They always seem to pack this place with more people than can comfortably fit. But its a nice venue with lots of big name artists.

Like this little place, nice place to see a concert.
Good sound. Plenty of room to find a spot. Would go again
Great Venue, excellent service. Have been coming to this venue since the Galaxy days and have seen the good and the bad. The last several times have all been awesome. Great bar service, security is helpful, staff is friendly. The show last night I needed wheelchair access and the staff was great with helping us out, I really appreciate you! We had a lot of fun at the show!
idr.?? too drunk; Bone Thugs.N.Harmony & tha dogg pound
Best Venue.. Rock, metal, HIPHOP!! bartenders know how to miss a drink.. best adios m$_&#@f;"&+!s I've ever had!!!
Small but great venue for a more personal intimate concert, no bad seat in the house. Mind you there are no seats standing room only.
Great venue. Standing room only, but it's cool until all the tall people stand in front of you. I've been there a few times and will be back for sure.
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this venue! As a short dude, I appreciate the multiple levels to sit / stand to get a great view of the band playing. Drink prices were fair, friendly staff, fun venue and vibrant atmosphere.
Great place for a small show. Upon a burning body was awsome
You already know was cracking Tech Nine was there last night
My favorite venue. Perfect size, great sound, great bands and close to home! Have seen many shows there and always my first choice when a band come to town.
Great venue. Easily accessible and really good shows
It's kind of small but great place to see your favorite artist perform live
Amazing time!! Got to see joyner Lucas in a great venue. Perfect view no matter where you are standing!
Crowds are mellow. Both rooms have good sound and have good views. The main room is two floors and has places to sit. The Constellation room is one floor with no seating but more intimate. Parking is generally $10 or free. It's in a business park area so not a lot of places to park without being obvious and risking getting towed. They serve food and booze and have a smoking area outside.
Cons: Rude, handsy, rough security. Grope people all the time, kick people out all time for various reasons. The other staff is rude as well and obviously hate being there.
Parking is $10 dollars and a little bit of a walk. As well as $10 for one shot.
Pros: Small venue, anywhere you stand you'll be close. Although sometimes it can be difficult to see past everyone depending how tall you are. Tickets have always been a good price
Totally worth it to see an artist you love but avoid security at all costs.
Science everywhere. Great place to learn about our stars and solar system. Awesome view of LA both in the day and at night. Lots of opportunities for photos.
Never been there before and terrible directions on how to enter with our VIP passes (which lines to get into, etc.) our VIP section was on the upper balcony and the sound was just terrible.
This is a cool spot for shows. I saw Evidence. It is great for having an intimate experience. There are two parking spots. One a few blocks away and one right in front of the venue which is a bit more costly. They have two bars and a decent selection of drinks.
Great bands. Great food. Great times. Line moves fast. You can slam dance here
The Box office staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. if you dont like your job get a new one bro lol
An awesome venue...it s small, so the shows are more personal...
Cramped rooms and stupid rules about what you can bring in. I seriously had to pay 3 dollars to check in my tiny flashlight. WHAT?!?!
Well this place is a small venue, so you can see your favorite artists from a close range. This is a good thing, but since it is small, it gets too crowded which makes it almost impossible to get a drink or go to the restroom . Once you make it to the bar or to the restroom it is impossible to make it to your spot. FYI ge your drinks once you get in.

Very happening place to see all the 2nd tier live bands . Well managed .
Greedy Hands....11 dollar beers.... 10 dollar parking, and there's plenty of empty spots in the area....Greedy hands....they cut off a band right before a 20 min. intermission. Greedy Hands! ! ! TO ALL BANDS ! ! ! FIND A BETTER VENUE! ! !
ONE OF THE BEST SPOTS FOR PUNK ROCK SHOWS IN THE O.C.
I love every single concert I go to at the observatory. Heck even my prom was there haha
Garbage! Too many people for the Ja Rule concert. People were touching you at all times. Huge disappointment.
I tried to see Melanie Martinez last night and there was NO SPACE. NONE. It was a good size room and balcony but they tried to fit in waaaay to many people. Even the hallways and stairs were packed with people just trying to glimpse a sliver of her from a distance. Fairly sure they pushed maximum capacity. I've been to plenty of concerts and I know it's always crowded but this was beyond ridiculous! If they wanted to make money they could've charged $30 instead of $20 and let less people in. Not to mention there was an opening act (though admittedly good) but they didn't announce it anywhere. So everyone was expecting her to come out, chanting her name, and then had to wait over an hour for her. I was so upset with how hot it was (literally dripping sweat) and not being able to move or see the stage so I just left. Really disappointed I didn't get to see one of my favorite artists.
Always one of my favorite venues. I always recommend getting there early as shows are typically GA and if you want a good spot it's best to arrive early. Love that they opened up a restaurant right next door too!
Great local spot to see live music. Basically you're looking at two venues in one, one room and Stage that will hold a couple hundred people, and the concert hall which will probably house a thousand people.
A perfect experience. All bands on time, great infrastructure/environment. The only way to make this even better is if they give out free beer all through the evening hahah
Easy parking to get in and out, nice venue. Saw Bad Sounds and Broods
Not the best sound quality in the back next to the bar, but it's probably better in the middle and closer to the stage past the bar area. Usually a young crowd. Commonly had 18+ shows. Decent drinksm Nothing too special. If you're there early enough for food the good options are greater than most concert venues.
Great venue to see live music... A little bit of a drive from LA but not bad if it's a band you LOVE (as I did). Drinks are reasonably priced compared to LA too. Parking is a bit wonky because it's built near an office park so be prepared to walk a couple blocks. View from the balcony was great although it cost more to sit at the tables along the front but was worth it to me.
Such a great place to enjoy music. I like that it isn't one flat level. No matter how far back you can have an unobstructed view of the stage.
Good music venue. Its got three levels on the inside so you can get a pretty good view no matter where you are. It can get pretty hot in there though, so dont dress too heavily. If you're going there for a music festival itll likely take place both inside the venue and the parking lot outside. Theres two bathrooms now so lines aren't as bad as they used to be but you should probably still be prepared to wait a while. Parking around this venue usually is a bit difficult if you show up late, if not you can probably snag a spot for 10-20 bucks at a parking lot across the street.
Not a bad place but definitely have been to better. The concert was excellent. Show up early and save your money on fastpass. I was disappointed with the smaller graphics background vs. other venues. VIP section needs updating and not really worth the extra $55/person, $300 bottles. You almost end up downstairs in the mob by the end anyways. Just a really good sales pitch to make more money for the venue. All in all, I would return but make adjustments.
the room is really small and stuffy but it was my fav DJ playing so I still had fun
If you need something more commercial this is the place
I came to The Observatory for the Eric Prydz show on January 1st and was very disappointed by this venue. Eric is my favorite artist in the world, but the venue was so oversold that in order to have ANY room to dance my group was forced onto the balcony upstairs. I'm 6'3" and even then I had to stretch my neck out to even see the stage, as the bottle service tables were placed along the perimeter of the balcony.
I understand bottle culture is where the money is made for nightlife, but it seemed very out of place as this space is more of a concert venue than a club. Additionally, buying a table seems to be the only way you can have room to breathe during a sold out show; the main dance floor downstairs was packed to a point of being unsafe. I've been to countless sold out shows in my life but my experience at The Observatory was one of the worst of them all.
Loved how up close and personal the concert was small but great venue
Nice venue good service very clean and organized the main stage has a powerful ac that even gets chilly so it's great.
Really Great place to hang and enjoy a show with your loved ones. Amazing almost unforgettable.
I'm very surprised this venue has such good reviews. I'm very surprised they have multiple adjacent rooms with simultaneous shows. Could hear the bass from the other show coming through the walls. Also, the drinks are small & ridiculously priced
Smoke friendly usually, big crowds, expect humid smoking air with a whole lot of sweat
This is the original Observatory. It gets too hot in here. It's a pretty cool looking venue. I haven't had problems with the security here. This one doesn't seem to be as bad as the one in North Park. The person I saw here was Kimbra.
Went here to attend a beer music festival but it was in my opinion not that well organized. I thought i was going to be able to park infront of the venue but the staff instead put signs to another parking lot that made you walk almost 10 minutes. On top of that the so called beer experience was all held in a small room filled with 200 plus people .Not really a good place to be having a festival in my opinion.
Good place with cool security and always have a solid line up! They also totally accommodate for wheel chairs if you happen to know anyone.
DragonForce was playing there along with Starkill and dancing with the dead and it was awesome I hope that DragonForce comes back next year 40 bucks well spent for me and my friend
Great concert venue and never too expensive. Parking is always easy and very safe, normally not too expensive and often times free depending on the show that night. The interior feels new and hip after their recent remodel. Overall a great concert venue!
Its a cool venue! Always have good artist the bartenders are syuper nice bouncers try and keep things under control but the crowds are sometimes rowdy but thats not the venues fault
Two stars us all I could see! Where are the are the telescopes! I left Knowing less about the universe, and someone told me Pluto is not a planet! YOUR NOT A PLANET! OR A GOOD PLACE TO OBSERVE THE STARS STEVEN HAWKINS WOULD BE SHAMED
I've seen Lucius at The Observatory and The Social Animals at The Constellation Room. I've been pleasantly surprised at the ticket prices and drink prices. The venue has great acoustics and an intimate atmosphere.
I personally love this venue. Parking is pretty convenient and cheap and the inside is nice and spacious. It could get a little crowded at times but its all good. The place has a very chill vibe. Its a spot where you'd go after a long day of hard work and hang out. Huge bands and touring acts usually come by this venue and perform for a much affordable price than an amphitheatre. Come by this place and cool off some steam.
Venue is always one of the best local spots arch enemy rocked last night
What can I say awesome not too big not too small! beer little cups of beer and big giant cups of beer price not that bad and I go to a lot of concerts
