Thrilling rides, but be prepared for long queues and waiting time. Get to learn a lot about penguins, walruses, sharks and other amazing marine life. Worth a visit if one is visiting Hong Kong with a day or two to spare. For travellers with a tight schedule, this can be skipped.

Great place to enjoy rides and learn more about the ocean.

after months of protest and riots, there were not much tourists. Most of the rides does not need to line up except bumper cars. The park is still nice. The view is good when the sky is clear. I love the cable the most!!!! Go there by MTR is definitely a plus as it saves much time.

It's pretty run down, unfortunately. You can tell it was in it's prime maybe 5-10 years ago. We had fun but the park is so spread out and on such mountainous terrain that it takes a lot of up and down hill walking to get to each attraction/ride. We bought the the extra fast passes (7 for around $300hkd extra) and it wasn't worth it. Despite all the people there, the lines were not bad at all. If you really want to ride the VR mine car rollercoaster, which looked very run down as well, go there first because the line, on a slow day, was 75min. and our fast passes wouldn't work on that ride. It might be fun but we didn't want to wait that long. Overall we had a good time but the cost was just too high for what you get...

This place was one of the best attraction of Hong Kong but unfortunately with every passing year, it's charm and glitter is fading fastly. This is very unfortunate but fact that in my last three visits I was very disappointed especially in the recent one. Ocean Park is facing severe shortage of staff. Most of the food stalls are closed. Most of the rides were closed, many of park attractions were semi operational or closed due to renovation work is in progress. However, this renovation work is in progress for quite some time. It seems the management is doing delebrately to cut down the operational cost. At the same time they are charging full.ticket price with very limited rides are available to visitors as.well.as park attractions.
My suggestions;
Ocean Park is also on public funding. If they can't operate 7 days a week with full throttle then they must operate 3 or 4 days but with services a week to cover their running cost and let the guests enjoy their value of money at the same time otherwise it will become a dead elephant for both HK government and to the management of the Ocean Park.

The only place to go for such an experience in HK. Nice attractions for what its intended purpose is. A bit hilly in places but still a great place to take kids and young adults alike.

Can also be educational for kids to learn more about our ocean.

Really fun here. The aquarium is a must visit. The giant panda is sad though but there is nothing the park can do. It will not probably survive in the wild anymore. Cable car is a must try. Food and water inside is pricy so bring bottled water.

It's not that crowded in July.
Rides are awesome.
Animals too.
Can bring foods inside since some of the restaurants/stalls sells a bit but reasonable price.
Try the nathan's frank sausage just near the aquatic area souvenir shop. Costs SGD 50
Bring sun protection, and comfy outfits and footwear.
Try the abyss, the dragon and the hair riser for extreme rides.

great place to be for a whole day, love the cable car. must do in HK.

If you like mobility games, there are some mobility games here that you can enjoy. During October period, the park is themed as Halloween park.

Nice place to go, but too many people inside the park and usually need to wait with a long queue.

Clean, plenty of seating, allocated smoking areas, friendly staff and affordable. Animals are extremely well looked after and the bird show is magnificent.

It was my 3rd time to go but this was very memorable as I was with my family. Our timing was also great as all of the rides we want to take have short waiting time.

Blatantly dull and total waste of time. One of the worst I've ever been to.

Every area in the park is a few sad animals + old roller coaster + cheap old 80s dioramas. Only the deep sea aquarium is somewhat promising.

Their "shows/performances" are the most tragical: 15 minutes of reading Google facts / noisy KPop music / 1 minute of the real interaction with animals.

20% of the park is under construction.

The staff in there are really polite and friendly.They will help the visitor to locate your position if you ask them.
Moreover,the cable cars in there is pretty good.The views that you can look are underestimated and you haven't think about it .I think that the maintenance fee of the cable car must be very expensive.The cable car is the facilities in the park that I like the most.
In this park ,I have got lots of good experience.I hope that the park can attract more and more tourists and keep going for the best.

The newly open Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel besides the Park worths us a visit. The package including a deluxe room for one night, 2 Ocean Park tickets and breadfast for two costing only $2600

Had amazing day with my son today.
Fast track is worth it to skip the queues.
For me personally better than Disney land.
It s a combination between zoo and theme park.

Must visit and a great place to have fun. One day is not really enough to cover the entire place and enjoy the rides. You have to walk a lot and make sure you are prepared to do that. It is easy to miss seeing a few places in the park as it is vast but check the map provided to you in the entrance and make the Best of your visit there. Outside food is not allowed but you can probably sneak in some rolls or some other dry items. Please carry lots of water to drink. It is a Must experience place if you visit Hong Kong.

Students can get a free meal voucher when they buy their ticket

Good fun - certainly what the entire family can enjoy (compared to Disney, which is really only attractive to the kids)

Aquarium is great
The train up to the summit is somewhat silly
Summit has several good family fun rides - the best of which is the Hair Raiser.
Some rides have somewhat unreal age restrictions - like 12 and above for bumper cars... I mean, come on !
The dolphin and seal show is OK

Remember to avoid the Neptune restaurant - a VERY average meal of small proportions put me back HKD1500!

Went here on a Sunday and as expected, it was crowded. However, we managed to cover most of the park. Had booked tickets via klook to get it at a discount. The highlight for me was the cable car ride from the Waterfront to the Summit and back. The views of the sea from the Summit were breath-taking. They had well-maintained themed areas within the park. The water rides at the Summit were amazing. Only issues were with crowd management as a lot of people did not regard the queues formed for rides and the food served here was very average for the price charged. We managed to catch a glimpse of penguins and the giant panda. Overall, it was a great experience and would recommend it to people of all ages. One full day would be required to cover Ocean Park completely. It would be good to get here early to beat the crowd.

Must visit Park. its amazing to watch walrus, penguins, panda from so close.

My first visit to this place was due to the fact that it's christmas and they let you go free to see the seasonal decorations for free after 7pm I think. Go early because every minute u go later the line is gonna make you squeeze. We had at least 300meters of queue in front of us and I kid you not.. tho it's really long... it got moving really quick. Once we got up the escalator.. there is another line but it's quick.

Once at the main entrance.. The view amazes you. The whole places is full of decorations that you just forgot about the queuing nightmare you just went thru. Everywhere and anywhere is a photo op. Long story short.. I will visit them on other occasion as it's nice to just hang out even on normal days. Many restaurants and places where you could just sit and hang out.

Definitely 1 of the nicest place in hong kong. They might want to improve on the transportation going down with a train aside from the cable car. Cable car's experience is a highlight!!

Ocean Park Hongkong is a must visit place in Hongkong trip.

Can be super busy but if timed right is great for all the family. With sea shows and zoo areas mixed with rides. Be great when the mtr goes direct.

Very nice amusement park with fun games, dolphin show, shark aquarium and so on. There are lots to do for a family. It is not too busy in March unlike summer season

It caters not only for the child in us but also for the adults also.

Great for aquarium lovers with large displays including sharks and rays. Additionally, nice Panda exhibit.
Trouble with terrain. Not for small kids.

It good have very easy access to it near train station and it have a lot of fish it have a theme park too.

I honestly dread going whenever the kids twist my arm into taking them, and every time I come back surprised at how much fun it was! It's a great amusement park and buying the Fast Past is a must, however ridiculously expensive. This place has a little something for everyone, only thing it could really do with is a healthy food option.

Many rides are closed for maintainence without notice. Cannot upgrade to fast track if you have purchased tickets outside the park (at airport/7eleven)
Closing time is at 6pm earlier than advertised

Must go with kids and fun loving people. To experience the water species and have some cool time hanging out and enjoying the roller coasters... Best was the cheerful Penguins And the Big

Real panda is awesome to see...and need proper guidance to see all segments .... quite big to finish with in 6 pm

That was very fun there! I recommend everyone to take the cable car and watch the Ocean Show.

I love Ocean Park, it's a good mix of theme park and conservation/zoo. Lots of unique animals to see and the park focuses on teaching guests about how to help conserve the Earth and help animals rather than just use the animals for entertainment. I'd recommend to get here at opening and head straight to 'thrill mountail' via cable car to get your roller coaster fix and then head back down to see all the animals later in the day. We managed to beat all the long queuing times doing this. If you spot the Panda keepers putting out fresh bamboo then stick around for a few minutes because you'll soon get an amazing shot of the Panda eating his dinner!

i stayed in the hotel only, that's relaxing. the buffet is recommended

I had an amazing experience in Ocean Park..!The exciting and heart stopping rides were so cool and fun including the very long ride in the cable car. The WOW moments in the aquarium were priceless. It brought us to our childhood heart of hearts... The food were nice too but very pricy.Lol... .Even though I missed Santa Claus and the Panda, overall I had a great time there. Thank you.
