The food is overpriced. $19 for a slice of what was basically lukewarm Stauffer's lasagne and some greenbeans and $5 for a plastic plate of iceburg bag lettuce. The other meals I have had are no better. Not only do you have to buy a ticket, but if you want to sit at a table (tables dominate the majority of the audience space) you must spend at least $15 on food per person to sit. A double gin and tonic was $26. The sound quality is less poor than it used to be, but they continue to compromise sound quality for volume. It might be a historic venue, but that does not make it worth the prices of admission.

Disappointed with the reserved dinner seating location (way out in the north 40) even after I told the office staff the artist was dedicating his annual concert to my brother who was his guitar tech and he passed away from cancer last year. I was told they would make sure me and my daughter got good seats since they didn't arrange the seating until an hour before the doors opened. Then, I see people that knew my brother seated right in front of the stage. Total fail on seating arrangements for this very special occasion. Food was okay, waitress staff does the best they can with the large crowd they have to deal with.

It's weird that this is called the 'coach house'. It's in an industrial park. When you get inside it feels like you're in some card hall on the outskirts of Vegas. Smells like $2.00 prime rib.

Weird concert venue, unless you're into old school dinner venues. Gross carpet, old finishes, but the food and drinks were excellent and the sound was good. There are only certain concerts I'd choose to see there. Overall, not bad, but not fantastic.

The concert was great. Beware that a bottle of water is $5, but you can get a free cup of ice water at the bar. We didn't eat dinner based upon the reviews of the food. We ordered the mud pie and it was a nice size for $10. People at our table said the food had improved. We saw a guy slip an unknown amount of cash to the guy seating people for better seats. We really enjoyed Five for Fighting.

Decent bands....way overpriced bar.
Uncomfortable old chairs! Way too loud...to the point of distortion, and bleeding eardrums...But like I said, decent bands.

Max Rip City on every portion and price. Mouthy customer's who think there cool and their not. Perfect fit when NRA lovin Ted Nugent preforms. Establishment shouldn't support artists that call Parkkand kids names.

Really good show, not really crazy about the line up for the rest of the year, and the New Year's show offering . Will of course be back because they do have great musicians that we enjoy.

They screw you on the bill. I had 6 people in my party and was charged $100 for water, lemon ade and a coke. "No sir, refills aren't free. They are $5 a piece..." The food was "Fine" at best. My House Special was a chicken breast with Bulls Eye BBQ sauce and Bush's baked beans for $19.
With all the options in OC, I highly doubt I will ever be back.

Great small venue with top notch acts. The seating isn't the most comfortable, though. Still I go several times a year. Keiko Matsui and her band members were so good. I didn't want the night to end.

Great entertainment there is something for everyone on thier schedule. Get there when it opens and get reservations for dinner and try and get a booth. There are free ones and others you pay for. 100 for those. Food is okay. I usually get a couple of appetizers for a us and a ceasear salad. I don't really come for the food so I am good with it. Look at the schedule find a show and have fun.

The venue is great in terms of size and acoustics. The food is delicious. Limited menu but still great. Service is excellent. I came here on the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day to see the Fenians, an Irish rock band. This is something like the 4th time the venue has sold out for this band. The venue is expert at seating everyone at once and getting everyone's order in at about the same time. The way it works is you can come in and sit at the bar or you can make a reservation. The venue opens at about 6, you are seated and long tables which you share with other parties. You are only required to order $15 of food per person, otherwise it's a 2 drink minimum. They don't really police it. They also sat us as an incomplete party. And they split the check four ways. I just had a wonderful experience.

It's a shame as it could be a great venue but the 'bouncer' they employ is a bully! I had a terrifying experience. I was stood in the entrance trying to order an uber when he actually grabbed me and threw me into a wall while screaming at me to get out of the way.. I'm a 54 year old lady! Horrible. I will never go back there.

Awesome staff, awesome atmosphere, awesome show. I'm visiting from New York so maybe this is commonplace here, but I doubt it. We had a great time, and had a long chat with the artist post-show. Hope to visit again soon

A good venue to see popular groups. Seats almost 500 and can feel crowded at capacity. Food is ok, drinks are expensive and parking is minimal. Dress is very casual, the interior shows It's age. It's worth it though if you accept the challenges.

Great venue for music, relaxed atmosphere and good vibe. Plain wooden tabletops offer rows of seating with others, a chance to chat before the music starts (after, you can't hear to chat, but well worth it for seating proximity to stage.) Better seating with a dinner reservation and minimum food order of $15 per person, plus drinks. Menu is a bit pricey, but my $36 filet mignon and baked potato were tasty.

Overall, The Coach House in San Juan Cap has been a staple of music players and lovers for years. It's the schedule to watch, with an incredible variety of talent that you will be lucky to see in such a small venue. Worth the ticket prices.

Tonight we saw "Side Deal", local California musicians who've gotten together from other bands while not touring, to do a kickass jam of each of their music and more, with special guests dropping in during the jam. Members consisted of founding players from Train, Pawn Shop Kings, Sugar Ray, Steely Dan & The Doobie Brothers +++!
Amazing show!

This place is a dive! It is in desperate need of renovation - the carpet is filthy. Why is there carpet in this place anyway? Food is below average and overpriced. Our waitress Cameron was good which is why I give this place one star. If it wasn't for her I'd give this place zero stars if possible. Don't understand why this place draws the talent that plays there. Sitting at long narrow tables on hard uncomfortable chairs is not the way I prefer to see a band. Won't be back.

I don t go to the Coach House for the food. Though l have to say that it s not bad! Try the New York Steak!
It s a great venue! If some of your favorite musicians are playing there, go! it s an awesome and intimate place. I ve seen many of the greats there. Always a good time. Willie Nelson and Leon Russell (sitting close enough to say, Hey Leon! How bout A Song for You , he gave a little nod and started playing it)! Like I said, Always good! Try that at Staples Center or The Forum. The Coach House is good just for that reason. I have seen both of those guys at The Forum, the experience is not better or worse, it s different ! The Couch House is like having the act in your living room! It s much more intimate and, Rockin out , at the Forum with 20,000 people is a lot of fun, the intimate setting of the Coach House is a completely different experience. Both are worth the price! and the time. I always have dinner at The Coach House because you get the best seats. And the food is not bad ! But it is expensive! Try the New York. Have fun! and listen to the music! and keep on dancin !!

The experience was great for the music and entertainment. The drinks are horrible, the alcohol is watered down. Recommendation, do not order cocktails. The meal ( house special) whiskey herb chicken, very tasty. A bit crowded.

I love Coach House! It is small and close to home and great bands for inexpensive ticket prices. Easy to park and free. It's easy, casual, and fun. We have seen 38 Special, Abba Fab, Vonda Shepherd, English Beat, Super Diamond (several times).
