Crown Remodeling LLC Review

We interviewed four different roofing contractors and went with Crown Remodeling, even though their bid was 5-15% above the others. Crown
had been recommended to us, by a neighbor across the street who had
a roof replacement a few years back.

Our contract included a roof replacement, gutters and downspouts replacement, and painting the membrane roof of our screen-porch to
match the new main-roof shingles. We were pleased by Crown's prompt scheduling of the work: the roofers, the painter, and the gutters
crew arrived on successive days, toward the front-end of the
estimated availability window when we had signed the contract.

In hindsight, it would have been preferable for the painter
to arrive last --- the gutters crew marred the new paint-job on
the screen porch roof, which needed to be touched up afterwards.
This was done promptly --- within a couple days of our pointing out
the problem. The gutters crew also scuffed the (old) paint on much
of the eaves trim on one side of the house during the gutter removal/
installation. This, too, was remedied promptly by Crown. Lastly,
the roofers left behind a small but noticeable amount of roofing
debris in the lawn around the base of the house. This, again, was
remedied promptly by Crown.

These minor complications are the reason for my four-of-five star
review, but I would not hesitate to recommend Crown Remodeling to
others.

When we realized that we needed a new roof, we were not only worried about the cost but concerned about getting a reputable contractor to do the job. A friend had referred Crown Remodeling to us and we decided to contact them. After meeting with the owner, Jeff and hearing about the entire process, materials that would be used, price and warranty included, we were extremely impressed and went with them.

Months after and with a ton of rain, hail and other storms, I am happy to say that we have not had any issues and are able to sleep well at night. Thank you so much Crown Remodeling! I strongly recommend you!!!

Crown Remolding installed my mother's roof in May 2018 and it has been leaking in her house since that installation. It took them about three months to say it was the dormer. There are three dormers on this house and two are causing leaks in the ceiling. Crown remolding do not want to repair them because it was not specifically mentioned in the contract. Well, they were not specifically excluded in the contract either. In fact, in the contract it states "Tear off old roof and replace with new roof and all components." Dormer is a roof structure, often containing a window, that projects vertically beyond the plane of a pitched roof. Therefore, dormers are included in "All components." Workmanship is not good from this company. Consider using someone else when you need your roof replaced.

Crown remodeling replaced our roof, siding, and gutters after a really bad hailstorm. They handled our work professionally from start to finish. They dealt with the insurance company so that we didn t have to fight that battle and they kept us up to date all along the way. This is the worst company ever to have interacted with. If I can give it zero stars I will. The staff members I spoke with are just rude, demanding/ aggressive just want your check. The person I spoke with has no costumer service skills and I m shocked he works there. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We Love our new roof. Mr Jeff and his team did a fantastic job.
Materials were delivered on a Monday< the guys worked hard all Tuesday, and the job was completed early afternoon Wednesday. .
Roof looks great, but i'm honestly most impressed by their efforts to CLEAN UP. I mean, they really did take their time to make sure all the nails were picked up with the magnet and discarded, They did a legit thorough cleaning as well as a good job on the roof.

I called Crown Remodeling when my hot water heater bursted and created a flood throughout my entire condo. Crown was quick to come in with fans, tear up all the carpet and got my insurance company to pay for all of the damage! They did amazing work and my condo looks brand new. Very professional company from start to finish. I had my roof replaced due to storm damage. The roof adjuster/inspector worked with my insurance company to make sure the damage was accurately recorded. I had little to do but make sure the insurance check was handed over for the roof repair. The company did an amazing job on the roof and the whole process was very easy for me. I would definitely recommend Crown Remodeling to anyone who needs a new roof.

While in the process of getting our home ready to sell, we needed a new roof and gutters. Crown was recommended to us by our neighbor, so we went with them. They put on new roof and we also upgraded to 6 inch gutters-since we were having drainage issues. Everything came out beautiful and we were pleased with the cleanup of debris and their fast turnaround. Definitely worth a call to this company!

Crown Remodeling, a company that takes your money, doesn t make sure the crew doesn t cut corners, or better yet, doesn t do what is correct by tearing off all of the old shingles, felt paper, and ice & water shield off existing roof. Immigrant workers who don t speak English so you can t speak effectively to them. They performed work on Sunday without scheduling. Awful customer service and terrible follow up! No call backs after complaining during obvious concerns. One year later after saying all bad installation would be redone decide to tell me that nope we will just give you the rest of the insurance money. Hello, insurance fraud!!! Don t ever deal with the liars and lack of customer satisfaction this company has to offer. They are the worst when in comes to standing up for what is right and have zero integrity.

I recently, had a very wonderful job done by Crown Remodeling I needed a new roof and some some work done inside my home as well. What I liked most is I had some small issues during the project every time I called the company office my issues were taken care of. Lastly, my house don't look the same inside and out because of the job this company has done. Due to the recent Hail Storm in the Cockeysville, Maryland area, my roof had missing shingles and the siding on my house had so many dents and holes in it and it looked awful. We were so upset with all the damage as we had never experienced anything like this in all the years we have lived in the area. While we were worried and not sure where to turn and had contractors banging on our door and calling, we became stressed out. We did receive a nice looking mailer from Crown Remodeling and had noticed many of their signs on nearby homes in the area, so we decided to give them a call. Once we called and spoke to "Jeff" the owner, we knew we were going to use them. Jeff was so pleasant and comforting and he took the time to explain how the entire insurance process worked that he helped us to relax. Now that all the work has been completed all we can say is "WOW" what an amazing experience it was to use Crown! They are so professional, so responsive and most of all friendly and honest! Our salesman, RJ went above and beyond on making sure everything was done on time and to perfection! We are so happy with the finished product and we highly recommend using Crown Remodeling!

Crown Remodeling, LLC refused to complete the written Description of Work as agreed to in the contract signed on September 26, 2016. After nearly two-years of back and forth, the situation finally resolved through Arbitration conducted by the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. On August 24, 2018 Crown we received a check from Crown in the amount of our claim.

Homeowner Beware - There is so much more to installing a roof than shingles and underlayments. Protect yourself. Learn about ventilation requirements. Read the manufacturer's installation requirements.

Make sure you have EVERYTHING in writing. You must be very clear and very specific. If you want to make sure you have the manufacturer's warranty coverage, then you must make sure installation requirements are followed. Spend time on the websites of roofing manufacturer's, learn about building codes (International Residential Code, section R806 Roof Ventilation), supervise their work, and take pictures every step of the way. Do NOT pay them 100% of what is owed unless 100% of the job is complete to your satisfaction.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! Our Portico was in horrible shape as you can see in the before pictures. I had a different company come out prior to Crown and they gave me a rough estimate of around 1700 to fix it give or take a grand. They came out to give me a better estimate and discuss what they would be doing and left my Portico a complete disaster and then told me it would be 9000 to fix it! It was literally resting on top of a pvc pipe! My husband said NO WAY! Then I spoke to Randy from Crown Remodeling and he had someone come out right away! The customer service was right on point. Scott was the man that had to custom build a new Portico. He hand made the dental molding along the edges and it looked perfect! He was meticulous in every detail and kept us informed every step of the way. We knew what he was doing and more importantly, he was there when he said he would be. We have already referred them to our friends and we are definitely going to call on them for all of our future projects.

This company started out great in August. Inspected the roof gave an estimate signed the contract and got a deposit. The estimate included free gutters but after my insurance agreed to $4k less than their estimate the gutters disappeared from the contract so I guess free is four to them. Fast forward to now...December... four months & 2 invoices requesting payment for completion to my insurance company and the work never started. I called Tuesday or Wednesday... after getting the second (due diligence) call from the insurance company asking if the work was completed...to request the return of the deposit as I no longer want the service (my insurance guy said that I could ask for my deposit back and go with another company). The girl told me that I could not have my deposit returned because I have a contract. I told her my contract was signed in August and indicated that the work was to begin in 3-4 weeks and was to be completed in 3-4 weeks. It has been 3-4 months. She told me that someone would call me back. Now they won't even answer the phone and of course i can't upload the contract to show proof. What started out so good is about to turn out sooo bad.

Great company to do business with! We had a new roof installed in early December and the work was finished in a timely and professional manner. My wife and I were out of town during the installation and came home to a beautiful brand new roof on our house and our storage building. Don Rask, the salesman and Scott, the siding installer even provided same day emergency service when a piece of siding was blown off during an extremely cold, windy day in February which I really appreciate. I would not hesitate to use them again, and I highly recommend them!

This is going to be a long review, if you don t have time for a long read, Use this company. They are on time, they are honest and they do great work. My new roof and gutters look amazing! I cannot recommend Jeff and Crown Remolding any higher!

I bought my house 10 years ago and in those 10 years, because my home inspector was apparently blind, I ve had to have a lot of experience with contractors. I ve had to fix everything from the waterproofing of the basement to the chimney on the roof and in that time I ve learned a few things. First, for every job get a bunch of quotes. Second, if one quote is well below everyone else, do not use that company. You will get the job you pay for, and then have to hire someone else to do it properly.

I called 5 different roofing companies to give me quotes, Crown roofing was well below everyone else and as a result I was not going to use them, but there was something about the way Jeff (the owner) spoke to us that put us at ease. Maybe it was the way he didn t spend half the conversation trying to figure out whom else we were considering and then spend the rest of the time badmouthing the competition. Maybe it was the way he didn t use a high pressure sales pitch (we had one company give us a price that we could only get if we signed right at that moment and if not ) Maybe it was the way he explained to us the process. Maybe it was when the people in my community whose roof he just did were singing his praises. Maybe it was his nearly perfect google and facebook reviews. Whatever it was, we called back a week later and signed with Crown and we are so happy we did.

As I mentioned I ve had a lot of experience with contractors over the last 10 years, I can count on one finger how many contractors keep to their time tables. Jeff told us that his men would deliver the materials on Oct 2nd and start the job at 7am on the Oct 3rd. He told us that the roof would be done by the end of the day. Sure enough, at exactly 7 am on Oct 3rd I get a knock on my door telling me that they were getting started and by the end of the day the roof was done.

Crown Roofing is honest. Once we realized we had to get a new roof we also decided to add exhaust fans to the bathrooms in our house. We asked Jeff if he could duct them through the attic and vent them out the roof. He told us that he could, but he would have to hire a carpenter to work in our attic so he would charge us per fan. We were getting 2 fans. While his men were working on the roof I get a call from Jeff explaining that his roofers found that there were already vents on the roof so he wouldn t need a carpenter. He told us that he would still make sure the fans got ducted properly, but since he didn t need the carpenter he was going to remove the charge from our bill. Now I ve had many contractors start a job and then tell me there were difficulties they hadn t foreseen and now the price was going up, but I have never had a contractor tell me the price was going down!

Bottom line, I felt we were given the white glove treatment from start to finish. They are on time, they are honest, friendly, and they do great work. My new roof and gutters look amazing! Use this company, you will not be sorry. I cannot recommend Jeff and Crown Remolding any higher! I am calling them back today to get a quote on my bathroom.

I'm a Realtor and work with contractors on a regular basis, but dealing with Jeff from Crown Remodeling was one of the best experiences thus far. And this was for my own home. Once we came to an agreement on the work to be done, they never tried to up sell, and even went above and beyond the scope of the work to make sure we were satisfied. Everyone was very courteous and left the job spotless after they were done. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling work on their home.

They will assure you that your insurance company will pay for a new roof, and then when the insurance company denies the claim, Crown disappears, doesn't bother to let you know the result of the conversation with the insurance adjuster, and doesn't offer to do the job outside of an insurance settlement. Be careful too that the insurance company may offer you more than others would charge to install new shingles, yet Crown has you sign a contract to take the entire insurance settlement.

Had a tree hit my home, selected Crown to do the remodel work inside and outside. Owner Jeff was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. He was reasonable and detail oriented. Any hiccup was immediately addressed. Neighbors comment on how nice the remodel looks. Would recommend.

It is so hard to find dependable, fairly priced, and quality oriented contractors these days. Well look no further because Crown Remodeling is all three. I had such a great experience with them. The office staff was friendly and professional. The guys that did the work were amazing. They were so clean and the work was done perfectly. They put on a new roof and repaired some interior ceiling damage from leaking water and it looks incredible. I can't say enough good things about this company. The owner even called me personally to apologize after the job was delayed due to massive rain storms in our area. It wasn't even their fault but he took it so seriously and personally that he took time out of his very busy schedule just to let me know that he did not forget about me. That was very impressive. I would highly recommend Crown Remodeling for all your construction needs. They are awesome!!

Crown remodeling installed a new roof to our house in 2017.
We are selling our house right now. The buyer's home inspector found some installation mistakes by Crown Remodeling. So far, we have had 2 contractors evaluated the roof and they all agreed that the roof installation was not completely right.

I contacted the Crown Remodeling and sent the whole detailed inspection report to Jeff, the owner, to ask him to correct his mistakes.

First Jeff emailed me and asked for $750 to do my repair. When I ask him why he charges me for his own installation mistakes, he said that the roof was installed perfectly so it was not his mistakes. He said the inspector doesn't know roofing as well as he does. I was thinking to myself, if it were installed perfectly, then why you wanted to come out to repair it (for $750)?

I asked him if he can write a letter to say that the roof was installed up to the current roofing standard, he told me that would be $250 for a roofing certificate to certify my roof. This got me puzzled. "Can you certify the roof that you installed?" I asked. "Yes, I can," he replied. All I could say was "wow.....". This just doesn't make sense to me.

The whole time Jeff never even sent anybody out to look at my roof.

My memory brought me back to the time when they installed our windows 3 years ago. I found the actual windows shipped to our backyard waiting to be installed were one grade below the quoted grade. The difference was credited to me at that time after I pointed it out to Randy. With what is happening about the roof right now, I start to wonder whether if the wrong window grade was just an honest mistake or not.

My company rehabs homes for a living and we ve used several different roofing contractors in the past. We recently had Crown Remodeling out to bid on a new roof install for one of our properties in Reisterstown and the experience has been a complete pleasure! The President, Jeff, understood our timeline constraints and came out the same day we called to provide an estimate on the project. We ended up choosing Crown because they gave us a great price and were able to commit to the timeline we needed for completion. The service throughout the process and the finished product are excellent and we will definitely be using Crown for future projects!

Crown on modeling stand behind their work and did a great job
