sucked. management allows players to go on course between tee time. course gets over crowded. too many people on course.

Great golf course, good conditions and even if the greens were a little beat up we could see that they are trying to get em back in shape. Rates are pretty good too.

Nice course, especially for a municipal. Fairways have good grass and greens are in great shape.

Folks , very helpful and informative. Just missing left handed equipment.

Course is almost never in good shape but this place is GREAT to play cheap weekdays after work, very laid back and friendly staff; great place to have more fun and not be so competetive; you don't have to have an under armor endorsement to play here. Great beer course. Effectively zero practice area however.

Friendly staff, course in awesome shape and reasonable prices, course drains well so when other courses are cart path only you can play here 90 degree. Great snack bar with convenient call ahead ordering.
Play here with group of ladies at least once a week
If you havent played the course lately, a nice surprise awaits you, a beautiful spacey clubhouse! And more renovations to come for the old one, owner is really stepping up to beautifying course and clubhouse

Staff was awful!! Terrible customer service at all.

Shot a 80 and It was cold. We have a blitz on Saturday and Sunday at 9am come on out and join the fun

Really nice and fairly easy course. Only complaint is the bunkers weren t in the best condition but overall a great course.

GOLFERS BEWARE!!!!!THE GREENS ARE HORRIBLE!!!! Tee boxes are terrible. Fairways barely have grass. 25 dollar deal on golf now is not a deal. The only reason I would recommend this course is if you are working on shots into the greens. The staff was nice.

The golf course needs a little bit a work it's a little dry the greens are not prepared and it is not ready. The front desk staff was not very helpful and they could use a little help there golf course overall I'd give it about a 4

The course is really shaping up at the beginning of the golf season for 2019. There is a lot of grass on them soon as I start cutting down a little bit they will be really nice.

Horrible golf coarse. People who play there all the time hate outsiders and are rude . it should be a private coarse ..it really is anyway . played there a couple times .i won't be going back . I was a single twice there and a foursome would not let me play thru .It happened twice . I was suppose to play 18 but only played 9 because they would not let me play thru . they really do not want outsiders playing there .

Great place to play the crew is alway willing to get you on the course.

The grounds are kept clean and neat. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable.

This course should be shut down until COVID 19 is gone. The golfers are not practicing social distancing, not wearing masks. In the meantime our number of cases are increasing daily. Since when is golfing essential. STAY HOME

Garbage course...sand traps were full of water and the ones not...hard as concrete. Extremely slow play...expect 6 hour 18 holes...poor course managememt

The course was well maintained with the exception of a few greens. Pace of play was excellent. Well worth the cost.

Bunkers are in really bad need of sand. Fairly short Par 71 course but always fun to play. The staff is exceptionally nice, including the pro there, Andy Giles, who always makes you feel welcome. Exceptionally well priced!

Really impressed with the shape of the course compared to many other courses in the area. Fairways were the most impressive and like pillows to hit off. Greens were punched a little while ago it looked but still rolled pretty good. Some bunkers were awful but didn't ruin the round. Also nice little bar inside to grab food. Staff was friendly but beware no range on the course with the exception of a 50 yard chipping area where you grab your own balls. Course was easy but enjoyable will be back in the future.

Meh. Pretty clean, well kept. Carts were in good shape. Not much to look at, but price is right. Probably wouldn't go again but wouldn't knock it too bad either.

My wife, best friend & I played Ocean View for the first time on yesterday, taking advantage of their Terrific Tuesday internet special. It's hard to beat a $16 round of golf, including cart.

Contrary to other reviewers, we thought that the staff was very welcoming. Leo in the pro shop is a generous soul, he was more than happy to have us and Bernie seemed to us to be a great guy. Steph & the other gals behind the bar were great too.

The course, as it is, I think it's a fine city course. Perhaps not the most pastoral, as the fairways are a bit close together...but the they are well maintained and the greens in particular are quite nice.

I can understand why advanced players might feel that slower groups slow the pace of play down too much here. But frankly, we just let people play through. It's golf. It's supposed to be fun. No need to get testy, folks.

We are very fond of this course & the friendly folks there, and we will be playing there again.

I love going with my husband to this course. The wildlife are amazing to watch as well.

Cheap golf that is close to my home. Mixers are Friday nights.

Pretty nice little par 70. Starter had an attitude and was rude to us because of a conflict with the T times which wasn't our fault. Smh still had fun.

I'd give it 5 stars if the greens were in better shape. Fairways are excellent. Nice staff. Great pace of play. Food was good but a little pricey for what you get. They're working on the greens, which is good. Obvious they take care of the place. Lots of history here. Fun course. A few hundred yards from the Chesapeake Bay.

I grew up in ov and used to skip classes at Granby High just to learn from Granby golf team. I'm 50 now and drive from Va Beach just to play on my old stumping grounds.

Nice local golf course that I enjoy playing when I'm in Va on vacation. Greens are in good shape and putts roll good not to fast. Fairways in good shape with all the rain that has befallen prior to playing. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Home course....play here often. Fairly crowded on weekends, but good pace during the week.

First impressions mean everything...ProShop cashier never looked up, had to say Good Morning twice before being acknowledged. He was not very welcoming, at all. The Starter was great though!

The course was beautiful but the people and how we were treated that made this experience. Rude comments from both the staff and members who were more experienced. We will definitely not be using this course in the future. Caution to anyone who is a beginner in golf learn somewhere else, not this place.

OVGC has come a long way since I first played it 9 years ago. Unfortunately due to excessive rains the day before we played. it was cart path only, but the course played well. The greens and fairways are in better shape than I have seen in a long time. Finally , it's not like putting on concrete.

Price is right.. greens are great and God Bless America..

A short easy to play course that will challenge most players. Be sure to say hey to the fox living in the bunker of the par 3 13th hole.
