Truly a gem of South Surrey, one of my favorite spots both for dinner and drinks after work.
Quick service with excellent food. We were a group of eight and they accommodated us easily. The meatloaf burger was juicy and delicious.
Enjoyable dinning experience. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. The food was good. Going there with friends is definitely worthwhile. I would go again.
Good food, good staff, sometimes restaurant gets crowded.
Great food, good prices and good service. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Wheel Chair friendly entrance and washroom.
My absolute favourite pizza in South Rock! A must try!
Good food, friendly servers, convenient location. Wonderful neighbourhood pub and restaurant.
Super-friendly staff and food was delicious with big portions. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate kids and help! Will definitely be back :)
The pub is very nice, the staff is pleasant and the pizza is still the best in town.
2017-12-27 Good beer selections. Had the fish and chips and a pepperoni pizza - both were disappointing. The actual cod filet was small but cooked well - juicy and not over done. The batter was a huge gloppy mess of undercooked dough, about triple the volume of the actual fish fillet. Fries were pre-cut food service grade (no surprise) but serviceable. The pepperoni pizza was very old-school in preparation and ingredients - the kind of pizza that forms two distinctive layers; the crust and a combined layer of toppings that kind of slides off all together, and doesn't make for a very cohesive pizza eating experience. Service was decent (when we complained about the fish, the server asked what she could do to make it right, and I felt like they would have re-made the fish if asked). Ended up just accepting a 20% discount on the fish and chips. Probably won't be back, unless it's just for beers pre/post dinner elsewhere.
I think the restaurant is amazing and the owners are an unreal family. Also extremely beautiful people too. The food and drinks make the experience an all around 10/10
typical pub food, smells better after a couple of beers, flavour does not live up to the promise.
Manager essentially called me a liar. Have been coming here since 1991, when it was that old building. I have enjoyed paying a premium for quality food here, however I am miffed at management tonight. At the beginning of December 2020 I ordered calamari and when I got home we were all disappointed to see no sauce (which everyone knows is necessary to enjoy it). They were very busy and so being considerate I thought I would simply mention next time I came in/called in. Fast-forward to tonight, I explained the situation and manager came out to tell me I should have called in on the night the incident happened so they could leave a $10 gift card for me. I told him I didn t call in as I knew they were busy and would just deal with it when I called in next. Manager said he would not do anything about it now as I didn t call in there and people say things all the time. I looked at him like he had no clue of the thousands of dollars I poured into his establishment over the last 3 decades. I m still stunned at the level of insensitivity displayed tonight. --- EDIT: This comment now is being added 4 months later; I have only gone back twice since for Pizza pick-up instead of what would have normally been 10 visits. I explained to everyone in the house the situation and have been encouraged to not patronize Ocean Park Village Pub anymore. I have since been going to panago next door and making the trip up to Dominos (24th and KG)... Dominos has good pizza at half the price. The managers decision has cost him several hundred in sales, made me richer, and opened my eyes to new experiences. Life is better not going to Ocean Park Village Pub for anything. I also heard the old garage (ex gas station) behind the Chevron on Crescent Road just changed hands and they have plans to make a better place than Ocean Park Village Pub at that location, a friend of mine saw the design draft -- looking forward to seeing this open asap.
Great pizza and good atmosphere. It's a great place to grab a bit to eat and have a few drinks. I have been here a few times now over the last year. And itvhas always been a good place. The staff is very friendly and they have amazing pizza. If you have not been it's well worth the trip.
This place was the best place for food in Vancouver tkns a lot
Large portions of deliciousness. One of our go tos.
Remarkable!! The staff are incredibly friendly and offer a very respectable level of protection from covid. Their protocols of social distancing and preventative measures are reassuring and great for the community. I loved every minute of this place. Highly recommended
I have one word to describe this place: WOW! OP Pub has been a staple for me and my friends for years now. Whether we are getting together to celebrate a birthday, just going out for dinner, or wanting to watch the Canucks, this is our place. The service is exceptional, they have an awesome selection of craft beers, and the food is great! The pizzas are my favourite, try the Chicken Feta!!!
Ocean Park Pizza is certainly OK. It's not outstanding, chances are you won't be disappointed.
I will return, because it's OK and convenient, but it's not WOW!
Wonderful as usual. Great food! Good to see kosta again.
Typical neighborhood pub. Service is good but a bit slow. Food is not that great and a bit expensive, but with large portiond.
Pizza was so so. It's a new York style pizza, not Neapolitan at all. Very greasy.
Chicken tenders were generous but just ok.
Fries and burger are good.
Food is delicious, drinks are great, staff are always helpful and friendly.
Awesome place to hangout. Great food. Reasonable prices
I have loved OP Pizza but the last time we got it it tasted like someone spilt the salt shaker on the pizza. Will give it another try sometime again. I'm sure it was just a one of. Cheers
Filthy, the floor is black with dirt, and the tables are sticky as a movie theatres floor. Bathrooms full of grafitti that they dont bother to remove. I can make better food at home and not be around grumpy disgruntled staff and owners.
Very pricey, food was good. They always have great pizza.
Amazing food and staff, back patio felt very cozy and safe! The procedures they are taking for Covid made us all feel very safe and well taken care of!!
Ocean Park Pizza is a family restaurant and pub where the food is excellent, the portions generous, and the service is "first class service". I am going back there to eat for sure.
It is with deep regret that I write this 2 star review. So here it goes. I'm at home, filled with stress and wallowing in my own life. As any time I'm over stressed I get take out, and stress eat.
OPP is a go to for me. So I go ahead and order my usual calamari appy and just to be a little crazy I order the chicken wings as well. My total was $29..
Now given my time of need to eat I disregard the pretty high (but normal these days) cost of this food. I get home, movie ready, tears coming and open up my food to dig in. Firstly my calamari just sucked today and my goodness that alone was a kick, but the wings were really bad. Just poorly done. Didn't taste good. And for hot wings should have been more saucy but were dry and weak sauce. (See what I did there with my early 2000s refence?) Now I'm sotto there after having a terrible week realizing that its just been topped off with my unfortunate takeout experience. Which usually fixes my underlying depression; that lets be real we all have at least a bit of. So now I'm $30 more broke and not even full. But lack the courage to call them and let them know what's up because I'll likely just cry like a psycho.
So ya. Not a fan anymore.
Rotating craft beer on tap now. Always good local breweries, with pretty good variety of brewing styles to choose from.
Not even gonna mention the pizza, everyone knows it's the best.
The best pizza in BC! Consistently the best crust and toppings. Absolutely love the food here!!
Super friendly and kind staff members!! Always do the most to make your experience memorable and positive. Also have a great rotating selection of craft beers! Some really great options for pizza and other entrees as well!! Highly recommend!!!
Standby pizza, nice atmosphere and area. Decent service
The best night I can remember in recent months is my night spent at OPP. There was live music and a celebration, the food was amazing, the staff were super friendly... Can't wait to visit OPP again!
We had an impromptu dinner here with the family tonight and the service and food was spectacular. Mandy, our server was prompt, kind and made us feel very welcome to dine here. We ordered the Roman Empire and Pepperoni pizza along with a Baja Cod Taco and we left with barely anything as most of it was eaten there. My husband hates Feta, and they made nubs on the crust to identify where it was and wasn't, something easy but makes you feel really taken care of. If you haven't tried this local gem already, bring the family out out lunch or dinner and you'll have an enjoyable experience. Also their covid guidelines are strict but manageable and ensure our safety which is just an added bonus during these times.
When you order baked tortellini it should not be oily and should at least be baked. Don t know if different cook on tonight but it was horrible. Makes me want to change my go-to place for baked pasta. I won t do the baked pasta again!
Great pizza, spaghetti and COLD BEER. GOOD SERVICE. GOING BACK AGAIN....
Gluten free beer available, a nice European style traditional pub.
Nice neighborhood pub/restaurant. Good food. Lots to choose. Good prices.
Fantastic place. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the staff were wonderful. We had come in just after they had closed the kitchen for the night, but they turned it back on for us and cooked up two pizzas! On top of that, my glass was never empty and I was continuously being attended to. I'll gladly come here anytime im in the area.
This place is home! Can't explain it any better! We love it and keep coming back week after week! Try the mushroom caps!!! Beat the keg hands down
A fairly middle of road pizza, heavy. Not to my taste, really. Ok in a pinch.
My favorite place to dine when I visit! Amazing service and even better food!!!!!!!
Always a great place, fine the bar cramped and the seating could be looked at. Not a place to go to watch a game they have TV's but view points are not great. But great food, great drink and great service! Always a go to it does get loud but very South England feel to it!
Their outdoor tent seating is warm & wonderful! Best of both worlds - safe socially distanced & fabulous food!
Amazing pizza. All other pizza will now pale in comparison!
Salt salt salt!! :0 Don't eat here unless you don't care about your blood pressure...lol
With a predominantly older crowd you would think more care would be taken with salt...
Ordered mussels (which I order so often, a favourite)--was so so salty I couldn't finish it. Then ordered chicken wings(also extremely!!salty) and told my server the order was because the mussels were so terrible, but they never offered even a discount or taking the mussels off the bill... Because it was a big group bill I guess(?) they figured they could get away with charging the max...
Will never go back.
Waitress was bizarre. She'd come and take an order from one person at the table, leave, bring their order and then take the next person. When we asked if we could sub out an ingredient, she told us they were too busy. We asked if she could ask anyways and she raised her voice and said, "Look do you want it or what?!" then left.
We just started ordering at the bar instead. The guy behind was friendly and quick so kudos to him.
Bartenders gave us amazing service. I would definitely recommend it. The pasta is unbelievable.
Pizza and craft beer are delicious. I thought it was just pizza and ate it, but after that, I keep thinking. The atmosphere of a comfortable neighborhood bar was good.
The website said they closed at mid-night but I decided to call just in case. I called the restaurant around 8:40 pm and asked what time they would be closing which they replayed 11:00 pm with last order in at 10:00 pm. So at 9:30 pm I called just in case and spoke to Isabella who said now that the kitchen was closing at 9:50 so they would not take our order if we show up just before 10:00. We went to Brows instead. Please folks be professional and stick to your business hours.
While the atmosphere and staff are terrific, the food is very bland, actually kind of tasteless. What a shame, used to be so much better.
The best pizza, the best people, the best beer, Village pub is a must visit!
Get here early. This place is often packed. Wide selection of food and beverage choices
My Grandma and I shared the chicken Greek dish and it was amazing, and very filling for the both of us! It was a nice place to have an afternoon lunch.
Great neighborhood spot. The pizza and Greek food are the best things to order here...
Loving the new outdoor patio! Great food and service!
It's the bomb sneezy. My dad and I came here yesterday; the Roman Empire is unreal. We ate a lot, like roll me out the door in a barrel amount of food, and I left feeling tubby and unjudged! Great servers, good beer selection, dope 'za. What more do ya want.
Very nice staff and selection of good food. Not too noisy.
Good food especially the pizza and lasagna. It is a great spot to catch the game with a buddy.
I cannot say enough praise for this place. Great staff, great drinks and amazing food.
