacon was bad. Had a very strange taste and smell. Threw off the whole burger. Chicken fingers were over cooked and dry. Fries were the only edible thing. We ended up getting better food at the meijer gas station.

Dont let them scan your Michigan i.d they checking for warrents and to see if u banned from the casino and if its either one best believe tribal police showing up

Use to play here A lot but lately haven't really been hitting, but that's why it's called gambling...I guess. Still have people that ask if you'd like a drink, which is starting to be a novelty at other casinos. All in all a nice friendly casino.

Played wheel of fortune slot. $20 which is not much I get it but the machine ripped us off. Called the manager and he checks it and try telling us we played two spins at $10 which was bs. When he checks the machine everyone has riiiiight! It s a $1 guy come on. Questioned him he says yes everyone has. Long story short check the tape bc this is not how to run a casino. We left immediately after. We are locals as well and will not recommend as you may see.

Slots super tight. Just donate a hundred to the first Indian you see and go home.

Buffet is wonderful. Good service and great food. Very clean restrooms. Free dry camping in quiet lot. Safe and secure.

Table hours:
A 40 minute drive from Gaylord but then find out they have different table hours than open hours. I couldn't find that information on website. fri-sun tables open at 2 pm.mon-thurs open 4 pm

Great place to go good winnings when I go staff is outstanding clean bathrooms of course Foods awesome and hotel stays up to standards so it's a go for me every time I've been there!

The Odawa Casino is a very nice casino. It's interior and exterior are gorgeous with $5 min tables. Great place to hang out and gamble for a couple hours. Dealers could be more interactive and the pit bosses could be a little less creepy.

The food is 5 star. ..but I'm allergic to smoke and the only way to the restaurant is going by the casino....I would go more often if there was another way into the restaurant without so much smoke... Very hard to breath :( but the food and prices are AWESOME!!!!

Consistently if you enter you lose.......... I've learned my lesson. No payouts ever, no reason to return. A fools game.

Doing everything right during pandemic had a relaxing time and got to see my friend

This is a fantastic, fabulous casino....high end quality, great staff, great machines and table games. We ate at the most wonderful restaurant...it is the best buffet and restaurant in Petoskey. Variety unending...great quality, taste and food that is cooked to perfection. The staff is courteous and professional. Keep up the good work.
